Amazon has teamed up with our launch partners to bring Amazon customers exclusive content and bonus offers for the opening of the Free to Play store. Here is some of the cool stuff you'll get just for linking your Amazon account with a game account:


Super MNC: Customers who link their Amazon account with a Super MNC account will receive an exclusive Team Spirit Assault Rifle. This weapon for the Assault Pro has a unique, team colored, metal barrel shroud and is only available through Amazon.




Stronghold Kingdoms: Customers who link their Amazon accounts with a Stronghold Kingdoms account will receive a starter pack valued at $10. This pack includes: 10 packs of strategy cards (50 cards), 100 card points, and a 7 day premium token (7 days of Premium).

I live in Canada so I've only checked Canadian stores, it had been $50 everywhere as recently as E3 when I pre-ordered it at Best Buy. I'm only talking about physical retail disc btw. I just checked Amazon.ca and EBgames.ca and its $60 at both. They raised the price I guess.
 
For those who adopted Plentiful Paradox Pack from earlier sales, possible to swap for a steam key for those games that do not have steam key?
 
Awesome lineup Tony, can't wait for the sale to start. I'll be buying Borderlands GOTY and Max Payne 3, thinking about the 2k shooter pack and several other items. You keep the Steam-redeemable games coming at competitive prices, I'll keep buying them :)

Borderlands and DNF are Steam. Amazon has Steam Bioshock 1+2, but they also have DRM free Bioshock as a different purchase. Presumably the whole bundle will be Steam.

Is there any chance that those of us who haven't downloaded Victoria II/SotS Collection and haven't even viewed their product keys yet be able to exchange them for their Steam Keys?

I really do hope you're able to work something out, and appreciate your hard work on getting more and more Steam versions of games. While I understand what happened and how they couldn't give you Steam Keys originally; it does, for me personally, still leaves a bad taste in my mouth that I bought it when I did (since I would've preferred Steam versions and now they're all Steam keys).

That isn't vanilla Duke Nukem Forever. It's the complete pack which includes two DLCs. So that two $5 games, one $7.50 games that also includes all DLC, and another complete pack that when last on sales added up to $10. That's $27.50 all for just $20.

Cheaper than that would be even cheaper that they've been on sale individually.
 
Tony I was wondering if there was any chance that Majesty Gold HD could be added standalone to the sale and not in a pack? I have bought several of the games already in the packs and I do not want everything else in the packs and would greatly appreciate it if this was possible.

On a side note I have to say this is my first post on CAG but I have been following your posts and the amazon PCDD threads since December of last year when i discovered it and I just want to commend you for all of the amazing work you have done.

Thanks, Newegg just sent out an email which contains a code that takes off $10 on preorders $39.99 and up, which brings Borderlands 2 PC preorder to $39.99.

Guys, that price is nuts and if you see it for cheaper I'd be shocked. We most def won't have it for $39.99 on the digital side so if you're waiting to see that from us, I'd use the coupon. Don't want you to make a purchase decision you're unhappy with because I'm ambiguous.

Can you confirm that the Majesty Gold in the Paradox packs is the "HD" version? I have the standard version on disc, but I've read it can have lots of issues with Win7. Thanks.

Hey there, sorry I missed this, DOA won't make it into the bundle, we've already got it made.

This decision was based on sales velocity around the last DOA sale, we had it for 55% off like 2 weeks after launch and it didn't perform nearly as well as we thought it would, so I didn't focus on it for the bundle.

Are the two Warlock DLCs (Power of the Serpent and Powerful Lords) going to be included in any of the Paradox packs?

Edit: I guess not if the packs have already been assembled. That's alright though, they're pretty cheap to start and they'll be on sale somewhere eventually.

Hey Tony, thanks much for your honesty, its nice to see someone on the business side of things being honest about their competition as to encourage their customers to go with the best deal as possible. This is something I used to do when I was working in any type of setting that involved sales, I'd try to do the same and its nice to know I'm not the only one that does that. Yeah, pretty surprised you got their ok on this. Thanks for going the extra mile for all the folks here and thanks to Paradox as well for being understanding since I know a ton of folks here love their stuff on Steam even though I prefer DRM free myself.

I haven't activated my Victoria II or Sword of the Stars Complete yet from the pack, but how would a Steam Key re-issue work?

Will definitely pick up some stuff from your July sale.

The way the re-issue will work is we'll send the email associated with your amazon.com account an email with the steam codes in it.

Steps to completion:

1. Need to get the Vicky2 and SOTS keys from Paradox, likely to happen by Tuesday.

2. Need to get our CS team to build and send the email - likely to happen by Tuesday.


I'll let you know about any delays.

The way that's worded, I get the impression that this premiere club is not exclusive to the 3 retailers on that page. I don't see that being stated, unless I missed it. They just say pre-order any edition to receive the bonus. They do state that a different bonus is Gamestop-exclusive.

I have no words...I have run out of adjectives to describe how awesome this is, I remember how big a deal getting Steam keys was back when this deal ran the first time, and you said you tried but it wasn't in the cards. Then you added games to the pack, as well as sent discounts to those who had already bought the original pack. Now your still looking out for those who bought the original pack with Steam keys. Hey thanks man :).

My boss checks the forums from time to time so he sees this kind of stuff, which is awesome.

Even better, winning the CAG community award was a huge kudos that our Director brings up at the VP level every now and then as well, which is really cool.

That kind of recognition by you guys, combined with our sales just continuing to rock really provide all the positive feedback I need.

If you want to continue to support the cause, the best way to do so would be to just keep on keepin' on. The word of mouth marketing across the internet provided by you guys is invaluable.

I know CAG isn't the best place to talk about Pre-orders and new releases but that is a big part of my focus this year as well, moving units and excitement around new product like Borderlands 2, COD Black Ops 2, etc. if you know people that aren't as CAGGY and pre-order, tell them Amazon is a good place to do it from :).

I'm hoping that means either late this evening or sometime over the weekend.

Shouldn't be later than Monday though :).
