I'm also here to answer questions you might have, get you closer to the developers by hosting Q&As, setting up podcasts, live streaming gameplay etc. If I don't respond to a question you have in thread please send me a PM. These ping my email address and make it more likely that I will see your question and respond more quickly.

F.A.Q.S.:

1. Does the game I'm buying from Amazon Activate on Steam/Origin/Uplay? What DRM does the game use?

There are two places to identify DRM on a digital video game detail page:

At the top of the page, below the title:

16hm7a8.png

In the "Product Description" section:

r06ykl.jpg

2. Note on Electronic Arts Games - For the most part, EA games sold on Amazon do not activate on Steam. Most activate on Origin.

3. Note on DRM with limited activations:

Our Policy

4. Sometimes I'll do giveaways.

5. I work with developers and publishers to get fun (or at least what I think is fun) content to share with you all. Here are some examples:

a. Check out the Pax Gameplay videos here: Xcom: Enemy Unknown I played Xcom with Jake, the Creative Director for the game, a few months before the game came out Also, on this page, check out the Q&A, also a community driven event.

b. Check out the interview on this page: Borderlands 2 we did this interview at E3 with Randy Pitchford this year.

c. We've partnered with the ++GoodGames Podcast to feature many of the games we carry. They talk to the developers about the game development process, how the games are conceptualized and managed, all kinds of fun stuff. I'm working on putting together full link list and will update when I have it.

What else do we sell?

Xbox Live Points and Subscriptions:

1600 Microsoft Live Points
4000 Microsoft Live Points
12 Month XBOX Live Subscription
3 Month XBOX Live Subscription]
12 Month + 1 XBOX Live Subscription

PSN+ Subscriptions and PSN Points:

$20 PSN Points
$50 PSN Points
12 Month PSN+ Subscription
3 Month PSN+ Subscription

We also have a Free-2-Play store supported by our GameConnect technology. Gameconnect allows you to link your Amazon.com account with free-2-play and MMO accounts so that you can buy things like in game currency, premium game time/subscriptions, in game items, etc. on Amazon.com using your Amazon.com payment options and have this content delivered directly into your game.

To check out the Free-2-Play games we offer you can visit our storefront here:

Hey guys,

I broke something with the OP and I can't make updates to the first or second post anymore :(.

I have MOST of the stuff up there but I'm missing the Namco deals, and some cool stuff from Sega, Disney and the Activision stuff. I'll keep trying but here's some reminders that I can't get in the OP right now:

11/23:

Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition - $14.99 Steam

Oooh. Cheapy just emailed me back...troubleshooting time.

Cheers,
Tony
All of these Paradox bundles look awesome
fuck yeah!

I'm going to be splitting these up in the Steam trading thread because I only want Warlock, HOI3 and Victoria.

Tony,

Question re: Paradox stuff. Are you going to price match Steam sales a la carte or are the bundles substitutions for that? The bundles are great deals, but I own too much of the included items to make it a good buy (nor do I really want to bother with excessive trading/splitting).

Likely yes, our pricing systems are just running mondo slow right now due to the massive amount of almost constant changes.

Cheers,
Tony

Gotcha, thanks. Understandable. And no rush because I'm still keeping my fingers crossed for some steeper Paradox discounts from Steam.

Ugh, missed dead island GOTY. Was busy flying cross country and catching up with a few friends before they leave town. Too many deals to keep track of!

Anyway, if anyone happened to have bought an extra dead island code, I'd be happy to paypal you for it. PM me

Keep in mind most of these same deals will probably cycle back around a month from now when Steam has their Holiday sale.

Hey Tony, the GTA IV Complete + La Noire Complete + GTA San Andreas pack, are these all steam redeemable, including GTA4: EFLC? EFLC has "download" instead of "Game code" like the others.

If anyone wants GTA4 Complete and GTA San Andreas, PM me. I just want LA Noire.

Hi Tony! How many of the Sonic games activate on Steam? Also, will the Mass Effect Trilogy also be available for $19.99 retail? Thank you!

Max Payne 3 for $20 is a little higher than I want to spend. I think I may wait and see how much I spend this weekend before committing.

Yep those are all Steam versions.

Cheers,
Tony

Is the max Payne 3 bundle on the first page steam redeemable? I thought you had mentioned previously that there would be two different versions.

Just bought the GTA IV Complete + La Noire Complete + GTA San Andreas-Bundle.
Thank you very much for this great deal! :bouncy:

I got an e-mail saying that my purchase comes with a 5$ credit, but it doesn't show up on my balance in my Amazon-account.
I have read of such "problems" here, do i have the credit although it doesn't show up?

Also, can you tell me what's the deal with this GameShield-DRM that comes with LA Noire?

