Here is a list of all the known games on Amazon that come with a gift card or gaming credit. If the Amazon price decreases between your order time and the end of the day of the release date, you'll receive the lowest price. Release date delivery is available on many of these titles, which is free for Amazon Prime members.

The status of these offers fluctuates. Please read the details on the Amazon product page before ordering.

Amazon Credit & GC Deals FAQ by Lucian[hiddenlist]

1. What is Amazon game credit? How is it different than a gift card?
Amazon game credit is a discount off a new order only. This means it cannot be applied to an existing order, unlike a gift card that can be applied at any time. Occasionally, a CAG will report that customer service applied a game credit balance to an existing order, but this is extremely YMMV.

In addition, game credits can only be used on gaming items. This generally includes all games and accessories for consoles, handhelds, and PC shipped and sold by Amazon. Credits usually cannot be used on systems (either console or handheld). As far as digital content is concerned:
- Xbox Live codes sent via email - No
- Xbox Live physical points cards - Yes
- PSN codes sent via email - Yes (confirmed by grantme 7/3/2011)
- PSN physical wallet cards - Yes (someone please confirm via PM)
- PC game downloads - Not sure (someone please advise via PM)

2. What about the expiration date? Does this mean I can't use it on a preorder that releases after the expiration date?
The expiration date is the date by which a qualifying order must be placed. The order does not need to ship by that date; however, if you cancel the order after the the credit expires, it is gone and cannot be recovered.

3. Can I stack game credit?
Yes, you can stack game credit to your heart's content. However, remember that each game credit has an expiration date and must be used prior to the expiration date. Currently, Amazon does not provide information on your credit balance through their website, so either track it yourself or call customer service for assistance.

4. When will I get my game credit or gift card?
The exact timeframe is specified on the product page in the section detailing the game credit, but it is usually 2 business days. The game credit or gift card will be deposited into your account and you should receive an email notification once that occurs. Of course, it is possible for email delivery failure, so you can check your account depending on the type of bonus:
- Gift card - Go to your account and check your gift card balance
- Game credit - See FAQ #9 below 'How can I check my credit balance?'

Please wait the expected time frame before contacting customer service asking for your credit.

5. Can I use game credit and gift cards on the same order?
Yes.

6. I want to order two (2) copies of Newborn Ninja Assassins 2 because of the $15 game credit. Will I get $30 in credit?
No. Game credit offers are limited to 1 per household per title, so you will only receive 1 game credit.

7. What if I order one (1) copy of Newborn Ninja Assassins 2 for PS3 and one (1) copy for Xbox 360? Will I get 2 game game credits now?
No. CAGs have reported only receiving 1 credit per title even though the titles are for different platforms (i.e., have different SKUs).

8. A credit was just added to a game that I already had preordered. Do I need to cancel my order to qualify for the credit?
No. To date, all game credit promotions have had verbiage indicating that This offer will be extended to all existing pre-orders.. To be 'safe', you may want to get a screenshot of the promotion as proof should you need to contact customer service after the game ships.

9. How can I check my credit balance?
Place a preorder for any title to see how much promotional credit is applied. Cancel the order and the promotional credit will be released back to your account as long as it has not yet expired.

Also, Amazon recently added the ability to view your balance on the MP3 download screen. Go to any MP3 download page and look for a blue splat with a $ in it; it's right below the purchase button. Click the link next to the blue splat that says 'Redeem a gift card or promotion code & view balance' and a pop-up will display available credit. Videogame credits will display under the category 'SOFTWARE/VIDEO GAMES', but may contain credit applicable only to software downloads.

Other Amazon-related questions

1. Why does my order say the estimated ship date is a week after release?
Amazon prioritizes shipping for Prime members and those who paid for shipping over those taking advantage of their Free Super Saver Shipping (FSSS) option. Sometimes this means that a preorder will not ship for a few days after release, though I've never had an order take as long as they estimate. I expect their estimates accomplish 2 things:
- It covers their worst case scenario backlog and makes you feel better when it ships earlier than estimated.
- It's a nice marketing ploy to get you to either pay for shipping or sign-up for Amazon Prime.

2. My Amazon Prime or Prime trial is going to expire in a few days. What happens to my existing orders or preorders?
Amazon Prime (whether a full membership or a trial) applies to all orders placed during the Prime membership period. This means that if you preorder an item that ships months after your Prime expires, that order will still be covered under your Prime benefits (i.e., free standard or 2-day shipping and sometimes release-date delivery). If an item becomes eligible for Release Date Delivery (RDD) and you already have it preordered with 2-day shipping, it will automatically be upgraded to RDD even if your Prime has since expired. However, if you need to change the payment method (e.g., if your credit card has expired) on an order after your Prime has expired, your Prime benefits on that order will be lost. In this situation, you can apply a gift card balance without affecting Prime benefits.

The 11th-25th of May is so overcrowded for releases. 3D Dot Game Heroes, Red Dead Redemption, Galaxy 2, Peace Walker, Split / Second, Alan Wake, Prince of Persia, ModNation Racers... Never thought I'd be hoping for a delay, but that's just an absurd amount of high-quality titles in a short time span. I've pre-ordered Red Dead Redemption and Galaxy 2, might have to do some more if my wallet permits.

Does Amazon game preorder arrive on release day? I'm kinda want to pre-order SSF4 from them but I want to play that game on release day.
Is there still a gaming credit being offered on Just Cause 2? I see it on the list here but on Amazon, there is no mention of the $10 credit.
Looks like that boat has sailed, just hasn't been updated here yet.

