Amazon.com Matches This Week's Ads - PoP, Tomb Raider Underworld, ETC.

nice to see, even though its a rent not buy kind of game.

related, is this the only game theyre matching/planning to match?

i saw best buy has bioshock for $40 (amazon already has it at $45)
mirrors edge somewhere for $44, etc.

id like to buy bioshock for $40 from amazon and give them my service (instead of BB), but eh, we'll see what happens...

Same with Motorstorm PR, $40.
nice, gona wait and see if they drop the price even more.. lol
Same here, this game will probably be dropped as fast, if not quicker, than AC did.

hey how is this game? it looks awesome but is it worth the money or should i wait till it drops more? thanks

game is awesome, but only takes 10 hours to beat. replay value isn't large, so it really is a rent type of game. i was suspecting that amazon would throw this game in their gold box PS3 day, and this price drops makes it even more likely they will have it in there. if you must have this game, id wait at least until the 18th to see if they offer it for cheaper.
Why do ubisoft games drop so quickly?
Its not dropping, only at amazon/cc is it 49.99. its still 60 everywhere else lol.

Sigh. i just bought it from amazon too.... Im starting to hate amazon.
Ubi game, will be $20-$30 range by New Year's Day...
I was referring to this. And how quickly Assassins Creed dropped the $30 range.
Probably too many copies & waning interest in those series.
That's probably it. Assassin's Creed sold pretty well on the first day and the week of release, but no one was really interested in it after that.

Most Ubisoft games have fallen into that trap even if they're not bad games. But it's probably worse right now because of the big name holiday releases that are stealing the show.

Im surprised they haven't matched Best Buys Motorstorm Pacific Rift for $39.99. It is the only sale i was interested in this week.

That and probably since there's no multiplayer or real replay value other than hunting for flags, people sold it as soon as they beat it.

But it is true UBIsoft games are usually discounted pretty heavily within a few months.

I actually bought Prince of Persia on launch day and yes I can agree that most Ubi games do go down within a few month's time.

Now in terms of POP being a rental or a buy, I recommend must-buy. There is a chance for replay in the fact of the different paths you can take in the worlds to reach destination. Plus the experience alone is amazing and worth going through again

I'm disappointed Amazon isn't matching Motorstorm. I think it's because it's already included in a promotion: Buy a game, plus a blu-ray (the blu-rays on the list have all increased in price) and get a free remote.

Amazon is matching the PS3 version of Silent Hill, but not the 360 version. Anybody have any experience in getting Amazon to price match on another console?

^cod4life66,
While it is an incredible game, I got rid of it because of the constant frustrations from the horrible spawns. The spawns are abysmal and enough to ruin the experience for someone like myself. However, if you can look past it, the game is great although not as solid as 4.

To everyone else, be sure to take advantage of the amazon prime 1 month free trial. The best shipping service I've ever seen. After a month it's 80 per year and even that is a good deal.
