If the first game -- Chicken Invaders 2 -- is any indication, these games will be of the "casual" variety, so don't expect massive discounts on AAA PC games. But free stuff is free stuff! Also, from what I've tried, you can uninstall the Amazon installer and the games work completely independent from it. So really not much of a problem in my opinion, just have to reinstall if you DL another game from them.

One of the reasons I had switched from Steam.

People with kids? People with girlfriends or spouses that prefer this sort of thing to shooters, action games, etc.? Or if you just want a time waster and don't like to pay for retail or even downloadable games, this works. That's why free and 99 cent apps have exploded in popularity in just a few short years.

Granted, there are a handful of really good releases on iOS devices and such now, but the vast majority are still on a similar level to these "garbage crap games" that can still be entertaining to some people.
 
it amazes me how many many people complain about free games. simply just dont play them or spam this thread if u have no desire to play these games. nobody cares if you don't like these games, do you want a hug?

Even if Amazon is trusted etc. I don't blame the person for not wanting to install it if they don't need it. Google Chrome (continually updated developer version) made my desktop PC go all kablewy recently (ever recurring WER error) so I just installed Firefox and all better. Still use Chrome on my laptop and netbook (normal variations) but not going back to it on the desktop, not worth the "possible" aggravation as long as FF works for OK me.

I'll probably DL a few free games as the kids like them. Already have BigFishGames and Gamehouse/Real/Gametap installers so what's 1 more?

On a negative note - I like these games, but $9.99 MSRP? Really? No wonder people buy so many $1.99 "i" games.

The reason I wont install stuff like amazons game installer is solely because I just dont need nor want extra crap on my pc. Im very anal about my pc. Its like someone that always keeps their house clean. Not installing this is me saying "take your shoes off before you come in".

that's cool. I don't install crap like the yahoo toolbar or google toolbar because I don't like clutter.

But some people said they were afraid of viruses. FROM AMAZON!

omg LUXOR! i actually played this game completely on my friend's laptop a few years ago. also payed it on my psp. so much fun. its the first of the free games that im actually going to download. good stuff

Man, I hate Luxor. But free is free. And someday I will feel an overwhelming desire to play it and now I have it.

grabbed luxor and granny in paradise. can't wait to see tomorrow's offering. can't beat free, even if i only get a few minutes worth of enjoyment out of them.
 
Got up to level 80 on Burger Shop and the customers are brutal. Thought I would only play for a few minutes, then I wanted to see how far I could get before the game would piss me off lol.

This thread is awesome. I missed out on day one but have picked up all the titles since. My wife LOVES these games. Thanks so much to the op.

(and yes...you couldn't pay me to play these games. But the wifey loves them and they are free. FREE!)

You're right! Much respect to the original OP for bringing it to our attention! Even if we get one half-decent game, it's more than worth it. Then again, I'm a sucker for anything free! :applause:
