F.A.Q.S.:

1. Does the game I'm buying from Amazon Activate on Steam/Origin/Uplay? What DRM does the game use?

There are two places to identify DRM on a digital video game detail page:

At the top of the page, below the title:

In the "Product Description" section:

2. Note on Electronic Arts Games - For the most part, EA games sold on Amazon do not activate on Steam. Most activate on Origin.

3. Note on DRM with limited activations:

Our Policy

4. Sometimes I'll do giveaways.

5. I work with developers and publishers to get fun (or at least what I think is fun) content to share with you all. Here are some examples:

a. Check out the Pax Gameplay videos here: Xcom: Enemy Unknown I played Xcom with Jake, the Creative Director for the game, a few months before the game came out Also, on this page, check out the Q&A, also a community driven event.

b. Check out the interview on this page: Borderlands 2 we did this interview at E3 with Randy Pitchford this year.

c. We've partnered with the ++GoodGames Podcast to feature many of the games we carry. They talk to the developers about the game development process, how the games are conceptualized and managed, all kinds of fun stuff. I'm working on putting together full link list and will update when I have it.

What else do we sell?

Xbox Live Points and Subscriptions:

1600 Microsoft Live Points
4000 Microsoft Live Points
12 Month XBOX Live Subscription
3 Month XBOX Live Subscription]
12 Month + 1 XBOX Live Subscription

PSN+ Subscriptions and PSN Points:

$20 PSN Points
$50 PSN Points
12 Month PSN+ Subscription
3 Month PSN+ Subscription

We also have a Free-2-Play store supported by our GameConnect technology. Gameconnect allows you to link your Amazon.com account with free-2-play and MMO accounts so that you can buy things like in game currency, premium game time/subscriptions, in game items, etc. on Amazon.com using your Amazon.com payment options and have this content delivered directly into your game.

To check out the Free-2-Play games we offer you can visit our storefront here:
I activated a GTA bundle after VC was removed. My inventory has VC.

You asked them to refund the game you bought for the trade. They did. When they did so, that game was no longer paid for, so it was removed from Steam from whoever had it. They aren't going to let someone get a refund and keep the game.

Take your beef up with guy who traded a game that wasn't as described. Or make sure to report him to steam as a bad trader.

As to VC, from what I've heard complete packs still include it. The lack of a store page just means it isn't listed in the inventory description.
Thanks for VC hint guys, still didn't add to library yet. Games are really huge and untill Steam update to the next version that has an option to install individual games into different directories on different HDDs, I am out of space lol

As for the refund; well, they could at least let me know they will remove it from the other guy's library. and by the way they could just leave it there and revoke Painkiller Standard. That way nobody would have to lose anything but Steam removed to games and only refunded one as I said before

1h 30m till the deal :D
Lol I love that your primary selling point is that you also hate the state of Florida.

Cheers,
Tony
Well that isn't a no :D

Tony, you might have already mentioned this but when is the $5 code promo thingy (like last year) scheduled to start up this year?

Still deciding. It'll be in November, just figuring out when we want to fire it up.

Cheers,
Tony

This way should let you do just that.

I got a $5 code last year, but could someone refresh me and the group what the terms were? Was it $5 per game or was it based on a dollar amount? I don't remember really. I just know some folks had a lot of $5 codes saved up to use on lots of individual stuff.
I said that, I got the info from the official Steam forums. Lots of complaints there, and no fixes because the studio went under. It works for some people but it sounds like a gamble that I'm personally not willing to risk.

Sorry if I'm being a party pooper, I just thought I would give a heads up that I saw this.

I was all set to get this deal... and then I started to read about all the issues with Prototype 2 (and to some extent, prototype 1)....

It *is* a huge crap shoot if the game will work for you or not.:puke:

Not so sure I want this deal anymore, I mean, it would be like paying for a broken game, and there is nobody left to fix the game.

This is aawesome, thanks man!

I never actually searched for that before because I always hear bad things about Steam's TOS lol, but this method seems legit enough
Now the stuffed 2.0TB HDD should be relieved and the new 3.0TB one would be called for the hard duty :D

20min to go :applause:

$5 codes were given for "any" game (or even DLC) that was sold during November 2011 and they were good for purchases in January 2012. So basically someone could grap few Magicka DLCs for less than $1 and get $5 for each. In January there were some awesome deals for $5, $7.50 and $10 and those codes made the games "Free", $2.50 and $5 :D

The beta update already allows you to do this.you just have to opt in.

Tony, I'm already broke and you just keep it coming!

The $5 promo last year was actually what got me into PC Gaming (or buying mainly, my PC isn't up to standard for most of the games I buy).

Since then I racked up 100+ games and a lot of them from Amazon.

Can someone explain to me what Raptr is? I've noticed them around Amazon DVG and they have a pretty vague product description.

Also, when will the KOA:Reckoning deal come back around?

It's a tool that tracks your gameplay time and trophies on various plataforms like Steam, PSN and XBox Live, you can choose to use the tool or register on their page an keep track of your gaming activity

The only reason i registered for it was because they were giving away 75% off Steam vouchers for SS3 before the summer sale, i remember the code stacked with the sale price at some point (i believe it was 50% off) and some people got the game for like $3 but then they locked the code so it will only work with the game at full price, silly me of course i was waiting for the game to be 75% off to get it at a better price but got screwed, those damn ninjas!.
Prototype 2 requires Steam, regardless. The Prototype 1 in the mixed DRM bundle is not Steam required.
So if I got the Mixed DRM, I wouldn't get a Steam code with Prototype 1?

& the KOA:Reckoning deal should be back sometime this month on a 24hr deal, I'm guessing Black Friday. or somethin'

Tony, have to ask. I don't have enough funds on my card. If I try to buy the Prototype bundle (Steam), will it reserve my copy until I transfer funds tomorrow?
So if I got the Mixed DRM, I wouldn't get a Steam code with Prototype 1?
yeah... that's why he says click the steam DRM verison not the mixed one. Not long now 5 mins 30 second!
Tony, have to ask. I don't have enough funds on my card. If I try to buy the Prototype bundle (Steam), will it reserve my copy until I transfer funds tomorrow?
No it will not reserve the order since this is a Digital Download, not a physical copy that Amazon would have to manually process.

Yeah, after reading the steam forums, I was leaning towards skipping it, but at 7.49, figured when I get to it, maybe someone will figure out how to at least make it work. It sounds like high end gfx/cpus don't work well with it.

It sounds like Sasha (sp?) the girl actually plays games.

Hey guys. Been a (unregistered) CAG for a long time. I'm new to the forums. Just picked up the Prototype bundle. Doesn't get much better than 92% off!
Vessel worth the price?
I'd say no considering its been in a humble bundle before and the version that gamespot is selling is DRM free
Never really had any interest in these games, but at the price, I couldn't resist :)
Same here.
