Alright lets hear it, who scored a Wii today?

got mine on the 26th(BB's 2nd shipment of wiis)
luckily for most everyone in the line they had 60 :D(saw only a few ppl leaving that just got there around 9:30)
they told the 1st guy in line they had 60 and he shouted it to the rest of us
i waited for 3 hours at number 16 from 7 to 10

I got into Muncie, IN at around 2:30 am Sunday morning. Best Buy had a huge line, Circuit City had 6 that were spoken for by the time I got there. Luckily, TRU didn't have a line so I started one there and got one of the 14 that they had.

I left the house at about 5:30 am, drove to about 7 different stores -- Target, CC, BB, TRU, etc. I was about to give up until I decided to check out the local Gamestop for the hell of it. There was 6 units available, and I was #6 in line! I got really lucky. Someone was already #6 and left since her husband scored a Wii at a Target or something.
Anyway, I waited about 4 hours in the freezing cold. But it was fucking worth it!

What's interesting, is that people were getting in line knowing that they weren't getting a Wii, but doing so anyway just to buy DS Lites! Nintendo is going to make a killing this holiday season.

I am SOO happy I was really paranoid on launch day and wound up waiting outside TRU for 12 hours to score a Wii...

Back in them days, people talked about how EASY it should be to get a Wii.

...So glad I didn't believe that theory!
Waited in line at Target for 8am with gf for 2 wiis (She wanted one!). Didn't get a wii ticket, but took a ps3 one as no one else wanted to buy it (All wii buyers! A whole line of 45!). Bought the PS3 and saw some college kids come into the Electronics Dept. looking for Sony's new device. Headed back to the car overhearing their dejected sorrows as I had bought the last PS3.

I turned and said "Hey guys, you want this one?" and they were totally up for that. They were adding together all of their cash and said "We're gonna be short, can we give you a wii? We each got one (5 guys) at TRU, we waited since 1am and they had 0 PS3's".

How cool! So I was in for a Wii and the difference in cash. When they were short again, they offered a second wii, so we went home with 2 wiis & the cash difference after negotiating in the Target parking lot. How crazy is that?
Awesome, congrats man!

Yeah, I waited around 4 hours at launch to get one. The store didn't get their shipment. I was fucking pissed.

As for the second shipment, I waited in line for around 3 hours, until the manager casually walks out and informs us that he is holding 4 Wiis out of 9 for other employees. I was #6 in line.

Needless to say, I deserved one!

the mrs and i split up. we were on a mini-vacation in orlando, which is probably why we ended up with one (another friend told me people were camping at about midnight in miami, glad i wasn't there). i dropped of the wife at best buy at 6am and she was #28 in line. i went to target and was #09. at 7:30 am best buy anded out 25 tickets. when ticket #10 was handed out, #2-5 attempted to scalp their tickets at $150 a pop! only 1 sold. me? i got ticket #9-15, but i told myu wife to keep her spot since you never know what may happen with mine.

people were getting restless, 1 girl attempted to empty the line earlier by telling the people up front that her "friend" who works there said they haven't recieved anything, but she stayed in line the whole time.

well, i got mine and called my wife to tell her not to buy one (some people were desparate for their kids, no need for me to exploit that) and she told me that 3 of the ass hat scalpers couldn't sell their tickets and had NO intention of buying a wii. that best buy considered the tickets valid for 15 minutes, and there were 5 minutes left. my wife, who would have had the last one, and could have sold it for more in the same line, gracefully gave here spot to the pregnant woman behind her... who kindly thanked her for her kindness.....

I tried to score one for my in-laws but came up empty handed. I arrived at Target at 5:45 am and was about 19th in line but Target only had 17. I then went to Best Buy and was about 35th in line, thinking that BB would have a minimum of 40 (as posted online somewhere) and they only had 24.

Oh well, guess I'll just bring my Wii over to the in-laws for xmas.

Does anyone else find it strange that most BB stores only had 24 units after 2 weeks of not selling Wiis?

Was it two weeks or three? I thought the last BB hold was Black Friday weekend (11/26)?

I had a gut feeling BB would have big numbers yesterday because of that and that their 15 min. would be far exceeded. Guess not.

My local store only had 18; TRU had 27. Almost the same as past weeks; BB had 18, TRU had 30.

i think best buy may be hoarding and slow releasing them truoughout the week... or maybe somekind of bundle for saturday only.

Yay! I finally got one!

I got to circuit city around 2:45am and was 3/8. By 5am there were 30 people there. Thank god I didn't go to bb, who apparently had a 40 person line by 3am.

Now I just have to find a wiimote or two.

The best buy line had already filled up for all 18 systems they were getting by about 9:30 Saturday night.

I was number 9.

I FINALLY scored TWO Classic Controllers today!!

I went to Gamestop on my lunch break..and saw ONE left and bought it. I went to EBgames..and guess what?! I got the LAST one of that too!!!

After a MONTH.. I got 2..and 2 of the LAST ones. YAY

scored at tru. i got there at 3 am. i was 19 put of 22. no one in line knew how many they had. glad i didnt wait for nothing.
What is up with you people? You should know you're not getting a Wii console if you go any later than 2AM. I spent all night in front of an EB on Black Friday to land my Wii. Granted the store opened at 5AM. but still. After all this media hype, I'm not even sure why you're letdown. It was to be expected.

I got to my local Circuit City at 1:30 AM. The second person in line didn't show up until 6:30 AM. Luckily, I was able to wait in my car for those 5 hours and I was drunk off my ass, so it really didn't bother me being that early. I was just happy I was able to secure one for my sister's Christmas gift.

Oh yeah, forgot the expected:

I was #1 out of 30.

I could never wait in a line more then 10 or so people for around 8 hours without knowing how many systems a given store has. I can wait a long time, but i need to know, The not knowing would kill me. I waited on launch for about 11 hours in spot 30 or so. The target had 60 systems when i called. They also had security the whole night and we were behind a concreate wall. It was a fun night.

My bro and I got to circuit city at 130am on sunday, there had to have been 50 or so people there with us...at 630 a guy came out and said they only had 11 systems....I was 10 my brother was 11...Irish luck is the best. ^_^ Congrats to everyone that got one.

I got mine on launch. I'm keeping my ears open though as to local stores getting more in so maybe I can grab a second one :)

i lucked out, my wife & her best friend got there (ebgames) @ midnight & where 1st in line, & waitted till 10am to get it. & yes i know how much she loves me. now i can wait till xmas morning!

the beauty of my story of getting a wii was basically that the store i went to has a toyrus (times square) and nintendoworld in a 3 block radius of it and therefore, almost all the campers went there. i started waiting in line around 5am and i was the third person in line (out of 20), so i asked them to save my spot briefly so i could check out the situation at toysrus and nintendoworld. 100 campers at TRU, and 80 at nintendoworld. hah.
