My order of 1 is still sitting there.

I'm debating what time to go to Target to try to PM the set I bought in-store. Has anyone done it yet?

Yup, in and out in 60 seconds on my second try. First attempt, they were claiming that they don't price match Black Friday discounts and that they had to put the item back in the system if I wanted to return/re-buy. I didn't have time to argue so I went to another Target by my job and got it taken care of, no questions asked. The guy literally did a double take and said "I'm in disbelief!" Total out of pocket for the entire trilogy: $8.55.

Moral of the story: don't give up if they try to weasel out of the policy.

Took me 30 sec. Just said i would like a price adj. She looked at the ad...scanned the package and verified it rang up @ 7.99 and did the adk. The key here is that it rang up at 7.99 indicating the advertised price wasnt a mistake in the ad. She went holy crap and i was on my way

Cyber Monday - Home Alone Collection on blu ray

any guess how much you guys think this will be?? i am grown but never for some good ol classic home alone lol

No luck finding LotR trilogy at two Targets this morning. Also didn't see it at the one Walmart I went to. Anyone have any other suggestions on where to possibly price match this? I know Best Buy's website says they do not price match today or tomorrow but does that always seem to be the case for tomorrow? Might end up trying there anyway, worst they can do is tell me no.

they had two different versions of it at my store. same price after i checked. i tried to convince people to take it so i wouldn't have to go and put it back, but no one would bite. i guess i should have bought it to sell to someone here :(

Went to two Targets, one of them had a green tag saying LotR trilogy $7.99, like $70ish savings. Found none at either store. Not actually upset because I have the extended DVDs and will get the extended blurays when they come out. Just hope the extended could be had for under $30 (I paid like $90 total for the DVD extended, pre-ordered all three... not buying them day one this time).

Now that I have this blu-ray, I plan on selling the extended DVDs that I have while they still have value. I'll pick up the Extended blus whenever they come out.

Man, just had to do some wheeling and dealing with orders. I originally was planning on picking up Always Sunny because I don't have them on DVD (or BRD) and saw Amazon's BF list last week. Got all four seasons in the deal, then added the blu-ray of season 5 and the BRD of the Christmas special too. Ended up being around $83+tax. Then I noticed in the recommended items section of the Amazon homepage, they have an Always Sunny box set of seasons 1-5 + the Christmas special for $56.99+tax. I'd gladly save the $25-$30 and get them all on DVD, especially since the show is shot in SD anyways.
Looks like Amazon isn't price matching Burn Notice Season 2 or 3.. Gonna have to take my arse down to target.. :(
That's what I'm about to do :whistle2:/

Good shopping day today. I worked from 4am to 12pm. Wifey got to adjust the LoTr Trilogy at Target, bought a couple of blu rays & got to price match at Walmart, and got the last copy of NBA Jam at Kmart & the $20 gaming coupon printed. Time to take along nap. Thanks CAG for all the deals info.

For what it's worth, one Target I went to didn't have anything out for Psych or Burn Notice from what I could tell - even looking through the cardboard displays. They just had one copy of Season 2 of Burn Notice in a plastic case. The second Target I went to was overflowing with Psych and Burn Notice in the cardboard displays. Either I really missed something at the first Target, or the first Target was truly sold out. Good luck.

Just got back from the PM for the LOTR set; was fairly painless although it took 2 CSRs and finally a manager to determine they they had to allow the adjustment. First clerk said it was obviously the wrong item since it said regularly 12.99-24.99 and I agreed but explained the price was being honored. She gave me a funny look (they must hear the "No, really, it's 90% off!!" line all day) and when the computer actually did it without an override she about had a heart attack. (I showed them the printout from Target.com but got the "we're 2 different companies" line, but I think in the end it convinced her to at least try since it had the regular 74.99 price on it)

The manager had no clue what was going on but she finally said "if it's coming up that price, we have to honor it". She acted like it was coming out of her personal bank account, though, she was VERY resigned. (not nasty at all, but just strangely depressed)

It was probably nothing personal. FWIW managers have a hard black Friday. They're usually at the stores for at least 12 hours and they have to take the brunt of snobby, ungrateful customers all day.

I'm not saying everyone is snobby and ungrateful or means to be but when stores open at midnight and you have people shopping all day it just becomes a product of the environment. I personally hate black Friday, although it can be an experience, thank God that Amazon has stepped it up big time. They've completely outdone themselves this year.

Question: It says the Mad Men $9.99 sales will end 11/27. Does that mean the sale will disappear once it hits midnight tonight (which 5 hours for me), or will it continue throughout the day tomorrow?

Just got back from Target picked up the last copy of Burn Notice Season 2. While i was there i also snagged season 3. Got home at 4:45 went on amazon and was surprised Spartacus was still available and snagged that as well. :D

To the poster who inspired me to go to Walmart, THANK YOU. Second Walmart I went to had TONS of 5.00 blus left. I wound up picking up 25 5.00 Blus and 2 10.00 Blus. Got Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs and Michael Jackson's This Is It. As far as for the 5.00 titles, I got what I wanted-- Slumdog Millionaire, Heat, and Silence of the Lambs. I know half of the titles I got is stuff I want. I gotta Rotten Tomatoes about ten of them to see if they're good movies.

Dazed and Confused (Criterion Collection) was supposed to be a Lightning Deal, but its already at $9.99 (the price for the Lightning Deal). Just picked it up.

