Here is a list of all the known games on Amazon that come with a gift card or gaming credit. If the Amazon price decreases between your order time and the end of the day of the release date, you'll receive the lowest price. Release date delivery is available on many of these titles, which is free for Amazon Prime members.

The status of these offers fluctuates. Please read the details on the Amazon product page before ordering.

Amazon Credit & GC Deals FAQ by Lucian[hiddenlist]

1. What is Amazon game credit? How is it different than a gift card?
Amazon game credit is a discount off a new order only. This means it cannot be applied to an existing order, unlike a gift card that can be applied at any time. Occasionally, a CAG will report that customer service applied a game credit balance to an existing order, but this is extremely YMMV.

In addition, game credits can only be used on gaming items. This generally includes all games and accessories for consoles, handhelds, and PC shipped and sold by Amazon. Credits usually cannot be used on systems (either console or handheld). As far as digital content is concerned:
- Xbox Live codes sent via email - No
- Xbox Live physical points cards - Yes
- PSN codes sent via email - Yes (confirmed by grantme 7/3/2011)
- PSN physical wallet cards - Yes (someone please confirm via PM)
- PC game downloads - Not sure (someone please advise via PM)

2. What about the expiration date? Does this mean I can't use it on a preorder that releases after the expiration date?
The expiration date is the date by which a qualifying order must be placed. The order does not need to ship by that date; however, if you cancel the order after the the credit expires, it is gone and cannot be recovered.

3. Can I stack game credit?
Yes, you can stack game credit to your heart's content. However, remember that each game credit has an expiration date and must be used prior to the expiration date. Currently, Amazon does not provide information on your credit balance through their website, so either track it yourself or call customer service for assistance.

4. When will I get my game credit or gift card?
The exact timeframe is specified on the product page in the section detailing the game credit, but it is usually 2 business days. The game credit or gift card will be deposited into your account and you should receive an email notification once that occurs. Of course, it is possible for email delivery failure, so you can check your account depending on the type of bonus:
- Gift card - Go to your account and check your gift card balance
- Game credit - See FAQ #9 below 'How can I check my credit balance?'

Please wait the expected time frame before contacting customer service asking for your credit.

5. Can I use game credit and gift cards on the same order?
Yes.

6. I want to order two (2) copies of Newborn Ninja Assassins 2 because of the $15 game credit. Will I get $30 in credit?
No. Game credit offers are limited to 1 per household per title, so you will only receive 1 game credit.

7. What if I order one (1) copy of Newborn Ninja Assassins 2 for PS3 and one (1) copy for Xbox 360? Will I get 2 game game credits now?
No. CAGs have reported only receiving 1 credit per title even though the titles are for different platforms (i.e., have different SKUs).

8. A credit was just added to a game that I already had preordered. Do I need to cancel my order to qualify for the credit?
No. To date, all game credit promotions have had verbiage indicating that This offer will be extended to all existing pre-orders.. To be 'safe', you may want to get a screenshot of the promotion as proof should you need to contact customer service after the game ships.

9. How can I check my credit balance?
Place a preorder for any title to see how much promotional credit is applied. Cancel the order and the promotional credit will be released back to your account as long as it has not yet expired.

Also, Amazon recently added the ability to view your balance on the MP3 download screen. Go to any MP3 download page and look for a blue splat with a $ in it; it's right below the purchase button. Click the link next to the blue splat that says 'Redeem a gift card or promotion code & view balance' and a pop-up will display available credit. Videogame credits will display under the category 'SOFTWARE/VIDEO GAMES', but may contain credit applicable only to software downloads.

Other Amazon-related questions

1. Why does my order say the estimated ship date is a week after release?
Amazon prioritizes shipping for Prime members and those who paid for shipping over those taking advantage of their Free Super Saver Shipping (FSSS) option. Sometimes this means that a preorder will not ship for a few days after release, though I've never had an order take as long as they estimate. I expect their estimates accomplish 2 things:
- It covers their worst case scenario backlog and makes you feel better when it ships earlier than estimated.
- It's a nice marketing ploy to get you to either pay for shipping or sign-up for Amazon Prime.

2. My Amazon Prime or Prime trial is going to expire in a few days. What happens to my existing orders or preorders?
Amazon Prime (whether a full membership or a trial) applies to all orders placed during the Prime membership period. This means that if you preorder an item that ships months after your Prime expires, that order will still be covered under your Prime benefits (i.e., free standard or 2-day shipping and sometimes release-date delivery). If an item becomes eligible for Release Date Delivery (RDD) and you already have it preordered with 2-day shipping, it will automatically be upgraded to RDD even if your Prime has since expired. However, if you need to change the payment method (e.g., if your credit card has expired) on an order after your Prime has expired, your Prime benefits on that order will be lost. In this situation, you can apply a gift card balance without affecting Prime benefits.

Yes! I just ordered Reach today before it was pricematched because it was 56.99 in my Goldbox.

So will this be seamless, getting my 20 GC? Or will I have to email Amazon?

Who knows.

