Prick
Prince - Symbol & The Gold Experience
Dude! Another Prick fan? Holy crap! That album is so underrated it's a crime. I saw him open for Bowie/NIN a few years back too. At least we know he sold two CDs.

And, yes, those two Prince albums are top notch. The musicianship on the Symbol album is so tight.

Awesome choices, sir.

Jeff Buckley - any of them, but mostly Grace given the greater quality for being the only studio album
Our Lady Peace - Gravity

Well, since most of my listening is done from my MP3 player, and I have a tendancy to pick artists I like & dump all their albums on it, it's hard to narrow it down to single albums. So I'll do artists instead:

Cold (probably my favorite "newer" band)
Smashing Pumpkins
Ozzy/Black Sabbath
Megadeth
Roxette (Always Roxette. My favorite group by far, NO ONE writes songs like Per Gessle.)

There are a few individual albums I've been playing a lot:

The Rentals - Seven More Minutes
NIN - With Teeth

Queensryche - Operation Mindcrime

Thats the only one that really comes to mind right now. Seems like one of the few albums I can really go back to consistently over and over again. Most of the time I'll listen to just about any album I buy over and over again for a period of time after I buy it, but since I got an MP3 player and a Yahoo Music subscription I haven't really listened to whole albums through like I used to; I'll just download a bunch of songs/albums, load them up and set the player on shuffle.

good to see some love for failure...fantastic planet is one of those rare cds i try to put down for a few months so i won't burn myself out on it, but i always run back to it within weeks. i could listen to it daily. if anyone could help me find a reasonably priced copy of comfort i would be most grateful, as it would be a nice addition to my failure collection.

yes, have checked "on" out and it makes my list (really both shifting skin and make believe)...yotr is ok, but i'm not sad that they are effectively no more. you should check out autolux if you haven't (greg edward's new project).

that said, i'd like to add to my list:

autolux - future perfect
grandaddy - the sophtware slump (just downloaded some grandaddy and can tell it will be in heavy rotation for a while)

Holy shit... Another Queensryche fan. I saw the 2005 Operation Mindcrime tour at the Rave in Milwaukee (noticed your from Wisconsin) It was awesome. Probably not as good as they were in the late 80's, but I was satisfied.

Revolution Calling, Breaking the Silence, I Don't Believe In Love, Eyes of A Stranger...
Classics. That album never gets old.

Man, I really would've loved to catch that show; I just had a lot of other crap going on at the time and couldn't go :whistle2:x Hopefully I'll catch 'em when they start touring again to promote Operation Mindcrime II :D

Actually, I can say Prick def. sold 4 cds as I bought two of his. Once cause it was good and the second time because this chick stole my other copy. (It was worth it, I got sex.)

I should have listed this one as well. Also Empire from them.

Saw them a few years back with Iron Maiden.

I'm not sure if I should be ambarrassed by this or not, but I never get tired of listening to Everclear: Sparkle and Fade.

How do Cheap Ass stingy gamers buy albums? Average price I see is anywhere from $12 to $20. Does not seem cheap to me for a 12 or so songs of 3-5 minutes each.

That's a damn good CD, so no, don't be embarrassed.

You lost your Prick after having sex? Sucks being you, Dude.

I wouldn't be ashamed either, I guess. I remember hearing Heroin Girl for the first time and I was like...13? Maybe 12. Anyway, I played the hell out of that CD for like 3 years, but haven't heard it in years. Everything before and after that was kinda...bleh. But that one will always sound good to me :D. And right now I can't stop listening to:

Broken Social Scene - self-titled
Low - The Great Destroyer
Arab Strab - The Last Romance
Mogwai - Mr. Beast
Film School - self-titled

Listen to these almost non-stop during the commute and at work.

I tend to hit up the used CD stores, Half Price Books, and half.com. Using these, I tend to average out paying only around $6 per disc. Its always kind of hit or miss with them, of course, but if you're patient you can get just about any album you want for that cheap or less. The only time I really buy new is if something just came out and isn't likely to be popping up anytime soon used.

I just discovered Everclear, they're awesome.

That's a guilty pleasure of mine too but I haven't listened to it in a few years...

I get 99.9% of my music from friends or people I know. I've got about 1,500 CDs at home and people are always willing to trade.
all this half-shamed everclear love and no shout outs to So Much For the Afterglow?
Only listen to it when once in a while. It has more of a pop sound to it that I don't like. Don't even get me started on the latest Volvo album, ugh!

I only own 3 albums, all 3 are Everclear: Sparkle, Afterglow, Movies Vol 1.

Girl friend is in love with Everclear. Been on stage with the lead singer person twice now during concerts. Art I think his name is? She wants his babies or something like that.

Anyway, she got me started listening to them a couple years ago.

For me, it's a MxPx album called "Slowly Going the Way of the Buffalo." I've listened to this album since 1999 and I still haven't grown tired of it. I'm 17... so my musical taste hasn't matured yet. Har har.
I dont listen to actual music. I only listen to video game soundtracks, to hold me over until I can actually play a game again.

Are you serious? You never listen to music besides video game music. To me that sounds crazy.
