Dear Amazon,

Please stop putting Skylanders for sale on the Lightning deals.   My daughters have already gotten too many from me for Christmas already.

Thanks!

Call up customer service for RDR.

I just purchased the GOTY for $14.99 and the CS rep gave me a $5 promotional credit to effectively make it $9.99

How does Skylanders even work? Is there any reason to get new characters other than them just having different abilities? Like, is there an overall story to beat so if you beat the game, then get new characters, what happens then? You just restart and can have new people?

in order to beat the game, I suppose you can slog through with the ones included.

in order to FULLY beat the game, you need 1 skylander of each element.

the rest is gravy.

whew! I was in the waiting list (no. 84) for RE5 Gold Edition and thought I was too late then a minute later Add to Cart!

Got Amazon cred to burn though, but thanks for the info.

That's the Swap-Force one right? I honestly thought Giants was the new one. Is it not? I don't care which entry I get, whichever is cheapest
See if a BB near you has this. It is pick up only for the 360 version, ps3 is shipping.

It is the Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure Starter Pack - Xbox 360, $19.99 and GCU works on it if you have it making is effectively $16 dollars. Cheapest starter kit out there at the moment.

Some of the stores around me still do have it so it isn't a unicorn or anything yet everywhere.

Well other than trying to grab a couple movies from Walmart tomorrow I'm done with my in store shopping. TV is on it's way from BBY and got Zelda and Mario for just under $60 total. Now for the Amazon Lightning deals to get really good so I can blow the rest.

I understand the aspect of saving money, but I've got that old-school mentality where, if I can, I have to be able to touch my games to feel like I own them, or--in the case of download-only titles like Guacamelee!, I Am Alive, etc.--I have to pay at least a small amount.

I brought the printout of the Borderlands 2 GotY $20.99 price, but my BBY didn't have any copies.
i went to walmart, toys r us and target, no one had Borderlands 2 GOTY, target had the 360 version, but not the PS3 :(

Man, would've been a nice price but closest store to have one is in the next state over. Thanks though

Jesus Christ, Amazon is just fucking terrible this year. Not only are their "lightning deal" prices laughable, but they're STILL adjusting their deal schedule the day of the sale? I can understand adding things, but removing them after getting people hyped up? That's fucking bullshit.

I think them adding stuff during the day is worse. I know I checked Lightning Deals page this morning before I left for work and there are games now added that weren't there. Thankfully it's nothing I'm looking forward to but they are expecting people to be glued to the page. It's going to lead to some people missing out on deals they really want, that's for sure.

Almost the same with me, except going to target/walmart to pick up a few blu rays. I will get BF4 on pc if its 25$ on amazon, if not ill end up getting it at GameStop.

Still have a few more lightning deals to look forward to though, tomorrow morning and now amazon put up the deals on the 29th, I would like to get Monsters combo paco blu ray and Rio, but I think I can just get those at walmart/target for almost the same price maybe even cheaper, assuming I can get there in time.

So many decisions! Damnit.

ugh I am going back to sleep borderlands 2 better not go on sale or i'm gonna be pissed
Target's doing it for $20.99 on PS3 and 360. Call Best Buy's hotline and get a PM. I did it last night and got it!

BL 2: GOTY was really good.  Btw, if you got a friend that has the GOTY you can just ask them to let you borrow the 2nd disc and then just install all the DLC.  You'll be able to access it from your vanilla copy.

Fail price on Fuse. Was hoping for $5, thought it would be $10

They added GTA V in the upcoming list, says for the same price it is right now...

Do you place the order with BBY online and then call with the order number? Or call first, then order with the rep on the phone?
You have to call someone directly on Best Buy hotline, and then mention a Target/Target.com PM. Get the item number on Best Buy's site, and then they should do it.

I keep seeing people talking about Borderlands GOTY... just wondering why your all stoked about it. Unlike the last games GOTY edition this one is NOT complete. There was quite a bit of DLC that came out afterwards. Odds are there will be another ultimate super duper edition with everything later, right?

I wanted Fuse on PS3 as well... :( $15 was too much anyways.
yea but i probably woulda payed 15 for the PS3 version. Havent seen it dip that low yet

I think I've seen it around that price on AWD, don't remember which platform it was for though

Thinking back, I don't why I thought Fuse would be cheaper when RE5 wasn't... oh well

Debating whether or not to stay up for the 3AM (EST) deals after the prices I've seen so far. Not a complaint, just not what I was expecting/hoping for. Then again, there are so many that I would jump on if the price is right that go live then, I probably should just to make sure I don't miss one...

As one of the lucky few who nabbed it for 21 bucks, if they do release another Season Pass or do the remainder of the DLC in another bundle, you're not paying a crazy price for it all. 20-30 bucks for the GOTY edition leaves room to buy the rest of the DLC later if there's any full blown expansions instead of cosmetics.

So is GTA V going to cheaper than $33.99 or should I bite now? I think its the lightning deal at 5am EST and really don't want to get up early for nothing.

I was going to pick up the RDR but when I clicked on it there was a description for vanilla version. I moved it to my save for later list so I could just check out with RE: 5 Gold. After that, I wanted to take a chance on RDR being GOTY but it glitched and disappeared from my cart completely.

Resident Evil 5 Gold is normal price. Guess that means the ones on sale are sold out. How do you join the waiting list for it? On the deals page, it says there is still over an hour for the Resident Evil deal to expire.

Anyone get Resident Evil 5 for xbox and is interested in co op with me?

Let me know, my XBOXLIVE is phrozenthedruid.

Also, anyone planning on getting the hitman HD trilogy or any of the other games that are on sale at midnight?

weakest deals so far.... i guess we are all waiting friday to see what they pull it maybe with lower expectations we can be surprised
