Hi CAGs,

I'll be posting deals we're running on Digital Games (PC/Mac, Free to Play, Sony/Microsoft Points/Subs).

I'm also here to answer questions you might have, get you closer to the developers by hosting Q&As, setting up podcasts, live streaming gameplay etc. If I don't respond to a question you have in thread please send me a PM. These ping my email address and make it more likely that I will see your question and respond more quickly.

F.A.Q.S.:

1. Does the game I'm buying from Amazon Activate on Steam/Origin/Uplay? What DRM does the game use?

There are two places to identify DRM on a digital video game detail page:

At the top of the page, below the title:

16hm7a8.png

In the "Product Description" section:

r06ykl.jpg

2. Note on Electronic Arts Games - For the most part, EA games sold on Amazon do not activate on Steam. Most activate on Origin.

3. Note on DRM with limited activations:

Our Policy

4. Sometimes I'll do giveaways.

5. I work with developers and publishers to get fun (or at least what I think is fun) content to share with you all. Here are some examples:

a. Check out the Pax Gameplay videos here: Xcom: Enemy Unknown I played Xcom with Jake, the Creative Director for the game, a few months before the game came out Also, on this page, check out the Q&A, also a community driven event.

b. Check out the interview on this page: Borderlands 2 we did this interview at E3 with Randy Pitchford this year.

c. We've partnered with the ++GoodGames Podcast to feature many of the games we carry. They talk to the developers about the game development process, how the games are conceptualized and managed, all kinds of fun stuff. I'm working on putting together full link list and will update when I have it.

What else do we sell?

Xbox Live Points and Subscriptions:

1600 Microsoft Live Points
4000 Microsoft Live Points
12 Month XBOX Live Subscription
3 Month XBOX Live Subscription]
12 Month + 1 XBOX Live Subscription

PSN+ Subscriptions and PSN Points:

$20 PSN Points
$50 PSN Points
12 Month PSN+ Subscription
3 Month PSN+ Subscription

We also have a Free-2-Play store supported by our GameConnect technology. Gameconnect allows you to link your Amazon.com account with free-2-play and MMO accounts so that you can buy things like in game currency, premium game time/subscriptions, in game items, etc. on Amazon.com using your Amazon.com payment options and have this content delivered directly into your game.
I know this is blasphemous on these forums, but $60 is a great deal for that game.
I sentence you to 3 Hail Marys and an Our Father.
Isn't it 50 percent off at Gamefly right now?
^ It was but not anymore, I picked it up for $19 on Tuesday from Gamefly cause they were letting you use a 20% off code with it.
Tony,

Are there any chances for Tomb Raider bundle, and or carrying the extra tomb raider games that just got released on steam? I know you have done Square deals before so just wondering. Might be in best interest too for Square, since their new Tomb Raider game is coming out in March, so nice hype and exposure for the series!

Thanks!
Just bumping for Tony, third time asking :p.

Whoops!

1. Yes we'll have sales on the Tomb Raider games
2. Not sure on the extra titles yet, we're still working on getting everything from Square.

Cheers,
Tony
FYI 50% off The Secret World starts tomorrow through Sunday.

Does that mean it's dropping to $25 (50% off $50, e.g. $5 less than it's priced at now), or is it dropping to $15 (since $30 seems like it might be the new retail price at many locations)?

I believe it's listed at $29.99 right now, so I would assume half off that.

I'm still holding out for a $7.50 or less.

I'm waiting for something similar to that GreenMan's $5.25 deal recently for TSW.

I'll probably snap up Secret World at $15. Feel like I fool I didn't grab it for $5, but I didn't know they were dropping the subscription then. Still, $15 shouldn't be shabby.

Tony,

Is there a link up for the Serious Sam pack or, rather, can you confirm that it will be all individual keys for each game versus just one key for the lot?

I'm disappointed Tony! You could only pull off 3x the price that GMG had?

Maybe I should stop building the Tony shrine in my backyard... My faith has been shaken.

In any case, I'll probably still grab it. To anyone interested, here's a reason behind buying it now:

"Buy the game before December the 31st and all the content in Issue #5, which will be released shortly, will also be included and you will receive the Initiate Pack, which includes strong starter weapons, a Blood Raven pet and extra social clothing." -TSW People

I don't have a link yet, but it will be individual Steam Keys.

:) any shrine built in my honor would surely crumble to dust in a matter of days anyway.
So, since the gamespot show is happening tomorrow can you hint at the deal?
$5 Syndicate
$10 Serious Sam Franchise (all Serious Sam games and DLC that we carry, yes individual keys)

If this was like Black & White 1/2, you could make your followers (us) rebuild your shrine & statue.

Any chance of a deal on "War of the Rose", That game looks great (already purchased Chivalry: Medieval Warfare, having a blast, just wish the rank/loadout system was in depth like I hear War of Roses is)

You're not missing much. I loved the videos of War of the Rose. Bought it full price. Played it for an hour, quit. Came back, played another hour, quit. One final hour and I was done with the game. Trying to keep track of attacks, blocks and doing the strange swipey attack system that didn't seem to matter much was painful and the heavily armored classes are painfully OP and boring to play as.

Chiv is the better game, and while frustrating at times I've had some really fun runs and could see the possibility's there. WoR just felt like a lawn mower simulation. :/ But then maybe I just suck at melee games. >.>

Guys, do you think these deals will be better on other sales?

If you want all the Serious Sam games -- no chance. I suppose the franchise pack could be made a 2012 Editor's Choice, Steam could put it on sale for $10, Amazon price matches, you use a coupon and get it for $5 but the odds of any of those things happening are non existent.

For Syndicate? maaaybe 3.75 !
But all Serious Sam titles + DLC for $10? Better than this i dont think so

Oh, you know what would be crazy?
If Bundles wind-up in the BSO 2012 sale...

Thanks for the answers. Guess I'll be grabbing SS franchise pack.

Possible but... I just can't see it. Of course with my luck I'll probably end up being wrong. Anyhoo, I got a fellow CAGer to give me $4 for all the older titles so $6 for SS3 + the new DLC = a good enough bargain for me!

Was actually going to hold off on the base SS3 to see if it was an Editor's Choice (which I can still see) but this pack just makes it a no brainer. And, hey, I get another promo code!

Problem is the only SS games I still want/need are SS3 and Double D. I guess I'll be handing out the rest as gifts!?

Edit - I try no to ask this question, but will LEGO LotR be a Steam key? I ask because IMO, there isn't much point in playing a Lego game if you aren't going to go for 100% and at that point, you may as well get all the achievements. I have the :360: version but would happily send it back to Gamestop on its current TIV deal and pick this up.

I'm going to be needing every Serious Sam except for Serious Sam 3 base (i don't have the DLC) if anyone is interested in just Serious Sam 3 message me.
The Crysis PM is nice, but I believe those are Origin, not Steam keys.
Its alright child, this isnt the steam deal thread.

Well if you bothered to check (a whole two clicks worth of work) before complaining, you would see that you are wrong. Crysis Max is not Origin. It's very clearly labeled on the Amazon product page (not all games are).

Is there a chance that we will see Darksiders 2 lower then 10$ or 15$ with Season Pass (with coupon) in January?

I'm asking, because local digital store have it today for ~9,75$, and 1,6$ for Arugul's / Death Rides. And I'm not sure if I should go for it.

(And before someone asks - they are region locked to Poland or whole CIS region)

Serious Sam deal I absolutely can't pass up. Totally a steal, that one.
Syndicate for $5...

the only reason I hesitate there is that $5 coupon looking at me. it knows, *knows* I want to use it... and if Syndicate makes its way back to $5 in Jan...
