Amazon DotD (11/16) - Xbox 360 Wireless Halo 3 Spartan Controller $34.99

I'm tempted, but with the Blu Ray sale this week, and Rock Band and Mass Effect next week, I'm not exactly rolling in cash.
 
Ugh... I ordered one but set it to order with a preorder for something else in case I change my mind.

God damn it's such a good deal I couldn't pass it up.

I bought the two Halo controllers when someone posted the $43.99 deal from DDD (naturally, they took almost a month to arrive), and I'm buying two more at this price. Reason? I know people have issues with the artwork on the controller (it's a love it/hate it thing), but I really like the smooth texture on the top of the controller. I wish it was the same texture all the way around. It has enhanced my gaming experience. I'm serious. Smooth is good.
 
I was going to go to Kmart this weekend and buy one for my son with the 20% coupon but jumped all over this Amazon deal when I saw it posted this morning. Thanks so much! However, I just checked again and the price is showing up as $55. Looks like its dead.
 
They'd have to give it to me for under $20 before I got this hideous thing.

What's going on with Microsoft lately? This, the puke green and copper 360 (presumably made from recycled Spartans? wtf?), and matching hideous wireless headset.

Simple is better, and the face of a controller doesn't have much room to begin with. They would have sold twice as many if it was just the Halo 3 logo, or maybe a section of a halo ringworld over open space...

I'm not even a professional (or amateur) designer, and I'm able to come up with better ideas than they are for free, and in like 10 seconds. They should be ashamed of themselves.

It's a great price for an official wireless controller, no tax, free shipping. I like the art too. and a free minature to boot.
 
meh, i saw these at bestbuy for 29.99, a managers special (YMMV) and didnt bite either... i dont really *need* another controller. Now I am wondering if i should have grabbed them and sold on ebay or something, although the profit margin should be low when you factor in ebay fees/paypal fees and shipping, maybe 8$ a controller =/

anyways, this is a good deal if there was no best buy managers special near me :)

Well, this is today's Amazon DOTD, and some people stay up until 3 AM Easter/12 AM Pacific in order to post these at exactly the time they are updated, so it will be hard to post such a deal before them...
 
thanks! I've been snatching up Xbox accessories as I see deals on them.

This is the 2nd controller I've bought from amazon's daily deal (I got the wireless controller with the play and charge kit last month for 49.99 shipped)

I also bought the quick charge kit and an extra battery pack with this order.

so for $110 total I have 2 controllers, play and charge cable, quick charge stand and 3 battery packs. not a bad deal considering the controllers would of been more than that by themselves. thanks CAG!
