Sorry if you think stating the obvious is lemming-like. You've been here as long as I have so I'd presume you'd have the sense to know about the possibility of overlapping deals and Amazon's price matching policy. Apparently not.

The non-steam version is correct now, still waiting on Steam version though, that one is still 59.99
 
$15 for MP3 Steam is showing up for me but it goes to $60 when I checkout. Give it a few minutes I reckon.

The promotion did work for me though so thats good.


EDIT: $10 for Max Payne 3 (Steam) worked for me!

I skip to the last page when when I am more than 2 pages behind. This thread would move slower without all the complaints. Half of my screen is "user is on your ignore list."
 
Going on game-buying hiatus pretty much now (may pick up a couple things with my credits for other people) but I wanted to say thanks on the BF3 premium price. Been wanting to get back into that game and now I am all caught up!

I fully get what you are saying. I know this is a price match. What I am interested in knowing is if he has talked with Paradox about future promotions in January. Last summer I bought Warlock Master of the Arcane for $12 and then 3 weeks later it was in a huge mega-pack for like $15 with 7-8 other games.

He is always telling everyone else "don't buy 2k games today -- we'll have them much cheaper in the future" so I figured I would get some kind of confirmation on whether or not Paradox would be running any promotions in January.

It is a moot point now. I just bought the thing off Steam. Really, saving $5 or $10 or whatever is not worth fighting with a bunch of teenagers. If Amazon's business model is to cater to gamers without money that only want free stuff (which seems to be who gets their questions answered immediately) then that is a pretty fail business plan.

Ok, I'm out to play War of the Roses with my friends.

No need IMO. Other than the protagonist sharing the same name (and I suppose back story), Max Payne 3 is it's own story and not in the same realm of 1 and 2. The mood, atmosphere, everything really are all altered. If it wasn't for the inclusion of pills for healing and bullet time, I'd dare say that MP3 isn't even a Max Payne game.

^Ditton on the size of TSW.
TSW is taking sooo long to dl. I already restarted it once to see if that would help, but it is going at like 300-400 KB/s D=

Cut-scenes are rendered using the in-game engine, I believe, so they wouldn't take up much space. According to this article it's mostly due to all the textures (which I believe since the Skyrim high-res pack is also like 3-4GB), but also to higher audio quality included (which this game has tons of, not just in the cut scenes but in Max's narration of everything he does):

I won't say I'm not disappointed that you won't be here as much as you have been (which is more than I would expect from a rep). But I certainly don't blame you. No one person should have to bare the verbal assault (which apparently some people call asserting themselves) you take on a daily basis.

Yep, right before I made that post. I think from their subscription promo page, they might extend it all the way to the 7th, but I wouldn't wait. Good vibes for them not having a hard cutoff yet. In WoW I was pet collector (had a Hyacinth Macaw since mid-Classic WoW), so the Blood Raven made me happy.
 
So I grabbed May Payne 3 for the discounted price, but being an idiot I grabbed the NON steam version (because I loves me some extra DRM)

Anywhoo, I contacted Amazon customer service and within THREE MINUTES they had sorted me out. The spooky thing was, when I went to buy the steam version of MP3, I had the $5 discount PLUS the $5 discount that was refunded from my NON steam version of MP3.... so it cost me just $4.99.

Amazon customer service are flat out brilliant for sorting out problems quickly!
 
People just take a missed post way too personally. I had to ask Tony three or four times to get the Warlock DLC price matched but that's just the way it is when you're posting on multiple forums and responding to hundreds of PMs (and probably e-mail and text, too).

RE: ME3, get the deluxe version as it comes with the From Ashes DLC which is valued at $10 on its own. And I personally have NEVER seen Bioware DLC go on ANY kind of sale. (Be known that I am biased as ME is one of, if not my most favorite franchise.)

Amazon knocking it out of the park again today. Picked up Secret World (All you guys talking convinced me! I need a MMO substitute for boring WoW anyhow.). Very much debating MP3, though I remember growing bored of it on the 360 (but liking the style of it.)

(Also, leave Tony alone, guys. He is one man. One man doesn't need to take all that abuse. Yes, it's the price of success, to a point, but now people are abusing him. and thats too far. It sickens me. )

Can anyone comment on the MP3 Season Pass? it looks to be useless as for Multiplayer only. ...is there any DLC that extends the storyline at all? misterD, I'm looking for your advice :)
