F.A.Q.S.:

1. Does the game I'm buying from Amazon Activate on Steam/Origin/Uplay? What DRM does the game use?

There are two places to identify DRM on a digital video game detail page:

At the top of the page, below the title:

16hm7a8.png

In the "Product Description" section:

r06ykl.jpg

2. Note on Electronic Arts Games - For the most part, EA games sold on Amazon do not activate on Steam. Most activate on Origin.

3. Note on DRM with limited activations:

Our Policy

4. Sometimes I'll do giveaways.

5. I work with developers and publishers to get fun (or at least what I think is fun) content to share with you all. Here are some examples:

a. Check out the Pax Gameplay videos here: Xcom: Enemy Unknown I played Xcom with Jake, the Creative Director for the game, a few months before the game came out Also, on this page, check out the Q&A, also a community driven event.

b. Check out the interview on this page: Borderlands 2 we did this interview at E3 with Randy Pitchford this year.

c. We've partnered with the ++GoodGames Podcast to feature many of the games we carry. They talk to the developers about the game development process, how the games are conceptualized and managed, all kinds of fun stuff. I'm working on putting together full link list and will update when I have it.

What else do we sell?

Xbox Live Points and Subscriptions:

1600 Microsoft Live Points
4000 Microsoft Live Points
12 Month XBOX Live Subscription
3 Month XBOX Live Subscription]
12 Month + 1 XBOX Live Subscription

PSN+ Subscriptions and PSN Points:

$20 PSN Points
$50 PSN Points
12 Month PSN+ Subscription
3 Month PSN+ Subscription

We also have a Free-2-Play store supported by our GameConnect technology. Gameconnect allows you to link your Amazon.com account with free-2-play and MMO accounts so that you can buy things like in game currency, premium game time/subscriptions, in game items, etc. on Amazon.com using your Amazon.com payment options and have this content delivered directly into your game.

I got the credit email, but didn't get a code to enter so far this year. I checked my email from 2011 and the 2011 promo actually had a code you enter.

I liked having the actual code since it's easier to know what you have used or you can give to friends, etc...

I really think the 2012 Editor's Choice codes aren't really working yet and any code that people see are probably from buying something else is my guess like I had a code for World of Tanks, War Band or whatever, etc..
They've been advertising that on the side of their page for at least a week. Their Batman AA & AC GOTY bundle for $20 isn't terrible (though I imagine most people who still want AC already have AA).
Some of these look ok to me actually. The UFO trilogy was $5 on Amazon and if gmg had a coupon, could make it $4 even or less.

Of course, I don't really want to load Capsule so I'd probably pass on most of these unless they are crazy deals.

Is Starcraft Physical or download only? I'm thinking it's physical, sense only Blizzard been selling digital versions of the game.

Physical
Physical
Thanks, just asking because I wasn't too sure. Sense it's usually only PC downloads in this thread. I know what I'm getting tomorrow :D
Any chance we see Chivalry on Amazon?
I've asked before and sent a tweet to Torn Banner. Didn't hear back. I really hope it happens soon!

StarCraft 2 is only sold digitally via one place - BATTLE.NET.
This is true for most of Blizzard's recent games, BTW.
any chance we see chivalry on amazon?

it is exhibited by tony on a daily basis.
lmao! :whistle2:X
I can see $5 worth of credit in my account. I assume that it's from the Prototype pack that I bought when it was $7.50 last Friday. That's the only DD item that I've bought recently.

EDIT: Unless preordering Hitman Absolution back in October counts as "recently".
If it was for that Prototype pack, then I should have $25 and $15 for the 3 new purchases and $2 MP3 credit when I applied the promo code. $42 credit but still shows $0.00 :D
Just got an email from GMG announcing that they are now doing bundles:

http://www.greenmangaming.com/bundles/

Several of them look very familiar, EXCEPT THE PRICES!! LOL!!

Keep up the good work Tony, you're way ahead of most other Digital Resellers.
Lol ! maybe that's why my Amazon to GMG purchase ratio is like 20:1 plus, Amazon went the extra mile and got Steam keys for most of the AAA games that were never Steam redeemable before
I think GMG is starting to do the same but they can't catch Amazon. Batman AC GOTY is Steam redeemable there (first time I see that) but Batman AA GOTY is still GFWL only

I thought it was physical at first but it was in this tread. So I was like, is it digital download? I knew Blizzard only sells it digitally through them self. Just needed clearing up is all.

