Some weird game prices though. The service is alright, it has a client but it doesn't require you to run it. Occasionally when launching a game it requires you to double check with their servers that it's legit, not sure how often you need to though.

EDIT: Steam is mirroring the sale, GMG has 2-3 dollars on a few of the games but I personally prefer Steam. There also seem to be a few other 50% off's like Final Fantasy 11 complete.

GamersGate, least intrusive DRM and currently largest selection

Considering that the strat/sim games (i.e. Europa Universalis III, Supreme Ruler 2020, etc.) that I have from Paradox don't have any drm, online checking is totally unacceptable. :bomb: I just buy the disc versions on sale or close-out. Once installed, they don't even need the disc.

I respect that but the ability to re-download whenever I want is invaluable to me so I pay the DRM price for that privilege.

If it works for, that is fine. Excuse me for sounding like a jerk about it. I will let you know that the disc version of Europa Universalis III Gold does come with a key code to dl the game from Gamersgate. Paradox is one company I have no problem sticking up for.

tempted on MnB, but I'm guessing that game is going to be one of the sick deals that steam will have on black friday.

Been wanting to pick up Penumbra ever since it was on sale a year ago (I missed it), but it was cheaper then for the complete pack ($4.99 I think). I think I'll wait til they have it for that price again.

Same. I'll wait for the $4.99 price point as well.
greenmangaming is pretty cool in that you can sell back your games... I wish Steam would implement something like this
One of the reasons for Steam's existence is to prevent the re-selling of games. It is set up that your buying licenses that are added to a non-transferable account. I really doubt that Valve will ever have a trade-in program.

While it would be nice, since I've bought most of my games on Steam for

IF you are a strategy game fan, Paradox is a wonderful addition. The only problem with them is that you MUST wait for the game to be out for quite some time before they get most of the bugs worked out, and even then it's easy to find things to nag about. Once you learn to work around them, though, these games can be profoundly satisfying.
