If memory serves, most of the Black Friday deals were offered in higher quantities than the lightning deals, and I'm not sure if they'd want to show off their deals in a little window that shows you two or three items at a time.

I have no idea either, but I figure if I'm up this late I might as well finish the job. It gives me something to do since I'm not going to Old Navy - I called and she said they had something like 15 copies of Lego Rock Band total for that promotion, so that went out the window.
 
I will pass this year, there is really nothing truly worth getting, no assassins creed 2 for cheap, most of the games listed are garbage, I was about to buy Tekken until I read a review where the guy said it looks like a ps2 game

Oh, well I'm not sure where it'll be. My advice would be to have the Lightning Deals page up and ready AND be ready to look for the PS3. I'd think it was a lightning deal but you just never know. Isn't it exciting though?:bouncy:

Haha, I've been a huge fan of Tekken since Tekken 2, but I was very disappointed with Tekken 6--especially with the online portion. You made the right choice.

I picked up Seasons 2 & 3 of Entourage for $9.99 (doing the same thing for Seasons 4 & 5 this year :)) and Heavenly Sword ($19.99), Left for Dead (PC, $19.99), and Fallout 3 (PC, $29.99). Was going to grab Dead Space for $29.99 but Amazon was only discounting the 360 version. I grabbed the PS3 version from Target for the same price. Needless to say I made out like a bandit last year, especially since Dead Space, Fallout 3, and L4D had all been recently released within the last month! :D

I think it's only logical for the ps3 bundle to be a lightning deal. There's no way they would put it for deal of the day.

Yeah, I didnt like tekken 6 for a lot of reasons but graphics werent one of them. Maybe the moron didnt realize that if you turn motion blur on it bumps up the resolution. Even still, the motion blur while doing moves is what makes it look different from other fighting games.

Best thing I can think to do for PS3 is get multiple tabs open and just be ready to grab it wherever it lands.
 
Tekken 6 graphics are fine, a notch below the arcade version but still looks great.

Online sucks donkey balls. However there was a patch released today that supposedly addressed the issue (although I've been too lazy to actually try it out). Being broken on launch day left a sour taste in my mouth however, and pretty much means it's the last Tekken game i'm buying anywhere near close to launch. SF4s netcode is so superior, it's not even funny.

Also, just wondering, it seems the amazon ps3 deal
is much more popular here than the walmart one, why is that?

Same situation as me! Convincing my wife it's the right time now to get the PS3 is made much easier by my Amazon credits and the $30-off console coupon from the trade-in promo a while back, so if I get the deal, it should be just another $120 out of pocket. Whew...

For me, Amazon is tax-free and offers free shipping; also, I shudder at the thought of being at Walmart on BF opening with the crowd. At least on Amazon, if you can't get the deal, you can just go ahead and jump back right in bed...

ps3 bundle is probably a typo.
People probably don't want to pay the tax that you would have to in stores, plus you get a $10 credit. The deals are basically the same in value, though.
 
Oh, I just looked at the orders for today, it says they are expected to show up on Tuesday (Dec. 1st w/ 2 Day Prime). Guess they might not be shipping mine until tomorrow :S

The online works a hell of a lot better now after the patch that was released today. The graphics look fine to me. The game is actually 2 years old after all. Great game to me. The only thing I don't really care for is the rage system.

As long as they don't go into the shipping soon process it's easy to cancel. You just check the cancel box and it's done :)
