F.A.Q.S.:

1. Does the game I'm buying from Amazon Activate on Steam/Origin/Uplay? What DRM does the game use?

There are two places to identify DRM on a digital video game detail page:

At the top of the page, below the title:

16hm7a8.png

In the "Product Description" section:

r06ykl.jpg

2. Note on Electronic Arts Games - For the most part, EA games sold on Amazon do not activate on Steam. Most activate on Origin.

3. Note on DRM with limited activations:

Our Policy

4. Sometimes I'll do giveaways.

5. I work with developers and publishers to get fun (or at least what I think is fun) content to share with you all. Here are some examples:

a. Check out the Pax Gameplay videos here: Xcom: Enemy Unknown I played Xcom with Jake, the Creative Director for the game, a few months before the game came out Also, on this page, check out the Q&A, also a community driven event.

b. Check out the interview on this page: Borderlands 2 we did this interview at E3 with Randy Pitchford this year.

c. We've partnered with the ++GoodGames Podcast to feature many of the games we carry. They talk to the developers about the game development process, how the games are conceptualized and managed, all kinds of fun stuff. I'm working on putting together full link list and will update when I have it.

What else do we sell?

Xbox Live Points and Subscriptions:

1600 Microsoft Live Points
4000 Microsoft Live Points
12 Month XBOX Live Subscription
3 Month XBOX Live Subscription]
12 Month + 1 XBOX Live Subscription

PSN+ Subscriptions and PSN Points:

$20 PSN Points
$50 PSN Points

We also have a Free-2-Play store supported by our GameConnect technology. Wow, great update. Looking forward to the sales!

A quick question, do you know if HAWX and the other Tom Clancy games come with Steam keys?
Anyone heard about any deals on Little Inferno? I'm not sure if I should get it on Steam or Wii U or if Amazon may have it.
If you liked World of Goo at all, then Little Inferno is worth every penny of the full asking price.
Otherwise, if you're very patient it'll probably be part of a future HumbleBundle. But I doubt any deals on it in the short-term. But it's worth the full price anyway.

I'm thinking of picking up THQ pack, but I'm only interested in Red Faction Guerrilla and Warhammer Space Marine. Would anyone else be interested in the other games (Homefront, Red Faction Armageddon, Metro 2033, STALKER) for a few bucks?

Some games have disappeared. So the deals will be the ones you updated?

Thanks.
Wow. The Darksiders packs on Amazon and Steam are practically the same price. Which one wins out in content?

Content's the same.

Amazon's Franchise Pack is 40 cents cheaper out right.
Plus, Amazon DVG gives $5 coupon off for this upcoming EC 2012 sale (that begins in Jan 2013) that can be used on games that'll likely rotate on and off this list (well, that's how it went this past Jan 2012).
Content is not exactly the same.

Steam's Darksiders Franchise Pack does not include the Season Pass, so I don't see anything else mentioning the Maker's Armor DLC, which is included in the Season Pass DLC. Also included with the Season Pass is the Abyssal Forge and Lord Belial DLCs. You only activate the Season pass then you'll have an extra key of the Abyssal Forge DLC with the Amazon bundle.

Plus the fact you get individual keys for every game/DLC, if it happens you already have a certain game or DLC, i.e. Darksiders 1, so you can gift/trade the extra key(s).
And as you mentioned there is the $5 credit to use on selected games next January and $0.40 cheaper

So... Amazon's deal seems the wise choice.

Oooh, I missed that Steam's Franchise Pack DOES NOT have Season Pass.
Yeah, I bought my Darksiders Franchise Pack from Amazon DVG yesterday. Glad I did. :D

Is the Darksiders Season Pass ever going to offer more than the three pieces of DLC released already? It seems like two missions and some armor aren't really much looking at the standard amount of content in most other Season Passes.

That probably depends on if THQ sticks around;
who buys THQ out and/or gets Darksiders IP;
and what the new owner decides to do w/ Darksiders 2.

EDIT:
MCV says is UbiSoft is looking to be one of the front-runners to bid.

The "missions" are fairly lengthy. About the norm for most DLC stuff. Certainly more content than Saint's Row's season pass. Most of them really are kinda skimpy. The only company doing season passes right seems to be 2k with Borderlands.

But no, the season pass is over and that's been their outline for months.
Amazon doesn't PM international sites. Good try though. ;)
They couldnt match even if it wasnt a international site

Amazon does not carry Bethesda digital games downloads!
Oooh, I missed that Steam's Franchise Pack DOES NOT have Season Pass.
It actually does have the content of the Season Pass. The only thing it's missing is the low-level armor Makers Armor that is a bonus exclusive to the Season Pass.
any chance for a price match on the gamersgate bethesda new year pack?
the site seems to be dead, for how much is it going there?

wow, found it on my own, no wonder the site is suffering an stroke right now...
thought id try before i end up getting comitted from trying to get to the gamersgate site
You must be new here. 1. Amazon doesn't match international sites, and 2. Amazon doesn't carry Bethesda games.
The Gamersgate deal is a massive glitch and not even the Great and Powerful Tony of OZ can match THAT price.
Well I hope not because I plan to spend the night reloading and reloading and reloading, just to know I will never be able to reach the end of the checkout process.

It really is out of this world, they must be out of keys by now.
Tony,

Sacred 2 Gold just hit steam (published by Deep Silver) any plans for you all to carry it on Amazon?
I would like to know this as well.

It's taken me about an hour to F5 my GG library, but I just now finally got in. People are still reporting success, it's just reeeeeaaaaaaaalllllllllly slow.

Doe scribblenauts have enough content to warrant even the 7.50 price point? I own the 99 cent app version, so I was wondering how it compared to that.
It actually does have the content of the Season Pass. The only thing it's missing is the low-level armor Makers Armor that is a bonus exclusive to the Season Pass.
Check this: http://www.cheapassgamer.com/forums/showpost.php?p=10307855&postcount=9777

You are not remembering that on Amazon you get separate Steam keys for each game and DLC.
And the Abyssal Forge DLC has an extra key because you only need the Season pass.
And the $5 credit.
And it's $0.40 cheaper (I don't know what to do with $0.40 but this we are CAG'ers for some reason )
Tony,

I'm curious if Tony can carry it, how it'll be carried...

Will you have Steam keys?
Will you have DRM-FREE keys?
Or (hopefully) sell both DRM-FREE and Steam keys?

Please, don't get a version riddled w/ Securom!
Securom DRM check on S2: Gold Gamersgate version is annoying in my Win7 64-bit PC - as it happens w/ EVERY Boot-up, even though I already activated both keys already! I have to bring up Task Manager; close Task Manager; then switch to S2 Gold game for it to blow by the annoying DRM.

This.

For the Saints Row 3 full package, will it be just one key, or will the DLC be separate from the main game?

I ask because I have the base game from the humble bundle, and would like to pick up the DLC. I figured I might be able to buy the full package & give the base game to a friend if the keys are separate... but if not, I'll just grab the season pass and whatever else DLC I want to get.

Thanks Tony, and enjoy your time with family!
