Yeah amazon PMed the Wal-Mart 360 deal (they also had it available for $10) but decided that PS3 owners would not be so lucky. I guess we should at least be happy the discount on GTA IV (PS3) was better than the DS3 discount of $1.01 since I think many people were expecting a Radioshack PM there. I guess you win some and you lose some with amazon's lightning deals!

Seems like a good deal until you remember the reissue will be out in March with new characters, stages, costumes, etc.

I dunno. Last year's Cyber Monday Amazon deals felt like leftovers that weren't really good enough to make Black Friday. They were basically things that didn't sell out over the Fri-Sun weekend with maybe $5 more off and a couple of things that they had previously and had "sold out" but kept a few back for another push.

I have few to no expectations for Cyber Monday from any retailer.

I'm kind of happy there weren't huge deals today. I could've potentially spent over a hundred if there were a ton of games I wanted but instead I didn't end up spending a penny. I've spent a decent amount over the past few months so it's nice not to splurge today.

I say pick up Okami. It's a steal at that price. It's one of my favorite Wii games, the art style, the story, the gameplay, it's all awesome.

i know it's a steal and probably an excellent game. Warhawk for the PS3 was like $16 forever and I never ended up buying that. Why? Because there are simply other games I want more ATM (Infamous, GTA IV, and others). Really it's more about holding back on spending too much.

okami is a masterpiece and is up there with psychonauts and a link to the past (snes) as the greatest action-adventure games of all time. not only do i think it is better than twilight, i think it blows away ocarina too (ducks).

I think what Ocarina did so well is that it created a whole new template that people could alter. I mean Assassins Creed 2 is using Z-Targeting which was first seen in...yeah you guessed it. The list goes on.

Twilight Princess failed because it just did everything Ocarina did, but better. Okami altered the OoT formula enough to make it unique and thats why I believe its superior.

No Zelda game will 'surpass' Ocarina of Time until it can shift the Action Adventure paradigm as it currently exists.

Anyway, hoping for a better Assassins Creed 2 deal this weekend or Cyber Monday. Otherwise I'm pretty much done gaming-wise this Black Friday weekend.
