These ping my email address and make it more likely that I will see your question and respond more quickly.

F.A.Q.S.:

1. Does the game I'm buying from Amazon Activate on Steam/Origin/Uplay? What DRM does the game use?

There are two places to identify DRM on a digital video game detail page:

At the top of the page, below the title:

16hm7a8.png

In the "Product Description" section:

r06ykl.jpg

2. Note on Electronic Arts Games - For the most part, EA games sold on Amazon do not activate on Steam. Most activate on Origin.

3. Note on DRM with limited activations:

Our Policy

4. Sometimes I'll do giveaways.

5. I work with developers and publishers to get fun (or at least what I think is fun) content to share with you all. Here are some examples:

a. Check out the Pax Gameplay videos here: Xcom: Enemy Unknown I played Xcom with Jake, the Creative Director for the game, a few months before the game came out Also, on this page, check out the Q&A, also a community driven event.

b. Check out the interview on this page: Borderlands 2 we did this interview at E3 with Randy Pitchford this year.

c. We've partnered with the ++GoodGames Podcast to feature many of the games we carry. They talk to the developers about the game development process, how the games are conceptualized and managed, all kinds of fun stuff. I'm working on putting together full link list and will update when I have it.

What else do we sell?

Xbox Live Points and Subscriptions:

1600 Microsoft Live Points
4000 Microsoft Live Points
12 Month XBOX Live Subscription
3 Month XBOX Live Subscription]
12 Month + 1 XBOX Live Subscription

PSN+ Subscriptions and PSN Points:

$20 PSN Points
$50 PSN Points

3 Month PSN+ Subscription

We also have a Free-2-Play store supported by our GameConnect technology. Gameconnect allows you to link your Amazon.com account with free-2-play and MMO accounts so that you can buy things like in game currency, premium game time/subscriptions, in game items, etc. on Amazon.com using your Amazon.com payment options and have this content delivered directly into your game.

Too much password paranoia imho. All you need is a few letters and numbers, for example my password for everything is abc1234. Good luck figuring out all those numbers and letters, hackers! My online banking password, however, requires a punctuation (stupid), so I just put a comma at the end. Problem solved, and easy to remember as well! Feel free to copy mine if you can't think of a good one.
ahah XD, no I don't. But in the last few years i've had a few wakeup calls in regards to password security. So I eventually started changing all my passwords, looked information about password managers and other junk.

And here I am!:hot:

I tried to do the same for others in my household(Brother, parents) but they just get aggravated with me and don't get it. So I try to make it simpler for them by having a notebook with pages for passwords.
Oh well, it's a relief someone not in field is that diligent when it comes to security. Even before I was in IT, ever since I started using a computer I've always been big on security.
Yes, some family can be a pain to deal with when it comes to computers.

Heh, well, I was waiting for a possibly free Hotline Miami, but now that the Steam sale is done, I made sure to grab a 2.50 one just in case it goes back up to $10 before coupon.

FYI I'll be making a new thread soon. This one has gotten HUGE.

Also, for those of you curious about Price Matching, we're looking at stuff right now and will be matching on a case by case basis, reasons for not matching will include:

1. We've run or are currently running a better deal than what is currently being displayed
2. We are working on (even if not finalized) a better deal in January. Again, this is not a guarantee that anything not matched will be cheaper in January, only that I am close enough to feel uncomfortable offering a worse offer only a few days prior. As we've all seen before, sometimes things fall through at the last minute.
3. The Walking Dead will be $12.49 shortly, just put the pricing in place. This is the only PM I'll probably comment on directly since we're moving the sale up by a day due to matching.

Cheers,
Tony

From one CAG to another, Steam has Sleeping Dogs for 91% off - 4.49. Can't go lower than this.

Edit: Ninja'ed ^. Lol.

pricematch on Sleeping Dogs at Steam
Sleeping Dogs at 91% on Steam. Not sure if it's a pricing error or not. Most DLC is discounted as well.
Definitely an error.

Ooooooo!
A "glitch" sale!

Wow at that sleeping dogs price, read the book "ghost in the wires", you'll discover people are the biggest issue (social engineering). I mean why people say what pass word manager they use is a good example;).

In for two :bouncy:

Bought one as a gift and two Nightmare in Northpoint DLC before they fixed it. Totally worth it. About same price as GMG with their $6 credit back. Got the dlc and the gift for my bro.