Just had amazon add it to my order, which will probably not get me the GC without further emails. Oh well, sweet deal

I thought I should post that :psp: Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker may have a $10 promo (edit: and apparently hidden under "Special Offers and Product Promotions," under "Product Features" and right above "Product Details" with the ASIN number)

I also checked the page for Super Mario Galaxy 2 in hopes that they added the $20 for that (I'm assuming they're PM'ing Wal-Mart with Halo Reach) and was disappointed  C'mon Amazon, you know you want to add it. I'm getting addicted to these promo offers, so I hope they continue them for quite a while.

wildcpac: Reach is out sometime in the fall. Considering Halo 3 and ODST, I'm assuming September.

Awesome news with the Halo Reach PM. I have preordered at a $50.99 price point, too.

Now, if they could just match that Splinter Cell Conviction gift card that Wally World's got...

Awesome Amazon deal on Reach. Of course, I will probably unfortunately be suckered into the inevitable CE version of the game (which will undoubtedly have no game credits), if not also into the rumored special edition console and other accessories.

When was it that Halo Reach was $50.99? I thought $59.82 is the lowest so far.

Wow $20 promo credit on Halo Reach. They should have had this deal on ODST. ;)

Anyways, just preordered using $25 gc balance. Hopefully preorder price will go down between now and the release date. would be nice if they added release date delivery to it too before my Amazon Prime expires, but doubt it's going to happen.

So...if I preorder Reach right now, I'm guaranteed the $20 credit right? Even if amazon lowers the price of it? They said they could remove this promotion whenever they wanted...

Preordered Reach when it was in my goldbox ($56.83) a while back, so I emailed cs just to make sure I qualified for the $20 credit and they said I do.

Also preordered SMG2 when it was in my goldbox so a promotional credit for that would be very nice. Otherwise that Walmart deal is too good to pass up.
has anyone recieved there $15 credit for Just Cause 2 yet ?
Received and spent it already.

I have never seen amazon remove a promotional gift card on any of the 30 plus games that they have done. Preorder the game now, if it drops in price on Amazon they will give you the lowest price and you do not get charged until it ships. You can also cancel at any time.

Nice, I ordered Halo Reach on 3/12 using the $20 credit from Bad Company 2 that I ordered for $36.99 with my $20 credit from COD: MW2:applause: Next up on the Amazon preorder list: Killzone 3

Oh, and a special thanks to Wal-Mart.com ;)

They won't yank it from you if you buy now.

I just got a reply from Amazon, they will not give me my credit since I bought the game from buy.com, through amazon. I have no idea how that happened since I clicked the add to cart button on the page that said I get the $20 credit. Needless to say amazon has lost a customer, not that they care they are the walmart of online retailers.

If you have/make a pre-order on halo reach, you get the 20 credit. You might need to make some phone calls or e-mails if something messes up after release, but you're still entitled to it.

For nearly every game with these credits they've kept them up to release date but it's always best to put in a pre-order earlier as canceling is just a few clicks and you get any price drops if they lower the base price of the game before it comes out.

Wtf? Bought what game? Nothing has come out recently with a $20 credit so if you mean halo reach, cancel the pre-order and make a new one. Sounds like whining to me.

Only thing that sucks is I am sure there will be a limited/collectors edition of reach that I will probably buy, which wont be included in the 20 GC. :(

Cheapy proably just shit himself when he saw this one. He must do pretty well with all these amazon orders.

yeah as vortex said what exactly is the problem? since its a preorder why don't you just cancel it and reorder it from amazon directly?

I just ordered Halo Reach, but on the checkout page there was no mention of $20 credit (it was there on the pre-oder page). I also ordered Madden 11, and on the top of checkout it said congratulations you will get $20 credit, but on the bottom of the page it said $10 credit.

Amazon has always been very good with the credits, but I rarely pre-order this far out, so I hope that they do not screw up the credits because of the early pre-order.
I'm sure it's been asked before; but can i apply gift certificates to the order after it has been placed? (I get some every now and than from swagbucks)
I have never done it, but there is a spot to do it. On the order page at the bottom it says:

Want to use a gift card?
Enter code here, then click "Apply"

I just preordered reach...they already deducted $59.99 from my account but if the price drops, will they give me back some money? I noticed I never got anything in my confirmation saying they'll send me a $20 code.
why won't they add $20 to mario galaxy 2!
Seriously, I don't know if I wanna wait it out, or just pre-order with Walmart.

This is awesome! I preordered Halo Reach last night cause it was in my Gold Box! I hoped they would add the gift card, now they just need to add Galaxy 2!

I bought BC2 at the beginning of the month when they were offering the $20 credit. I would be careful with amazon, this is the second time they have done this to me.

We don't understand how Amazon did anything to you. If they are offering a promotional credit, it only counts if they are the seller, not someone from their marketplace (like Buy.com). It states the seller in the product description and during checkout. And it states that they must be the seller in the promotion description.

Like others have said about Halo:Reach, if this is really a problem for you: cancel and reorder with Amazon as the seller.

While there have been a few times I haven't gotten the credit automatically, customer service has always handled it. So if you aren't getting the credit, I gotta believe you are doing something wrong.

It was for bad company 2, all I did was follow the link here, look at the page and saw the $20 credit and then I purchased it.

I had the $20 credit from BFBC2 and used it to get SMG2, $29.99. I'll use the $20 credit for Modnation Racer once SMG2 ships. Hopefully by then they'll offer up a $10 card for Modnation to match walmart.

Did anyone get some kind of confirmation about the $20 with Halo at checkout, it did not say anything about it, but my SMG2 order said something at checkout and in my confirmation email
