Amazon DotD - SingStar POP Bundle (with Microphone) $29.99

Anyone know if this mic is the same mic as the Karaoke Revolution one? If not very similar?

I am trying to use this mic on the Wii game, Boogie. =D

Unfortunately, it's not quite the same and because of the differences the microphones for each game will not work with each other. The Karaoke Revolution mic will not work with SingStar and vice versa.

I don't know much about Boogie so I don't know what works with that or not.

EDIT: Oh btw, I enjoyed the Singstar "rocks" version of this. I would buy this if I didn't already have that.

I wonder if my sister wants this. She's a fan of Karaoke Revolution.[/quote]

same...seems like a decent deal though

Singstar is both better and worse than Karoke rev. It's got the bonus of original tracks and music videos in the background (rather than those stupid ugly ass characters). However the tone tracking system in Karaoke rev is much better placed so that you can see and adjust and it's easier to follow the lyrics. Either way, both are great for parties, though mainstream people will definetly prefer singstar.

I totally agree, although I can't comment on the accuracy of SingStar, as I've only played UltraStar (PC emu). But as far as the interface, I definitely prefer KR for the reason you mentioned.

As far as I know, any USB mics (other than SingStar mics) will work with KR. I got two Logitech mics (made for PS2) on ebay for $15 total. SingStar ONLY accepts the SingStar mics.
