I enjoyed the demo, so I ordered it from Gogamer the other day.

It's not your typical RTS. It has no base building, you just get resources for controlling certain areas of the maps and then you order in reinforcements with those command points. Since the reinforcements take a little bit of time to arrive you have to plan ahead.

You also have one specific role on your team. For example you might decide to be air support, but helicopters can't capture anything (as far as I know, there was only one level in the demo), so you'll need to support the players who are the ground troops and tanks to ensure that you'll get resources to order in more reinforcements.

its actually a very good game... can be crazy hard on some missions. If you have the right hardware, this game looks amazing. But if you can't afford a high end rig, you *can* play it on a P4-3ghz+(single core) and a 6800gt with the graphics toned down. They already have a map maker. Multiplayer can be fun if everyone is working together instead of sniping CP for more points :(

The collectors edition is meh and not worth it's full price. You can do without the CE which can still be found in many places.

This is an excellent game. The multiplayer is fantastic, the best I've ever played in a RTS.

Man, really tempted with this one since I passed up the Gogamer sale. Been wanting to get Xbox Live Arcade Unplugged anyway, so the free shipping is really making it tempting.

Dang it, I'm still broke from building a new computer. And now here I am tempted to buy a new game + a book for "filler". Hmmm. I passed up the GoGamer sale because I didn't feel like signing up for a new website, but I might bite on this.
will it run in a 2.4g machine with 1 gig of ram and a 6600gt card?
Yes, it will run fine. It has 5 different settings, so you should be able to get 30-60FPS. If you run on medium settings you might get a slide-show for a bit when somebody drops a Nuke, but that's about it.

Thanks for the link. I'm surprised that I have never come across that site before.