I had them scan Silence of the Lambs and it was $8. Of course, I didn't take it from the $5 rack, but from the regular Bluray rack.

If I have to run out tomorrow and make it to Target, I'll check, though I won't make a special trip for it.

Amazon did match S1 of Burn Notice, so I ordered it from them. If they match it in the meantime, I'll order it from Amazon and cancel my order from Target.com.

Looks like they won't match S4 of Psych, since it's now showing as "out of stock".

Good luck. I went to 2 different targets. The first Target I went to didn't have any s2 left in stock it was in a very good/heavy populated neighborhood and everything was pretty much gone. Second target I went to was in a ghetto neighborhood and everything was still in stock except for the doorbusters and LOTR.

Are you sure that was the price it was going to be for the lightning deal? Do you possibly have a link to confirmation?

I want to pick it up but I don't want to see it at $7.99 or something on Sunday :bomb:

Well it will be cheaper, that is not the Lightning Deal price
Has anyone got a Target shipping confirmation on their LOTR?
Nope...not through email nor credit statement. On Target's site it says the expected delivery date is Dec. 1 - Dec. 3, but at this point I'm not holding my breath of it even going through (granted, I put my order in about an hour and a half after it went live).

Amazon has had 2 full days to price match Target on Psych and Burn Notice (the Lightning Deal on Burn Notice Season 1 excluded) and they didn't. I doubt it'll happen over the rest of the weekend. How was your shipping less than $5? They wanted like $6.xx from me for the same items and the same standard shipping. Because I have like a handful of Targets within like a 15 mile radius I decided it was worth it to drive a little.

Ha. That was pretty much my experience. I felt like I was crazy for finding tons of Psych and Burn Notice in the 2nd target in the less affluent neighborhood but finding practically nothing at the first Target which is in a middle class neighborhood (and across from a mall).

Any word on those lord of the rings trilogy sets that were on sale for a bit on Target's website Thursday morning early? I ordered one for myself, I've heard big orders are being cancelled though. I don't have a Target near me, so I'm hoping they'll honor it.

I doubt Amazon will match, though they're all in my cart and I've been sending them the "found an item cheaper elsewhere" notes from the product pages on a daily basis. If they drop, I'll know when I check my cart.

I ended up grabbing Psych S4 at Target. Mine still had a lot of copies of that and S2 of Burn Notice.

My Walmart was picked clean. Although I did find a copy of The Unborn for $5.

I just bought Nurse Jackie S1, Kick-Ass, and Hostel 2 on Amazon. Great deals on those.

You're not from LA are you? The first target i went to was also across a mall.. haha.

Picked up Friday the 13th:The Series Season 2 today at big lots(Around closing time), they still had crap left like Beverly Hills 90210, Joan of Arcadia Season 1, ect...nothing spectacular. I Do recomend walking around Wal-Mart because people panick and grab too much then load the excess onto shelves around the store. Also, the return carts at the different departments come in handy as well. I did NOT manage to find True Blood for 12 dollars though, I seen a chick last night at midnight have like 7 copies. How bitchy is that. Damn horders.

I actually think this is quite a good sign. It looks as if these will ship sooner or later.

^Agreed. It's nice of them to fulfill most, if not all of the orders rather than saying "we've met our quota for this deal, so fuck the rest of you."

I got the same email from Target. Glad I made alterations for the people that 3 of my original order were going to be gifts for. I'm down to 1, so it's worth the wait for me. lol

I got the same email. It's a bummer for people who wanted to get extras as gifts, but not hoarders. Maybe lots of people will cancel their orders and it will ship faster. Who knows.

Yea, I know. I bought 4 total originally with 3 being gifts. I called this morning and dropped it from 4 to 1 and did gift alterations since this morning for 2 of the other people (still working on 3rd). Ah well, I'll have paid $11 for the set come Jan, so I'm happy.
Same here. I ordered 2 copies and it didn't reduced to 1 like you guys. Haha!
No, I called them and reduced it to just 1 for my order. Like I said, 3 were xmas presents, and if they weren't going to come, then why bother ordering them, so I dropped them.

Target will let at least some of us know:
 • We thought you should know that there's a delay with the item(s) listed below. You'll need to approve this delay so that we can continue processing this part of your order. We apologize for any inconvenience.
However, they provide no way to "approve this delay." I tried using Firefox and IE browsers, and I searched for the mystic "order update" but to no avail. I emailed Target and will provide their response.

If anyone already figured out how to approve the delay, I would appreciate it.

Are you trying to be funny? Since when has Amazon had a pricing error making this set $7.99?
http://www.amazon.com/Lord-Rings-Pi...FLKM/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1290865799&sr=8-8

I didn't get any of these sets online since I didn't realize they were going to start selling them at that price at 3:30 AM THANKSGIVING MORNING but I did get TWO sets in the store and I physically have them RIGHT NOW. I bought them for 7.99 each but I did get up at 3:30 AM yesterday to do it...

No, he is talking about the Blu-Ray Trilogy that was about $11 shipped. Why is he creating a new thread about it in the DVD DEALS forum instead of discussing it in the original thread? Who the fuck knows?

Do you have an account with target? If not there's two options, one try logging in with your amazon account or if that dosent work just call them and let them know the situation.