Why isn't the SR 3 on the EC list the full package version, would be great to use the $5 coupon since it probably will be pm the steam sale

Looks like the price is live! Thanks Tony, looking forward to the new thread.
Hi Tony, you guys bringing back the Darksiders franchise pack sale? :) Steam has it right now.
Yeah we are, not matching right now though because, at minimum, we'll have that price, and it MAY be added to the EC list (still figuring it out). Remember the last time we sold the franchise pack for $13.19 and then applied a coupon to it? We had 4098324438480928423094823 pages of rage.

Like I said, at minimum, it'll be a DOTW in Jan, I'm giving it a better than 50% chance of making it into EC. Call it like 65% likely.

Cheers,
Tony

Awesome. Thanks for the response. Since Amazon will be having it at that price anyway sometime this month, I might as well hold on to my money and not give it to Steam right now, and just wait until I can hand over the cash to you guys in Amazon. :applause:

Also, LOL@ people asking for a price match for a clear price glitch. For those that were joking, ignore this, for those that were not, questions like that are a huge part of the reason real, legitimate questions get missed. I will continue to note this.

Lastly,

Today is the last day for Hitman Absolution at $19.99.

Cheers,
Tony

Tony I say, do your worst, people are going to complain anyway, those who purchased it @66off are already raging at Valve because of today's glitch on Sleeping Dogs.

Eventually they will have to mature, some never do, and understand that in life, some times you win, some times you lose.

Btw.
Thanks for everything you've done so far on this season, it's been awesome.

Unless it goes up for a lower price and is on the EC list, I doubt there'll be many complaints - most will already have been voiced last time around.

Alright! TWD has been bought from Amazon DVG; activated on Steam; and is downloading! :D

$7.49 after coupon.
Now, I have 8 EC coupons left!

Keep them killer irresistible deals coming, Tony!

That's what I'm saying Detruire, it might (and I think likely right now) be in the EC list and I'm 100% sure it'll be $13.19 even if it isn't on the list.

If the package is worth getting RIGHT NOW at $13.19 from Steam, customers can and should do that. If you'd prefer to potentially save $5 but at minimum get the same deal in a week or so...hold off.

Cheers,
Tony

I've had Hitman: Absolution PC since that deal around X-Mas from you guys.
I'm around 20 hours into Hitman: Absolution, so far...

For comparisons sake, how many Editors Choice games were available for purchase for Jan of 2012?

Also, Tony, is there a probability of Dark Souls price dropping more? I am very tempted at 12.99, but, I am a cheap ass gamer, so...

Thanks again for all your hard work.

You had better change Darksiders 2 Season Pass to 7,49 USD since the full Darksiders 2 pack is 13,49 USD on Steam (and 9,99 USD is impractical)

Honestly I'd have to dig into my reporting to get you that info. Also, Dark Souls won't be cheaper through us in the foreseeable future.

That has to be the most polite request I've read today...

Awesome! I missed the first time the franchise pack went on sale with the coupon -- hopefully it gets added to the EC list!

I was wondering about this, too. I think that the full package version was on the EC list until yesterday.

Thanks Tony! TWD at $7.49 its fantastic.
Is there a chat option for costumer service for digital dowloads or just e-mail?
That's a good question. I'm FAIRLY certain the only option is email and phone.

What's up?

Wouldn't hold your breath. Barely any place has had Dark Souls under $20, let alone for $13.

This is 100% correct, but the email response is usually very swift. I've not had any problems with them.
I was wondering about this, too. I think that the full package version was on the EC list until yesterday.
Negative, when we created the list we didn't have TFP yet (like it wasn't a product on our site). So we put the non-full package in there. We won't be adding The Full Package unless we have a planned promotion around it, which we do not right now.

Cheers,
Tony

5th game bought off of EC list (TWD, which I've been waiting to buy for months). Only 9 coupons left! Also, this thread just never stops, does it? I have no idea what the last ~10 pages were about o_O

Looking forward to this potentially happening to Darksiders.

Tony,
I want to add to the others here that are thanking you for your time and dedication to this group and customers in general. You and the Amazon customer service team are stellar and in my experience (and others I've spoken to) have handled situations and issues perfectly. To the point that folks that have had issues with Amazon and contacted your team, have actually left a more loyal customer. We call that a "golden opportunity" where I work and you and your peers handle them flawlessly. I think many other companies should take note and learn from Amazon, as I certainly am.

Anyway TL;DR -

Love what you do and how you do it.