Thanks in advance

with kindest regards

Im srry but can some one tell me ,is there anyway to activate Dead Island Goty On steam. I heard it only activate on US steam. Region locked for other countries :(

There was no mention at all for Transformers: Fall of Cybertron $29.99 deal :applause:

That reminds me how dumb I was getting it for $50 as a pre-order and still keeping it in my Steam inventory till this moment :whistle2:#

You're in luck. It's one of the new flash deals on Steam. $6.79 for the next 12 hours.
Max Payne 3 + DLC for $20!? That's hard to pass up.
Enjoy that 30GB download. :applause:

that would take me possibly 24 hours on my DSL wired connection.

I just upgraded to cable not too long ago. 30 GB would take maybe 2 hours or so. Thankfully.

I do have to watch that I don't overshoot my data cap though.

below where it breaks down the games in the bundle has a blurb stating
"$5 promotional credit good towards any of the "Editor's Choice" game downloads in the month of January 2013. "

What happened to Kingdoms of Amalur Complete? I can't find the link anymore. I thought it would go on sale along with the ME and Dragon Age bundles. I've been trying to decide what I would even get that I don't have and it's boiled down to that since my only other options are DLC.

I'm really getting tired of DLC. I know it's optional, but when I'm ready to buy it would be cool if it went on sale as frequently as the base game. I also get annoyed when complete editions come out and the DLC never goes on sale again.

Ahh, I didn't see the link! Thanks! :)

I like how the $5 promo implies time travel - or maybe it's good now...

It is our pleasure to let you know that you have earned a $5 credit toward the purchase of select game downloads starting 1/1/2013 and good through 1/31/2012.

Can you get Amazon to match Steam's sale price for Nail'd? It's $2.50.

Ugh!
Why are you doing this? You also sell Non-Steam versions!

Some people (like myself) don't really want to deal w/ 3 DRM's layers in the Steam Version, you know (Steam + Rockstar Social Club + GameShield IronWrap).
2 layers on Non-Steam Edition is more than enough, thanks (Rockstar Social Club + GameShield IronWrap).

Then also throw in the fact this game takes up around 35 GB (not counting the DLC), yeah...that'll be a lengthy download.

So lost interest in this deal.

@Tony
Do you know the DRM in ALL 12 of the games in tomorrow's $25 Sonic Action Pack?

I know Sonic Generations & its DLC & Sonic The Hedgehog 4: Episode 1 + 2 require Steam...
...But what about the others?
11/23-11/24:

Sonic Action Pack: $24.99 contains:

1. Sonic & Sega All Stars Racing
2. Sonic 3 & Knuckles
3. Sonic 3D Blast
4. Sonic Adventure DX
5. Sonic CD
6. Sonic Generations Casino Nights DLC
7. Sonic Generations
8. Sonic The Hedgehog 4 Episode 1
9. Sonic The Hedgehog 4 Episode 2
10. Sonic The Hedgehog
11. Sonic The Hedgehog 2
12. Sonic Spinball
Can anyone confirm if Civ 4 CE activates the mac and win version like Civ 5?
If it's the same one they sold a few months ago, it does. I have both versions activated on my steam account from a bundle I purchased on Amazon.

When do these sales start? I really want Borderlands 2 and I can't pass it up for $30, but I am sure it will sell out fast.

Look for THAT above SteamPlay symbol on any of those Steam-activated games on the game's Steam page.
If that SteamPlay symbol is there - it'll give you both Win & Mac Versions.

So all the Max Payne 3 DLC is for multiplayer? At least that is what it looks like from the Rockstar page. I guess I will pass then because non of my friends have enjoyed the multiplayer so far so I highly doubt I would play it much.

So far, Season Pass DLC has been all MP-related for Max Payne 3.
I don't know if the rest of the season will be all MP-related, though.

So tempted on Borderlands 2, Crysis Max Max Pack and the Batman Pack. Can anyone clear up this $5 credit thing I've been hearing about though? I remember hearing about it in February of this year too, but i wasn't around last year for the sale where it took place so I'm a little confused.

Thanks for all the amazing deals Tony! :D

Based on my experience from Jan 2012's awesome Best Sellers Of 2011 sale...

In January 2013, the Best Sellers of 2012 List will appear on Amazon's site somewhere (and Tony will push the hell out of it in this thread).
These are the game where that $5 coupon can be used.

IIRC - these deals can often change, shift, rotate & move every week in Jan 2013.
Put Max Payne for $10 without the stupid season pass and we have a deal. Isn't online dead for that game anyway?
No clue for MP3 MP.

BTW - Max Payne 3 PC download (base game only) = $15 on GreenManGaming

I know Tony doesn't match International Deals, but there's his competition...
Looks like it uses their GMG Capsule Program just for the download, not Steam.

Of course - Max Payne 3 PC always requires for DRM both Rockstar Social Club & GameShield IronWrap everywhere.
Put Max Payne for $10 without the stupid season pass and we have a deal. Isn't online dead for that game anyway?
I'm sure you could find someone with the base game willing to split the cost with you.

Does the GTA IV Complete + LA Noire Complete + GTA San Andreas have all Steam keys?

The games all say "Online Game Code" except "Episodes from Liberty City". Does it have a Steam key? Does the GTA IV key just include the DLC?
