If the first game -- Chicken Invaders 2 -- is any indication, these games will be of the "casual" variety, so don't expect massive discounts on AAA PC games. But free stuff is free stuff! Be sure to check back each day for a new game.

just FYI, chicken invaders shows up as $6.99, but if you click on "buy full version" on the right, it will show up as being free after discount. Thanks OP!

Missed the chicken game, but I'll definitely check back the next few days. Free games are free games, and at the very least this will probably be better than most of the kongregate fair I end up spending time on. Plus, if I can DL a game to my netbook and kill some time waiting for a plane, then it's more than worth it.

Who am I being a dick to? That wasn't directed towards anyone. It was just a sarcastic general remark about my personal opinion... I'm just not excited about these games. I can get better free games on my ipod/phone...

Typically when you're uninterested in a thread, it's not necessary to spam it with posts about how uninterested you are. You don't need to keep shitting on OP's post because he had the nerve to make a thread that doesn't please ultra-important you.

Lol you guys speak like your perfect little angels... I can guarantee I could go back through both your post histories and find a remark negatively geared towards someones thread. So don't even try to pretend like you guys are the saviors of CAG.

Also, what's this speak of me "keep shitting on the OPs post"? I said one thing, I'm not staying here trying to stop people from downloading the stuff. You guys are seriously over-reacting.

It was a good find OP, I would've posted it too even if I didn't want the games. I'm just not interested at all. The games look like second rate iPhone apps and I wouldn't even waste my time downloading them considering how many other games I can/could play for free. To those of you who download them and enjoy them, great, I'm happy for you. It's just not my cup of tea and I'm entitled to my god damn opinion. So to Confoosius and Survival, back off. I said one measly comment and now you're trying to make it seem like I'm FireThief or something...

Seems to me like they both work both ways provided that there was no further insight alongside the original statement.

And who knows, maybe there will be a higher quality release thrown in there. I've tried both games previously, and they aren't terrible, but I agree that they're not much better than most smartphone game apps.

Fine I trolled. So sue me... Here's what I'll do to make it up... Here is why I said the games are crap:

Instead of playing Cake Mania, go play Diner Dash. It is far more entertaining and isn't just another clone. Of course I didn't actually play Cake Mania but from the pictures/videos, it looks far too basic and not nearly as much fun. It seems to be a stripped down version of Diner Dash focused on the recent BOOM of cake tv shows. However, if you are a diehard cake fan, go ahead and give it a try.

Chicken Invaders looks like a childrens version of Space Invaders/Galaga and all its like clones. There are about 1,000 different versions of this you can find online for free (that are typically far deeper and more complex) from Newgrounds, Addicting Games, etc... and they don't require you to waste space on your hard drive. I would however download this for a child. It seems like the target market is geared towards them anyway. It's got cutesy graphics and seems very lighthearted. From the amazon reviews, it looks to be very short and very shallow, so don't expect much fun playing it if you are older.

Those are my observational reviews of the games. Not trolling, being helpful.
 
To be honest, I actually remember playing Chicken Invaders some time ago and I liked it. I have come to realize that nonsensical games are the best ones (for me) :D too bad I didnt catch it. But, thanks for the post OP I got Cake Mania

Erm . . . shows up as $6.99 for me when I do that. You sure that you didn't accidentally hit the "Get Free Trial" button instead?

Let's put it this way, I'm not taking the risk and hitting that "Complete Purchase" button. While it looks like a decent enough game for free, I definitely don't want to pay money for it!
 
At least you posted this, OP, but I'm not installing Amazon's DRM shit for the few free arcade games I remember to get from this.

Oh, and I really just chuckled at the contrasting attitudes between the posters in this thread and the one you created in the Contests & Free Stuff forum. :lol:

Really? It's not like it's a toolbar thats gonna tell on you when you watch porn. It's just an interface between you and amazon software. Theres nothing invasive about the toolbar at all.

Not only that, but AVG is reporting the downloader as a Trojan. Not worth the risk for me.
