That pretty much just stores music and has wifi capability? I like the idea of an iPod touch, but if it's gonna give me problems like my 30 gb iPod did, I'm kind of not interested.

Any ideas?

The Zune 2 would be an excellent choice. I personally own an Ipod, but my bro has a Zune 80gb and it is amazing. I steal it when I goto work out and the sound just rocks. Plus it does have wi-fi and in 08 they're adding games!
 
Well, if you're looking for something that does both music/video and browses the web well, I don't really know what else there is out there, but if web browsing isn't something you really care about, the new Zunes are very good, and they even support wireless syncing, which I so wish my iPhone had.
 
iPod touch is amazing as it is very EASILY hackable and once you do that you can download 3rd party apps like aim, mail, google maps, gba emulator. I highly suggest it as I have one and I love it.

How do you play GBA games without buttons?

There is a on screen button layout. Its transparent so it goes a bit over the game screen. Pretty cool.

Wow, awesome. I assume there are also other emulators as wel, such as NES, SNES, Genesis etc.
 
yeah..my buddy just got a 16Gb ipod touch and jailbreaked it...does all the same shit the iphone does..i am gonna help him attach a mic and make it work with VOIP
 
holy shit, thats amazing. i wish they made a 30gb touch.

i just got a zune2. i like it A LOT the sond is noticeably better than my ipod and im not an audiophile at all. the layout is nice too, overall nice. only thing i dont like about it so far is the touch pad is a bit low, it makes it a little more difficult to use it with one hand, though its not bad.
im expecting an 80 gb or 160 gb ipod for xmas, i currently would prefer the zune 2 over even the 160gb ipod.

do you have a guide for attaching the mic and getting VOIP? Also, what other apps/functions do you recommend?
 
No it wont crash it runs smoothly. You can also easily hack it in less than a minute, clear and simple.
 
Still, the touch is NOT worth the money you pay. The memory on those things should be double that for the price you're paying. Don't attempt to deny it.
 
U should get a archos player. these things are simply amazing!!!
Well worth the price, touchscreen, huge screen, any kind of file can be played in the archos, avi, divx, mpeg, mp4, etc, etc.

If you don't mind the price tag, as I'm sure you don't because you plan on getting an ipod touch which is what $300 for a 16gb ?

The archos has a 160 GB for $370. Yep 160 gbs instead of a measly 16gb, ipod touch is a ripoff.

I'm pretty sure the old Zune 30gb is $99 this week somewhere...Staples or Office Depot? Not sure offhand, but I know I saw it.
