Alright CAGs, what's your favorite cocktail when you go out to dinner?

CAGiversary!
Rather than have a topic about beers, shots, etc. how about a more refined alcoholic drink topic?

When you go out to dinner, if you get a cocktail, what do you get?

I personally get Jack Daniel's and Coke or a screwdriver.

used to be Jack n' Coke, but every where i went, thats all there was. I got fucking tired of it, so now im in to mixing Cognac with different things.

lawls at calling cocktails more refined than beer.

i usually order a guinness at dinner, but if i order a cocktail its usually a gin & tonic.

Eh, I used the wrong choice of words in my original post. In other drink topics, beers usually would dominate the results. I was just legitimately interested in cocktails only, so I'm mistaken on the refined part.

I drink distinguished beer like a gentleman, and I make sure to bring my top hat, white gloves and monocle.

Seriously though, I stay pretty far away from mixed drinks. I can do rum/whisky and coke on occasion, but more often it's straight up or on the rocks.

If I'm at a nice bar and it's a very rare occasion that I wouldn't want beer I'd probably get a whiskey or amaretto sour, cranberry & vodka, or whiskey & cola (this would be my first choice if I see Canadian Club on the shelf).

Although technically I can't drink it if I went OUT to dinner. But if I am in my home, Jack N Coke is my favorite drink. Mainly though because it one of the few drinks I have ever had.

Yup. I was drinking 3-4 nights a week pretty much throughout my 20s. I just don't have the time or energy anymore.

Or, if I'm playing trivia and want to really get drunk, it's an Irish Car Bomb or five.[/quote]

Seconded on the ICBs...but doesn't that count as both beer and a shot?

Generally, though, I'll mix it up a little bit. Apple martinis are really good.
