All of these awesome Wii games are starting to piss me off

Metaphor is pointless because it ignores the fact that you can have the best of both worlds.

Just as you can have a hot chick who has a great personality and isn't high maintenance, you can have games that are a blast to play and also look amazing.
Since the cost to develop a game is less than what it is for the PS3 and 360, it bothers me that there is only a $10 price difference between Wii and PS3/360 new releases. A $40 price point for games would be much better. First party PS2 games were sold for $40, so I don't think it would be a big deal.
What bothers me more than the $50 price point standard for new games is the $50 price point standard for old ported games...Prince of Persia, Scarface, Godfather, etcetera. A bunch of remakes with no real content added and they start at full price.

Resident Evil 4 was the only remake actually worth money and suprisingly they came out at a fair price.

My rule of thumb is I want to spend no more than $1 per expected hour of play on a game, so I generally wait a few years before even attempting most of the games that come out. I can't convince myself to spend $50 on a brand new game let alone old re-releases.
