F.A.Q.S.:

1. Does the game I'm buying from Amazon Activate on Steam/Origin/Uplay? What DRM does the game use?

There are two places to identify DRM on a digital video game detail page:

At the top of the page, below the title:

16hm7a8.png

In the "Product Description" section:

r06ykl.jpg

2. Note on Electronic Arts Games - For the most part, EA games sold on Amazon do not activate on Steam. Most activate on Origin.

3. Note on DRM with limited activations:

Our Policy

4. Sometimes I'll do giveaways.

5. I work with developers and publishers to get fun (or at least what I think is fun) content to share with you all. Here are some examples:

a. Check out the Pax Gameplay videos here: Xcom: Enemy Unknown I played Xcom with Jake, the Creative Director for the game, a few months before the game came out Also, on this page, check out the Q&A, also a community driven event.

b. Check out the interview on this page: Borderlands 2 we did this interview at E3 with Randy Pitchford this year.

c. We've partnered with the ++GoodGames Podcast to feature many of the games we carry. They talk to the developers about the game development process, how the games are conceptualized and managed, all kinds of fun stuff. I'm working on putting together full link list and will update when I have it.

What else do we sell?

Xbox Live Points and Subscriptions:

1600 Microsoft Live Points
4000 Microsoft Live Points
12 Month XBOX Live Subscription
3 Month XBOX Live Subscription]
12 Month + 1 XBOX Live Subscription

PSN+ Subscriptions and PSN Points:

$20 PSN Points
$50 PSN Points
12 Month PSN+ Subscription
3 Month PSN+ Subscription

We also have a Free-2-Play store supported by our GameConnect technology. Gameconnect allows you to link your Amazon.com account with free-2-play and MMO accounts so that you can buy things like in game currency, premium game time/subscriptions, in game items, etc. on Amazon.com using your Amazon.com payment options and have this content delivered directly into your game.

since it's only 12MB.

...not that I would buy such shit.
I didn't even realize they made games
that small anymore

I hope "making games" isn't a spoiler...
You're right! Sale page claims
25MB
though. I do find it a bit amusing to use the downloader for a
12 MB file.

You had best not ever mention a game like
All Zombies Must Die!
without spoiler tags!

Some of us like to be surprised by how big a game is, thanks for ruining that for us =(
So are we getting Max Payne 3 back at 75% off?
Amazon's steam key version has been dropped back to $29.99 (from $59.99 listed earlier).
Max Payne 3 pricematch incoming!!! Thanks in advance Tony!!
How do they fit all that
artwork into 25MB?

Steam has announced that they are extending their winter sale through the weekend.

- Gamers will have a final opportunity to get their favorite games on Steam. A select number of the most sought-after titles from the Steam Holiday Sale will reprise their biggest discounts for two additional days. The Encore Weekend begins at 10am PST on January 5th (Saturday) and run until 10am PST on January 7th (Monday). (Source: Steam)

So good chance we see Max Payne listed again after this current sale.

Not sure, it's already a community sale now and unless it's a daily deal, not so useful for our purposes.
You do realize all the MP3 DLC is multiplayer, right. Not that I'm downplaying it or anything, I just don't want people thinking they're getting some special SP bonus missions or whatnot.
Yes I know. Because it's 35Gig download, with my current connection it will be downloaded tomorrow if I start it tonight. With the Amazon offer it was the same price as Steam but with the additional DLC. Hence why I asked if it was an Amazon error as the one I can see on there was $80.

The ones people mentioned at $30 did not mention DLC being included. Can the Amazon rep please clear this up as I'm looking to buy the game tonight.

Thanks

Toilet Tycoon @ $1.99 = Bought!

Why isn't this in the thread title? Come on, you know it would attract attention!

I only wish Amazon had a better gifting system because if it did an, ahem, crapload of people would have Toilet Tycoon right now!
Toilet Simulator 2013 or bust.

This is basically the best thing ever.

Quick! Someone put up the Motoki bat-signal!
Thanks. I heeded the call

The Steam version never mentioned DLC being included, it was just a pleasant surprise when the key redeemed on Steam with 4 DLC items. Tony has never commented on this one way or the other.

That's what I mean - if its a daily deal again. I'd say there's a decent chance in that.

I'm not sure if it's 'funny' or 'awesome', or some hybrid, but Tony takes a joke comment, reaches out to the developer, and within a day has a *ahem*crappy game 80% off, and we all buy it. XD

I don't think I got any of those, unless there's some other way to unlock them. Oh well..

Maybe it was only a certain batch of them that got mixed in? It happens sometimes when Amazon gets keys from vendors.

Yeah I kind of suspected with the new batch that the keys might indeed not have that extra DLC "perk"
It's hilarious. They guy goes to great lengths to try to rationalize things in this game that just make no god damned sense and sounds frustrated trying to make sense of it.
I get the feeling that right after making this video, he
went somewhere and smashed a toilet.

Or paid someone way too much money to go throw up in one.
Here's a review that was posted a few weeks back. You can hire thugs to go sabotage your competitors toilets; lol!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QrEUdrEgOwc
Game description on Amazon:

But that’s just the beginning; with competitors that never sleep and the escalating tastes of your customers, you will need INNOVATIONS to increase profits. Next stop: Golden bowls, silk toilet tissue and seats with handy cup holders.

Never mind
"tastes"
with a game about
poo.

more from Amazon:

New features of version 1.6.0.0 are improved graphics, better game balance, special events at turn end as well as support for Windows XP functions like multiuser installation and much more.

The game is mainly aimed at beginners as well as at "normal" players.

So not only is the game
supported and patched
by the dev, but also even
newb
gamers can take the
plunge

But I really like the
better game balance.
I'd hate to do into the
"shituation"
of a
massively-plugged toilet
and find out I have no
snake or sulfuric acid.
Having to just
use my hands
would probably be an
OSHA violation
anyway...
They should add Civilization V Gods & Kings to 2K Mega Pack.
Yeah, it seemed like it was too much without it at the old price. The $5 price cut makes up for it, though.
I get the impression people aren't understanding that the EC list is dynamic and will change throughout the month, thus they are prematurely burning through their coupons.
It will be interesting to see what the pricing will be like once Steam finishes its sales - ie you wont likely see too much PM going on unless people dig up deals from stores other than Steam.
Yes. Toilet Tycoon for $1.99.
Amazon has wiped me clean this past holiday season. Even so, I'm going to take the plunge with this nutty game because...

...it's corny.

EDIT: Okay, I just bought this for real a moment ago. Thanks for going out of your way for a crazy, spur-of-the-moment deal, Tony :D
