....IF they let you do it....it will be great....

"Not good in combination with any other coupons or offers." It would be interesting to see if this works in their computer without an override....i'm sure some people would be able to get a nice CSR but around me if they can say no they will say no....

Same here. Everytime I've tried to use the GGC in conjunction with another offer at BB (i.e. spend $100 on video games and get a $20 gift card), I've been shot down.

If anybody gets it to go through without a computer override, please post.

A friendly employee in Best Buy told me that I'm the only one she knows that uses the $5 off gamer's gift card. She told me that I'm a cheater but I said I'm just smart. I wouldn't buy from them if I don't save $5 off from them.

I just tried to do it, only let me use one $5 off. Can't use the reward zone thing and the normal coupon.
But this would work on games less than $19.99 (unlike the GGC), right?

If so, I'm gonna get me some $5 Ribbit King! :)
This is only for the games featured in this week's ad, unfortunately.

Of course, you may end up with a cashier that applies the GGC to a purchase under $19.99 anyways. That's how I got the GameCube Ribbit King for $4.99, and the new PStwo stand for $9.99. Evidently the computer can still apply the discount, provided that the cashier isn't paying attention.
Hey did anyone use the old GGC, for $19.99, after the expiration date a few days ago? Do they still work?
Honestly how come there are so many questions regarding expired coupons? If they're expired, just consider them expired. We had many many years to use and abuse 'em. Let 'em rest. =-P

Actually the GGC promotion is still goign on, he just means the old black ones that expire on Dec 31 2004 instead of the green ones that expire in Dec 2005. I remember accidently buying an older type GGC at the end of 2003 and wanting them to switch it before I left the store for one that expired in 2004...they told me that it wasn't necessary because the coupon would still work after the expiration date....I didn't totally trust that so I had them switch the balance anyway, but that's what they said.

Some stores (mine) let you use the Expired coupons, even from 12/31/03, because they still sell them. Ask a manager. It's definitely worth it.

someone should prolly lock this thread tho since the double dipping really won't work under normal circumstances....or at least change the title to add EXTREME YMMV.

ive never NOT been able to combine the ggc with a pricematch, all i do is when i go for the PM, i say that I have a gift card I would like to use, i usually put $5 on the gift card(that is the minimum) and when i hand them the gift card, i have the GGC underneath the gift card and they have let me use both every time so far.

i think combining the GGC with rewards $5 off may not even be possible with the computer, like someone mentioned.

That's good that you can, but it's been almost everyone else's experience that you never CAN combine. At least in every Bestbuy I've ever gone to, the coupon just doesn't come off once there's been a pricematch.

A while back I was able to use the GGC for anything. I got Harry Potter (GCN) for $0 ($4.99 - $5.00 GGC) and I also used it on DVDs that were both under $19.99 and not games.

But it will not work now. The computers won't allow it, so it is not as simpe as just getting the cashier to scan it.

I got some games a couple weeks ago and gave the cashier 4 GGC and she scanned them all, but only three were accepted because Metal Arms was $9.99.

Also I got one to scan with a Price Match, but the coupon was reduced to $0.00 since the match was more.
