Amazon.com 4gb memory stick $38.99?

I found this at Amazon.com a Sandisk Memory Stick Pro Duo 4GB for Psp Gaming the discription says 4gb but the pic shows a 2 gb. I ordered one and the discription said 4gb all the way thru check out and my email still says 4gb so now i'll just wait and see if I get a 4gb or 2gb.
If I get a 2gb at least I have a email to prove I ordered a 4gb.
Thought I'd post this in case anybody else wanted to try it .

Sure, let us know. Might have put a question mark or something in the title since you're not sure if you're going to receive a 4 or 2 gig'er.
 
That one looks dodgy. Frys.com has the Lexar 4gb for $39.99 plus $7 shipping right now.

It has also been $29.99 with free shipping a few times recently.

I would be careful on Lexar though as people have reported issues reading cso's unless they are on firmware 3.51 M33.
 
order using a credit card. if it comes a 2gb instead of a 4gb.

Call them up and tell them send you a 4gb or you just dispute the charge and tell them to stick the 2gb up their #$#$##$

I would go for it but already have a 1 GB stick (500 left) and thinking about getting the new psp bundle what would give me another 1gb stick

also i got another 256 Mb stick sealed never used What i probally never open since it so freaking small
 
May want to read the reviews:

I did read that reveiw before I ordered but still took a chance. I can't see amazon not making it right Because the discription does say 4gb.

If you then read the discussions, some guy who ordered a 2gb card recieved a 4gb one. So the reviewer was sent the wrong order. Also, the ASIN number is correct for the 4gb model.

I went ahead and ordered it and paid with Credit Card. If they don't send a 4gb I will just call them and get it.

Sandisk is the better brand for PSP as I believe that Sandisk is the manufacturer for the Sony branded cards.

i thought what the hell, the PS3 uses this and good luck finding a 4gb for 39 bucks shipped

i figure with no sales tax its like buying it for around 35 bucks. I highly doubt even around thanksgiving a 4gb be 35 bucks

+ i get to hound the hell out of amazon when they send me a 2gb

how hard is it to move memory saves off one card to another with the psp if at all
 
Putting that prime to use, grabbed one. I was going to wait for another frys sale but this is pretty much just as good if it comes through because of frys sales tax

items is Out of stock. they are to get more in on the 16? i think that is why they are still allowing orders.

if you go to more sellers page it shows Item out of stock. expect more in on the 16th of sept.

dont ask me why it keeps saying 1 in stock. should say OOS more coming soon

1...Amazon sends a 2 gb and then when i call to complain sends a 4gb and tells me just to keep the 2gb for my troubles : )

2.... amazon credits me back the 38 bucks and tells me to keep the 2 gb one for my troubles

that would kick ass lol


what probally happen though i get a 2gb one then i have to dispute with my cc company cause amazon sucks at returns

very easy if you got a card reader or usb cable so you can copy files to a computer

I'm new to the PSP but I belive you can just drop the file to your desktop then drag it back to your new card after the PSP formats it.
 
Yea i'm almost 100% sure that your gonna get the 2gb Stick.
only question now is how much you are able to get off the lucky amazon customer service rep.
last time i remember amazon is pretty good at compensating.
I would bite on this and give a try at the CS but i currently cant use my credit card and i don't want to use a debit card since i might have to do a chargeback if amazon is F-ed up.

thanks. lol never thought about putting the files on a pc. i been movie pictures off my pc to psp never thought about doing it the other way

psp to pc ... now to find my stupid usb cable.
 
My order shipped today. Shipping notification is keeping with the 4gb theme so we'll see how it turns out. If this really is an error I wonder why it is going this long without a fix
 
just got my email also. I agree that if it was a error It should have had been fixed by now and now I have 2 emails that clearly say that I ordered a 4gb card in case I do get a 2gb
 
good, looks like we are atleast SUPPOSED to get the 4gb. Also, the only place I have seen these this cheap is Frys.com(40 shipped) and those are LEXAR and have been reported to have issues running cso's.

Also, the ASIN number is correct for the 4GB model.

It is almost always the photo that is incorrect at Amazon, atleast in my experience.

Sandisk are supposed to be the manufacturers of the Sony branded MSPD and fully compatible with the PSP stuff.

At the least we can send them back.

I remember ordering a book before with the wrong picture but I recieved the right title when the time came. I'd also like to see how this turns out...
 
Well I got a 2gb and called customer service and he said he would send me out a 4gb after a few mins on hold he said they were out of stock and I asked about sending another 2gb put on hold again and they were out of stock also he did say that the product discription was messed up and right now my only option was to return it. oh well poop happens.

That sucks, sorry to hear that man.

I was sooo close to trying my luck on this too, since Amazon has always made up their mistakes to me.
But i went the safer route and got the 40$ lexar which is working perfectly btw.
Maybe you shouldnt give up and try another CS person.
and try to be more of a hardass, say it really inconvenienced you and that your a long time good customer and blah blah the standard BS routine.

wont do any good called 3 times and they give you total BS about the item being disconitued and they wont get anymore in . Watch in a week they will put them back up on the webpage. Says you have to wait 7 to 10 days for a package lable to come and then 10 days to process it then up to another 10 days for a refund So 30 days..

#$#$# amazon. im calling up my CC tonight im not going to let Amazon keep my $$$ for 30 days


Friend said he called and was offered to keep the 2gb for 19 bucks. Total rip there since 2gb can be found anywhere around 20

23 buck gift code and a full refund on the memory card. Meaning i can buy the other memory card for 38.99

so once i get my credit back in the end i will get a 4gb card for 38.99

Did they let you keep the 2gb card, on top of everything else or do you have to mail it back for all that stuff to come through?

Edit: Bah! Just received mine and it is indeed the 2gb one. Invoice says 4gb. Time to call!
 
i got a 23 buck gift code credit right now. the other 38.99 will be sent back to my credit card after they get the item back

now hopefully the 4 GB cards come crashing down in vaule LOL

person 1 50% off card (almost took )

Person 4 20 % off (couldnt understand them they had to say 20% 10 times before i could undestand they were saying 20% sounded like 70%

person 5 Nothing, then i told them i would cancell prime and walked to talkl to their boss cause its the same card. took around 15 mins but they finally gave in and gave me

23 buck credit code now and the other 38.99 posted back to CC when they get the item back

i almost took the first offer BUT though i really needed a bigger card if i wanted to start downloading movies. and already have 2 x 1 GB cards

so it was like getting a 23 buck code for the hassle

Yay! Called back and they gave me $20.00 off the 2gb stick I received. So 18.99 for the 2GB stick. I didn't really want to ship it back anyway. The 4gb one for 38.99 arrives on friday.

yea they offered that as well when i told them i didnt have a printer to print off the return slip. but i didnt feel like spending almost 60 bucks in memory cards .......... LOL funny thing is i paid 50 for the 1 GB card last year OUCH

if your hurting for memory maybe but i dont need memory sticks that badly : )
