Amazon HD/Blu-Ray BOGO... who can i complain to?

CAGiversary!
Hey all here is my story...

i order buy one get one free hd dvds and blu rays from amazon in 3 shipments - 2 hd dvds in 2 seperate boxes and 4 blu ray's in another box

So friday the 2 boxes of 2 get here, scanned as delivered on my amazon tracking order, only one box is in my mailbox though, because only one would fit... I have a small mailbox thing at my condo complex, it's at the front of the street entrance.... no card from USPS that my other box is at the post office or anything..... weird I decide, but ill wait and see

Today i check online while at work and see that my box of 4 is scanned delivered... i get home....... and its outside in front of my condos front door!

I'm going to go to the post office tomorrow expecting the worst, that they scanned it as delivered and that is that.... Do I then have any reason to contact Amazon?.... has anything remotely close to this happened to you?

I'm just pretty upset with the whole thing, sucks.

Thanks.

What's the issue? That they left it in front of your door? USPS does that all the time if there's not enough space in your mailbox for large packages.

UPS does this too, unless you request that a signature be required upon delivery. I think Fedex is the only carrier that requires this by default.

But there's a reason USPS cost less to ship than other carriers.

He's saying that one of his boxes of two discs is missing. I would call Amazon - they have great customer service. They might send you replacements, and you can let them take it up with the post office.

Yeah sorry if I didn't explain it... one of the first 2 boxes is M.I.A...

I didn't see it outside my door Friday, but I wasn't really looking for it to be there either. I'm fairly new to this complex.

I'll go to the post office first tomorrow and if that turns up nothing I guess I'll call Amazon... thanks guys!

I'd call USPS. UPS left a 360 on my porch one day when I didn't get home until 7pm after shipment was delayed for a week so I feel your pain on that one.

But with all due respect this is the deals forum, you should switch your thread to the appropriate forum.

Oh shit! .... second time I have done that, I'm sorry... if a mod can move it thanks... sorry

Not a big deal really, and no need to apologize. I wasn't trying to be a dick, as you have a legitimate post that isn't spam. I just thought I'd let you know though.

Funny post script... I decided to walk along my condo, among the snow... I see an amazon box in my neighbor's backyard!.... sure enough, it's mine....

now.... the dvds are sealed in plastic, so they aren't ruined by rain, but it's been really cold here in Connecticut and they've been outside since Friday... can the discs be ruined? Thanks (again).

Most likely not, but be sure to get everything back to room temperature before opening the cases and whatnot. Microwave for 1:45 for quicker thawing :)