Honestly, I'm getting very tired of seeing all the $5 promo stressing in this thread. I don't see any reason for it to show in the currently available credit that you are all pointing at, since you wouldn't be able to spend it until January. In addition it isn't quite like "normal" Amazon credit. It's more like a coupon. You can use one of your $5 coupons per eligible Amazon DVG game purchase in January. I trust that Amazon will get this right. Has Tony ever screwed you? (Well, apart from putting stuff on sale for lower than your recently paid elsewhere.)
Any more updates on the "bad news" from Activision regarding the Black Ops/MW2 Black Friday deal? The suspense is killing me.
You're pregnant! ^_~

Hey guys,

Sorry for the silence. I've been compiling this list for the OP and it is taking forever.

As for the $5 coupons, I will check with my promo team but I believe the credit won't show up in that widget until they are able to be used (so January 1st). Don't worry though, you'll get the promo credit.

Also, in going through the list I found out we sell this and it will be $3.50 during this sale...

I'm buying it. I miss Burger Time.

Cheers,
Tony
Thanks!
I got so many racing games, it ain't even funny.

Hell, I still got a retail copy of GTR2 that I never installed! :whistle2:x

EDIT 1 --> Same goes for Split-Second and DIRT 1 from Retail, as well - never installed them.
EDIT 2 --> Oh, crap - forgot I also got on Steam these racers, untouched: DIRT 1, FUEL, TOCA: Race Driver 3, and GRID.
EDIT 3 --> Got Shift 2: Unleashed installed, but ain't touched it...since I still do play NFS: Shift 1 here & there.
I played Blur on the PS3, is the perfect game to play with a bunch of friends and have fun cause it supports 4 player split-screen, it requires to put some time on it to unlock all the achievements. I remember that there was a lot of people playing the beta, but it ended up having a poor launch day, mostly cause Activision decided to release the game on the same day than Split/Second....:applause:....

Split/Second was tons of fun as well but got old quickly, all circuits felt the same for me after a while, but it has some really cool game modes. Toca 3 is one the best racing games ever made and GRID is probably my favorite one this generation. Got Shift 2 free with the EA code glitch, so far i've put 10 hours on it, it's pretty much an upgraded version of Shift. I'm definetly looking forward to Project CARS, the next game from Slightly Mad Studios.

All this racing games talk reminds me i need to buy Fuel, there are some really crazy and cool mods for it.

The problem is, some of that credit is showing up in the widget for us. Maybe it's just a random glitch, but I know I couldn't have received credit from anything else.

I'm pretty sure that's the first time I've heard someone say much positive about Fuel ...well apart from acknowledging that it exists.

Tony I'm so so sorry to keep disturbing you with Skyrim, please believe me I really am but on Thursday you guys are gonna have Skyrim for $25 which is great but only for 360/PS3, not for PC, do you know if that might change? Thank you.

No idea man, sorry, I'll ask though. Remind me on Monday.

Also, while digging through deals I also found this:

http://www.amazon.com/Paradox-Inter...=2025&creative=165953&creativeASIN=B00A7CANFI

$9.99, sending emails now to make sure we have Steam keys for everything, will confirm.

Cheers,
Tony

Great!

Also don't forget to remind the promo team about those earlier Prototype Packs for $7.49

By the way Tony, I noticed many places are selling Hitman Absolution Pre-order with 40-45% Off, I'm sure Amazon may be able to do the same "IF" Square Enix was involved in such discounts. We know Amazon has some good relations with SE, right ? :)

And.... Serious Sam 3 BFE and all Serious same series have 75% off sale now on Amazon, why not Serious Sam 3 Jewel of the Nile DLC ?

Nope, brainfart on my end, fixed now!

Cheers,

I stand corrected... and amazed! Although it (base game) was $6 on Gamestop a couple of weeks ago: going to play a game of chicken and see if it ends up as one of the Editor's Choices in January and overlaps with a sale.

I'm in for the SS3:BFE DLC... no brainer there.

Nice looking Paradox Pack for those that don't own most of those games.

Burgertime was indeed a fun take on the maze chase genre. There was something ridiculously funny about crushing condiments beneath the weight of falling burger parts.

I am pretty darn close to cancelling my Hitman Preorder with Amazon and ordering it through GMG. I have the regular edition preordered on Amazon for $35, but I could have the Professional edition on GMG for $29. I'd really like the Amazon preorder bonus, but not enough to pay $6 more for an inferior version of the game.

Those Paradox games all have pretty mediocre reviews, has anyone tried Defenders of Ardania? Is it a decent tower defense?

Also how's that Warlock game?

As much as I love Tony and his deals, I love saving money more. I canceled my Hitman PE order for $39 on Amazon and got it through GMG for $29.
$2.50 for the new SS3 expac almost makes me want to buy it even though I don't own the base game yet. Hmmmm....
Yeah, I had to complete my Serious Sam collection so I couldn't resist this deal. Plus, it comes with a $5 promo credit..
