Amazon DotD: Heavenly Sword for PS3 $39.99

its gonna suck (gs trade in value), its at most trade-in value at GS is $20, and that was the last I knew from a month or two ago, it might be less now

i would possibly bite if it was $30 (the only reason im hesitant even there is i still have so many other games to play through and beat and ive already rented and beaten HS)

for anyone who beats this game in one sitting, im sorry but you really have no life, if you really played through the entire game the first time you played it in one sitting just wow, take your time with things

because of my life and the way i like to play games it took me 3 days (probably around 7 hours, give or take) which was nice, and its fun to go back and play IMO (i also like these kinds of movies)..and even that was kind of running through trying to beat the game somewhat quickly

who in the living F has time to sit down and play a game for 6+ hours, and who also wants to just run through a game as fast as they possibly can?

anyways its a really good game, yes slightly short, but done well...its like a much more prettier GoW with a lot less puzzles and a lot more combat (i think i actually liked the fighting in HS better due to the different stances, idk enemies got old and annoying, at least in the original GoW, havent played GoW2 yet)

id say at $40 if you like this kind of game and setting, and you havent played it, its a solid buy

if it was $30 and you hadn't played this game id say your a fool not to pick it up
No, but I'd guess $20. However, its still $55 used so who knows. Call GS and ask them maybe?
better yet, call a GS and ask them if they have any Wiis in stock. Call them back in 10 minutes and ask again, they love it.

If enough do it eventually we will have our revenge for their crappy no case no book used games at outrageous prices ;)

I paid $25 total on Ebay over a month ago for this game after playing it, I can easily say I wouldn't have regretted paying $40 or even more for this game. It took me about 7hrs to beat, but I love going back through some of the missions and replaying them because they are really fun. You unlock videos and art as you play as well, and they really show just how much effort was put into this game which really allowed me to appreciate it more. If you're on the fence with this game, just buy it. I loved it a lot more than God of War and its a small masterpiece in its own right.

They really need to start the PS3 greatest hit budget titles.
Starting with Resistance,Motorstorm and heavenly sword.
29.99 is the magic price point for these games.

resistance was worth full price, especially at launch (when i got it), it had a long campaign with replayability, great online play and support, and got regular online patches and updates

RFOM campaign might be long, but after the first 3 hours it gets old quick. Reminds me of the bad stages in Halo 2 and Halo 3. Just seems like making a FPS with a great final 3 hours is almost impossible these days.

Any FPS is going to be more of the same as you go through, I totally disagree with what you said though. The game world around you changes as you go through it, and you get cool new weapons as you progress. The levels are also designed fairly well with no backtracking that I can remember. I guess if maybe you don't dig the story it won't do much for you, but otherwise it's single player was one of the best FPS single player modes in the past few years IMO in FPS games.

Resistance got pretty old really early on, it's just a very generic shooter with a few cool weapons. Neat concept though (WWII shooter w/ aliens), but it coulda been a lot better. Online play is entertaining if simplistic. But then again, I just now got around to playing it, and it just can't compete with the stuff that has come out in the last year (BioShock, Halo 3, Call of Duty 4, Rainbow Six: Vegas, etc; ). Had I played it before that, it may have been a little more entertaining.

I think I gave up on Resistance before the cool weapons showed up. I must have played it for 3-4 hours and was pretty bored with it. I still own it, maybe I’ll go back and finish it one day.

yes there is no backtracking, but it gets very generic once you go on the 1 man mission and start seeing the inside of the factories etc...

Not to mention the squadmates, if you can even call them that, showcase their pointlessness in the first hour of the game.

I like the game ok, but lets not get too excited about the single player, RFOM is rated highly almost always because of the multi.
I played the demo for this and nearly fell asleep.
You must have been tired to begin with, the demo wasn't nearly long enough to induce sleep. I rented it, and had some fun with it, but it definitely isn't worth $40 to me (most games aren't).

It was later in the evening. Every time we play 4 player Marvel Ultimate Alliance I end up falling asleep. The hack and slash games just bore me to tears.

Was worth my rental, but hell... it was way overhyped and still can't compare with the GOTY nominees. Waiting for the sequel... or this to drop down to 20.
