F.A.Q.S.:

1. Does the game I'm buying from Amazon Activate on Steam/Origin/Uplay? What DRM does the game use?

There are two places to identify DRM on a digital video game detail page:

At the top of the page, below the title:

In the "Product Description" section:

2. Note on Electronic Arts Games - For the most part, EA games sold on Amazon do not activate on Steam. Most activate on Origin.

3. Note on DRM with limited activations:

Our Policy

4. Sometimes I'll do giveaways.

5. I work with developers and publishers to get fun (or at least what I think is fun) content to share with you all. Here are some examples:

a. Check out the Pax Gameplay videos here: Xcom: Enemy Unknown I played Xcom with Jake, the Creative Director for the game, a few months before the game came out Also, on this page, check out the Q&A, also a community driven event.

b. Check out the interview on this page: Borderlands 2 we did this interview at E3 with Randy Pitchford this year.

c. We've partnered with the ++GoodGames Podcast to feature many of the games we carry. They talk to the developers about the game development process, how the games are conceptualized and managed, all kinds of fun stuff. I'm working on putting together full link list and will update when I have it.

What else do we sell?

Xbox Live Points and Subscriptions:

1600 Microsoft Live Points
4000 Microsoft Live Points
12 Month XBOX Live Subscription
3 Month XBOX Live Subscription]
12 Month + 1 XBOX Live Subscription

We also have a Free-2-Play store supported by our GameConnect technology.
Well, damn straight!!!

The only way Tony can make things up to us is doing a 75% BL2 deal
Or bf3 premium..

Tony what will the Borderlands 2 deal be? Thinking about buying it on Steam but if Amazon is planning on beating the price, I'd like to know before making a purchase.

I'd also like to know about any Borderlands 2 deals. Honestly, I want to bite for $30 on Steam unless I can get it cheaper or with DLC/Season Pass.

If anyone has an extra Abyssal Forge DLC it would be much appreciated.

Edit: Got one Thanks!

I'm a little confused and probably overlooked an explanation for this somewhere in the last ten pages or so, but I was interested in nabbing Sonic Generations for $7.50 and the main post says that it's running at that price from 12/16 to 12/27, yet it's showing up as $15.00 when I click the link.

So if anyone knows why that's happening, I'd appreciate the answer. And thanks.
Pretty sure it isn't however if your GFWL account isn't from one the supported countries you won't be able to play it.
I could play Dark Souls and GTA 4 fine using gfwl, so I suppose that's not a problem. I'm kinda wary though since Arkham City goty isn't available for me in the Steam store. Will try buying later today.
I see Scribblenauts at $20...is the deal dead or do you have to do something to get the extra discount?
There was a reddit post by Tony stating Scribblenauts will be 75% off following days (can't seem to find the link), so that might be the reason why it's not working.

Anyone know if Tony mentioned any of the Total War series going on sale? Recently started to play android version of Total War Shogun, and I need more.

12/24 through 12/26

Scribblenauts Unlimited for 75% off?
Dang! That'll teach me to buy a game without checking this thread first. Just bought it earlier today at $20.
Oh well, I'll buy an extra copy (or two) for a friend (or two)

This thread got me interested in scribblenaughts. I take it theres an older one? Anyone know where I can get it cheap? I wanna try it out

The other scribblenauts games are on handhelds. Couple on DS and then an iOS game. The franchise hasn't hit consoles/PC until this entry.

Anyone heard about any deals on Little Inferno? I'm not sure if I should get it on Steam or Wii U or if Amazon may have it.

So I just purchased a giftable copy of Scribblenauts on Steam (not realizing it was Steamworks, on Amazon, and about to be 75% off). I guess I'll get another copy though to play for myself. Any Lego Lord of the Rings deals incoming?
Hey guys,

I'll be providing a full update in several hours. It is 4AM here so I'm going to crash for a few hours.

Cheers,
hi tony....will you guys run any mass effect deal besides the trilogy?
SSSSHHHHHHHHH.

He's sleeping. ;)
hi tony....will you guys run any mass effect deal besides the trilogy?
I'm more curious on ME3 Deluxe since that's not part of the trilogy.

i already asked tony, he said it will be on 24/12 :)

Amazon is totally slaying Steam for the second year now! Great work Tony, gamers are really winning with this increased competition. Although I shouldn't call it competition because you guys are beating or matching everything Steam does. :applause:

Any info if KOA will be in the editor's choice? I read that is a bit difficult for this game to go on sale because is now property of some state or something like that.

It has sooo many good reviews, some even say the combat is on pair with dark souls (haven't played DS, but saw some videos and is great)

hard to say if it will end up on the editor's choice list, I can speculate and say it has a good chance of being added but only Tony knows for sure. KOA is on sale for $12 at the moment, not a bad price considering you get two dlc packs

Tony, these 25% off on walking dead and 50% off on sleeping dogs are the final ones we'll see this holiday? Not as awesome as previous sales though.

Uhm....no, combat in KOA is a lot more arcadish than in DS, DS is the superior game.

That said, KOA is great game.

Where did he mention that??

But isn't KOA "more RPG" than DS? I should skip KOA and go with DS?

12 bucks PLUS it comes with the five dollar credit for the Editor's Choice sale...which could end up netting you a free game that is of quality.

He didn't mention anything, I just saw them rambling on Amazon.

I'm not sure if you could say "more RPG", just different. Both are "Western" in nature, but I'd say the biggest glaring difference between two are story, conversation/choice and combat style. DS has all of the standard RPG elements, but is arguably lacking in the story and conversation/choice department. Not that it is really missing as the game flows fine as is. DS is combat oriented, but in a more tactical way of noticing enemy patterns and parrying, blocking, etc. at the correct time. And has been stated, I feel that saying KoA's combat being more arcade-y is correct.

I tend to disagree, DS is very eastern in nature, from is a japanse dev, if that's what you mean. Other than that, DS is a much more hardcore RPG, some criticize the lack of storytelling but that it's just the way RPG games where made 10-20 years ago.

As such it's an unique gem found in modern gaming.

@juanjava
I couldn't possibly tell which one you will like, but I can give testimony of the deep and intricate world DS happens upon. If you can afford it, go for both, if not, all I can say, looking back at both experiences, DS is the vastly superior game, one which will net you 100s of hours of old fashioned hard core RPG gaming goodness.

Thanks! I think I'll like more KOA. I'll grab that now and DS some months later... :)
