All VHS movies now 99 cents each at FYE! B&M

Not bad, my local Movie Gallery has all VHS $0.99 each buy 2 get 2 free but the selection is horrible. This sounds better especially if there are any somewhat newer movies (stuff from the past 5 years or so)

same here but they call it "Movie Mart" lol

Looks like I'll be heading to fye later...can't help myself from buying classic wwf stuff
Do they have any typewriter ribbons? I'm looking for those as well.
You made me get funny looks from my co workers as I bellowed out in laughter.

All of you guys with the snarky comments can suck my big toe...

Seriously though, some people will pay crazy money for the most obscure crap on ebay...which is where the stuff I bought is going.

what vhs tapes were these?

I'll be sure to look for VHS tapes next time I get the chance to visit FYE.

And regarding typewritter ribbon, I helped restored an old typewritter last year, good times >_> Somehow a typewritter with about 30+ years of storage still had ink on it....

Just do a search for "rare vhs" on there. I usually look for ones that I think probably aren't on DVD...those usually get you like $6-$10 but many more can get up in the $20-$30 range and some even higher. I remember about a year ago, I had a Jimmie's Chicken Shack concert VHS tape that went for about $60-70. Two guys got in a bidding war and the rest is history.

I actually did just that after I read your other post and posted. Kinda interesting to know that some vhs tapes can still net some money on the bay.

MovieStop (same company as GameStop) sells all of their VHS for 99 cents all the time, except for kids movies. I've bought a crapload of anime from them over the past couple of years.

Very interesting, didnt know Gamestop had a division just for movies. But according to Wikipedia, theres only 25 stores nationwide and they're only in Alabama, Virginia, and Florida.

Hm, I was not aware of that. I had assumed that they were a national chain, especially since they are right next door to each other. I figured some GameStops opened up as standalone strip center stores, while others opened as GameStop/MovieStop combos.

Guess I should consider myself luckier than I thought.

We have some here in Georgia.

And why are people so quick to get rid of classic technology? Are there no fan bases for VHS tapes? People are just tossing them away like used kleenex.

and Georgia as well :whistle2:D

I got my info from Wikipedia, obviously not updated, dont blame me >_> If you happen to have more updated info, why not update it yourself? ^_^"

This reminds of when a new electronics store opened near my parents about 5 years ago and my dad asked, with a straight face, "I wonder if they'll carry reel-to-reel?"

Wow...There are a lot of Atlanta/Georgia folks in this thread who don't post in the official Atlanta CAG thread. Shame on you!
