Amazon DOTD - Prey [dead] - X360 Universal Media Remote $11.99

Amazon must really prioritize the Prime members. Added a DVD to my order for Prey. Placed a third order for a manga volume less than 10 minutes later, but my DVD/Prey order had already started processing. Tried to cancel the manga order, and it had already started processing. After less than two minutes.

Man, Amazon works fast on a Monday morning.

Why don't you guys just turn on 1-click for your orders, you can still add to the cart the normal way too

this way for DOTD's etc like this, you click once and your set

It's not just because it's "cheap". This game is an absolute STEAL at $11.99. I wouldn't pay full price for it but it looks great and provides a massively fun, exciting ride for its duration. It's a no-brainer that it's worth a purchase at this price point....in fact I'd say the single player mode was one of the better gaming experiences of all last year on the 360. It's not worth full price because of its length, but $12? Are you kidding? I'd be all over that.

Of course it's out of stock so I guess others felt the same. :)

Got it for $40 at playasia when it came out and it was worth every penny. MP is remenicent of Unreal Tournament speed/weaponwise

I was 100% decided on this game, I just couldn't order until I got home. This fucking sucks. Thanks Amazon... when have they ever changed the deal of the DAY mid-day? I can understand it going out of stock, but at least maybe it'd come back if it was left as the deal of the day.

I'm so fucking pissed.
 
Ouch @ the price being $29.99. Wasn't it $19.99 a few days before today's DOTD? Possibly a mistake and not meant to be a DOTD?

actually, they have sold out and changed the dotd midday before. I can't remember which item though...i think it was the xbox wireless controller.
 
Well $12 for the Universal remote is pretty cool too. I have this, and if you use your 360 as a DVD player like I do.. then you should pick it up!
 
Looks like a pretty good remote, can't go wrong for 11.99 I suppose. Now if only you can find a filler to get over 25 for free shipping.

I can't believe Prey is gone!!

Personally, I hate that one. I still use the day one pack-in one. It's shorter and just feels better IMO. And besides, as previously stated, it comes with the HD-DVD drive, so if you are every going to buy that (and with 8 free movies, why the hell wouldn't you?), so there is really no reason to buy it seperately.

It may or may not come back before the next DOTD.

Still, I'm glad I got in while it was initially in-stock. If I hadn't have remembered Fire Pro Wrestling's pre-order, I would've passed on it for lack of filler for free shipping.
 
I missed it 'cause I was trying to figure out my shipping address for work. Really stinks since it was the best DotD in ages...best I can remember.

The Windows version is $15 though (unless it's sold out too).


I guess that remote's an okay deal, although I'd be more inclined to buy a remote for the Playstation 3.
