I'm a reseller looking for supplies. Some of you have collections you're outgrowing.

You could haggle individual titles with other members or you could sell them in bulk to me.

What's the scam?

For games that are brand new and sealed OR used and complete, I'm offering 80% of the game's eBay average selling price.

For games lacking instructions and/or soundtrack, I'm offering 70% of the game's eBay average selling price.

For games without instructions and insert art, I'm offering 60% of the game's eBay average selling price.

For disc only games (chincy Gamestop cardboard sleeves), I'm offering 50% of the game's eBay average selling price.

Damaged instructions (fair condition or less) or insert art (tears, water damage, etc) reduces the price by 5% each. Games obviously have to work.

What are you looking for?

Games for the PS1, Saturn*, N64, 3DO*, Dreamcast, PS2, Xbox, NGC and Xbox 360.

*-I'll buy a system with these games since I don't own an actual system for this type of game.

Who pays for shipping?

If the number of games is less than 10, you do. Otherwise, I'll pay for priority mail with delivery confirmation using flat rate priority mail packaging. If you can get it to me for cheaper, that's more money for you.

Why don't I just sell the games myself on eBay?

Even if you get 100% of the average selling price, you still have to deal with all those fees such as the listing fee (2.4-3.5%), the final value fee (4.1%-5.25%) and the standard 30 cent fee for every Paypal transaction that isn't associated with the percentage fee. You can get more money, but you have to take all of the risk and do all of the legwork.

Why don't I sell these games to other CAGs?

I certainly shouldn't be the first choice for selling your games. Let everybody else on the site pick over your list. When you're tired of waiting for everything to sell, PM me.

Why don't I save up my PS2/NGC/Xbox games for trade in deals at Gamestop or EBgames?

In case you hadn't noticed, I don't think EBstop has ran any trade X games, get Y free deals since The Suffering 2 and NBA Live 06 (except Zelda  ). They were truly awesome deals, but I don't think they're coming back until all of the next generation systems are out.

How much will you pay me for ?

Send me a PM and wait for me to find time between 2 kids, a wife and a full-time job with a long commute to get back to you or find out the price on eBay yourself. The longer the list, the longer the wait. I can respond a lot quicker to lists with prices. They are given priority.

I don't have a Paypal account. Can you pay me through a money order?

Yes, but I have to withdraw the money from Paypal, buy a money order, slap signature confirmation and insurance on it and wait for it to reach you. I can be patient if you are.

EDIT: Since most people will see this post first, I'd like to offer money for store credit or gift cards.

Here are the breakdowns so far.

Toys R Us, Sears, FYE: 70%

Blockbuster, Gamestop/EB Games, Game Crazy, Circuit City: 80%

Wal-Mart: 90%

US currency: 95% ::LOL::

This thread just eerily fits with your avatar.

But I'll definitely keep you in mind when I've got games that just won't go away.

I applaud thee sir. No more beating around the bush as in the past about you reselling things on eBay. A free bump to you and good luck.

Thanks.

Believe it or not, many of your early criticisms of my actions forced me to analyze their profitability.

I've sold much less than this time last year, but my profit margins are much better.

If I could solve the eternal problem of consistent supplies and keep my margins, I'd have the makings of job or possibly even a career.

...

I've proposed this same idea to a local indie video game retailer.

For some reason, he started selling most of his used PS1-Xbox titles at a rate of 6 for $25 late last summer.

When he selected 10 games at random and I made him an offer based on 80% of their eBay value, he flatly rejected it.

Then, I picked up 6 games:
Resident Evil 3: Nemesis
Gauntlet: Dark Legacy
Nectaris: Military Madness
One Piece: Grand Battle
Dragon's Lair 3D
Mega Man X: Command Mission

He let me walk out for $26.50 after taxes. If he had taken my offer for 80% of their eBay value for those games, he probably would have ended up with $40 or $50.

Haha, glad I could be of some assistance. ;) I'm still doing a slight bit on eBay myself, but nothing like I used to do. I really love the 10 cent listing days though.
Feel free to buy out my entire store inventory :)

Dave
Under the old management, the local Game Crazy would give me their inventory list.

I think I bought 200 or so games during the last classic plastic sale and over 100 games during the last B2G1F used sale.

During the B2G1F sale, I ended up buying 50 of the games on the last day of the sale.

If you want to PM me your inventory, I'll start researching prices I can pay. It'll take a good week or so to compile everything.

During that time, you might want to check if your higher ups are willing to offer a bigger discount.

If I'm not mistaken, the highest discount a store manager can offer is 20% off.

Also, make sure dealing with me won't get you canned.

I don't think my dealings with the old manager caused him to be replaced.

However, he said he wouldn't discuss it until he talked to his lawyer.

I was talking about my ebay store inventory - I don't own a store, and I work over gamecrazy just like you :). You can see it by clicking the CML button.

I am kind of shocked to see your feedback rating though without having an ebay store - is there a reason in particular you don't have one? For the lower value items, it saves a ton in listing fees

I don't work at any retailers. If I implied or stated that, I blame the newborn induced insomnia. From my conversations with most retail employees, their masters frown upon their slaves outsmarting the system. If I ever would work for a retailer, it would be as a store manager and with an ironclad contract that I couldn't be fired for using the store as an eBay conduit. I won't hold my breath for those terms to magically appear.

Actually, I'm working as a schlub in tech support. I'm waiting for another entry level programmer or testing position to appear, pay my due long enough at this job so I can apply to higher paying tech support jobs or grow some facet of this business so that it can be a full time job.

Regarding feedback, I've listed thousands of items over the last 18 months. It just happens.

My reasons for not creating an eBay store are pretty simple. The wife gets annoyed when my games are sitting around for more than a week. Although eBay listing fees are lower for stores, stores pay higher final value fees. I'm pretty happy with using eBay as a pay as you go service. If I get supplies up consistently, I'll revisit opening an eBay store or even a B&M store.

Bump.

Finally caught up on my PMs.

So far, everybody has been understanding that eBay prices suck for the most part. No killing the messenger.

I wish the customers at my job were as understanding.

bump.

I took the week off for the B2G1 both for stock and to not compete against EB/GS's bonus $2.50 credit for each additional game.

If EB/GS poo pooed your trades or you find yourself with more games you won't play, send off a PM.

I should be able to get back to gizmogc tomorrow with prices.
I have a sealed copy of FFVII GH version hit me up
Supposedly, the average selling price for this game is $57. There must have been some sort of resurgence in value. I remember selling this game in 2004 multiple times for less than $20.

Anyways, $57 * 0.8 = $45.6.

Try again a factory sealed copy sells on ebay for $90
I sold an open copy for $61.00 2 weeks ago so 80% of $90 is $72.00
I would sell it for that much I guess
so you want to strike a deal w/ my list? i've pm'ed you the updated list.
Damn This Sleep Deprivation!

I saw your PM and forgot all about it. Yes, I'm interested. Let me get some prices together.

I can't get an accurate read for the average selling price of a Dreamcast. It probably due to rare DC games being worth more than the console itself.
