Not necessarily, don't forget that this comes with season 2. At least 1/4 of S3 was solid, too bad that 1/4 was mixed throughout the entire season though. Fingers crossed that #4 matches the first season.

oh man i want this but dont think i can afford the 60$ for something im pretty sure im not gonna watch for a loooong time.

The main writing staff from the first season ended up leaving the show to do other projects. Unfortunately, the writers they got for the following seasons weren't good. They did, however, bring back Bryan Fuller one of the main writers from season one as a creative consultant at the end of the last season so there is a small bit of hope that next season might be good.

Bryan Fuller only got his job back because ABC canceled Pushing Daisies and Heroes was in need of some creative writing again. I'm glad he's back but also upset that the dumb network didn't see the creativity in Pushing Daisies. Thankfully there's a movie coming up to really end the series.

The way I read it, the show had a completely different story line for Season 2, but since the strike happened, they had to change the story line completely and it turned out to be a real BS. Season 3 was meant to "fix" the story line from season 2, but that still turnef out like crap. Season 4 was better than 2 & 3, but no where near as good as the first season.

Basically what I'm saying is because of the writer's strike, the story line changed for the worse. I don't know what the original plans were for season 2 if the strike never happened, but I am almost certain it would've been better because season 2 and 3 sucked big time.

Even though the show is not as good as before, I just can't stop watching it every monday night... it's one of my guilty pleasures :)

Ooops, my bad. You're right, season 4 hasn't aired yet. I meant volumes. I was referring to the volumes "Villains" and "Fugitives."
so season 2 is vol 2 & 3 right ??
No, season 2 is volume 2 only. Season 3 is volume 3 and 4.

sigh been wondering if i should get this. i think 60$ for both seasons is a tad expensive... is my thinking skewed?

This is about as cheap as I've seen it since it's come out and I've been eyeing both seasons since they came out so naturally I jumped on it.