Dammit, couldn't resist Super Mario Galaxy 2. I know it would be years before I could score a deal like that again, Super Mario Galaxy is just now getting to be $35 USED. Still, my poor bank account..

Ohh and one more thing , Why does the PS3 version cover art of UFC 2010 say Exclusive content but the 360 cover art doesnt ?

I hope the Ps3 version has an advantage :)

From the PS Blog:

Royce Gracie, Dan Severn and Jens Pulver will be playable characters exclusively for the Playstation 3 version of the UFC Undisputed 2010 video game.

Besides the three legends fighters exclusively for the PS3, the console will also have rights to five extra fights for the Ultimate Fights mode. In the Ultimate Fights mode, gamers play to relive memorable UFC fights to unlock a montage of the Utimate Fight. A new feature for the 2010 game is the ability to pull an upset over the winner (For example, play as Maia to beat Marquardt at UFC 102).

The Xbox 360 will have 15 Ultimate Fights, while the PS3 will have a total of 20 with these extra five:

Ultimate 2009 Category
UFN 18 – Carlos Condit vs. Martin Kampmann

Ultimate Knockouts Category
UFC 102 – Nate Marquardt vs. Demian Maia

Ultimate Classics Category
UFC 60 – Matt Hughes vs. Royce Gracie
UFC 66 – Keith Jardine vs. Forrest Griffin

Ultimate Submissions Category
UFC 68 – Martin Kampmann vs. Drew McFredries

I bought Bad Company 2 through Amazon and received a $20 gift card that expires on April 30th. Can I put the credit towards pre ordering Read Dead Redemption that releases on May 18th or do I have to actually spend the gift card before the April 30th deadline.

it just has to be used towards something by the 30th, not actually spent. DON'T change your mind and cancel red dead with that credit on there though

FYI, to anyone still adding games to an old order: If that order has prime 2day shipping on it and your prime runs out, any games from then on will apparently(or atleast might be) added for the regular rate of 2day shipping without prime.

Ahem =/
A few new games to add to the OP:

:ps3: ModNation Racers - $10 gaming credit

:360::ps3: NIER - $10 gaming credit

damn, I wanted to get the Kratos mod but now I'll probably have to pre-order from amazon

Kinda new to amazon so I have a few questions.

1. What's eca?
2. How do I use that quickpicks thing?
3. If I preorder halo reach right now, would I get that $20 gift card anytime soon or will I get it after the release because I was hoping to buy red dead redemption with those $20.

Seeing the new metroid trailer this week... A promo is definitely going to decide whether or not I grab it at release. Don't fail me now, amazon!
UFC Undisputed 2010 by THQ (PLAYSTATION 3) $10

Never heard of NIER. Terrible name though. Of course, I thought the same thing about the Wii and it wasn't hurt by it.

Wow, apparently the game has a hermaphrodite in it. Sold!!

does any1 know if best buy would price match these? gonna get halo reach but wanna use some best buy gift cards

It's hard getting Best Buy to even match...well heck, forget about other stores prices, I have a hard time getting them to match THEIR OWN LISTED PRICE. Would be even worse getting them to match an online store's preorder gift card. I'd say basically impossible, but probably YMMV I guess.

I think we over here get what equates to Nier Gestalt in Japan where the main character is the father not the hermaphrodite which would be the Nier Replicant game.

I could be wrong but that is what the website suggests.
If you select release day shipping, but they have to offer it(which most games will eventually).
I want to order Halo Reach and Mario Galaxy 2, but I'm worried about getting them on release day too. Neither seems to be showing that as an option. Is it something I should wait for them to offer, or am I risking missing out on the awesome preorder bonus credit?

SMG2 won't get release since nintendo releases it on a sunday, so earliest you could get it would be mon.

Halo reach on the other hand will almost definitely get it, but it probably won't show up until a few months before release. if you put an order in now, you can change the shipping if RDD becomes available.

I have a credit on my amazon acct that I got for getting final fantasy 13 but I don't want to use it. Can someone tell me how to save it for later?

Pre order something that doesn't come out for a while then make sure you cancel the pre order and use the credit before it expires.

And let me double an important part that cyphen touched up on.

Your credit has an expiration date. I don't remember when it was, check your e-mail for when you got it. If you mean save it as in just to let it sit in your account for awhile, that's what it'll do until that expiration date. If you wanted to order something and not use the credit yet, then yes make a pre-order to temporarily use it, then cancel after whatever you've done, and it will be back in your cart. However if you put it on a pre-order and the credit expires, if you CANCEL that pre-order the credit is gone for good.

So in this case i have a $10 credit (From Final Fantasy I think) and a $25 gift card I applied to Super Street Fighter IV. If I want to apply that to The DoTD Bad Company 2, I can cancel the SSF:IV order and both credits will show up for use again?

Maybe, maybe not... The BEST thing to do is email amazon customer service and have them add the game you want to that order. Once that game is listed in that order you should able to remove the unwanted game on your own.

Hmm... Looks like I'll have some calls to do when I get home from work.

Called customer service and unfortunately since I applied the $10 from a promotion from Final Fantasy if the order was cancelled I'd lose the $10 while the $25 could go back the to account. And my other $25 gift card didn't come today. I may just eat the cost on Bad Company 2, as it's still a good deal. I'll use my other gift card on 3D Dot Game heroes or Blazblue Continuum shift. Gotta love these $39.99 games they are putting out.
