Pre-Order Borderlands 2 from us for 10% off and help me get a tattoo! Yes it activates on Steam!

I am a huge Borderlands 2 fan and I want this to be our best selling pre-order ever. So I've drawn a line in the sand. If, from now until launch, we take 40,000 more preorders than where we were on 7/2/2012 I will get a Borderlands tattoo on my back.

Thanks for pming the space pirates price, this is way better than downloading yet another download application for one game.
I believe that if you buy it from Amazon, register on Steam, it then gives you 25% off American Nightmare on Steam because you then have it on Steam ...Amazon doesnt carry american nightmare yet...at least I dont believe so....again this is essentially the same deal but all activated on Steam
FWIW I bought Alan Wake on Amazon a little while back and I can confirm the 25% promo for New American Nightmare shows for me on Steam.

I personally don't see GOG having any upper hand. I think the whole DRM free vs Steam is a very polarizing thing and people already have their minds made up so that pricing being fairly comparable, people will just go with their preference.
Probably worth mentioning that Alan Wake: GOG Version ($15 right now) has ALMOST ALL of the Collector's Ed content.
The In-Game Commentary, Alan Wake Files Digital PDF, and Both DLC's [Signal & Writer] are all there..

Only thing missing from the Alan Wake: GOG Version is The Soundtrack.
And GOG said there will be more "extras" coming on the page - so, if Soundtrack does get added, I'll let cha know.

GOG also gives you PDF Manual; 7 Writer in the Cabin videos; 9 Night Spring Episode vids; Making of the game vids; wallpapers.

Just so Amazon DVG knows what the heck they're competing against...
And in case Amazon DVG might want parity w/ the GOG Version...
Sound like the GoG version has more then. I guess I will go with GoG :) Thanks MysterD

Even though we know the real advantage of DRM-FREE [no need to activate online, you just install and go...]

..Let's just forget the DRM-FREE thing for a moment.
Let's look again at the content and pricing...

Alan Wake: GOG version is giving you almost the Alan Wake CE for $15.
What's missing here on GOG Version is The Soundtrack currently.
[I have a funny feeling, some of the extra goodies we'll be getting soon might be the Soundtrack. If it comes to GOG, I'll say something...]
They are also giving you a few other things - see my post #2379 in this thread on this.

Alan Wake: Standard Ed on Steam is $15 on Steam and has less extras [at that price] than GOG's Version at $15.
You'll have Steam Achievements there.
You'll have full-fledged Steam support/integration.
If you want the whole Alan Wake CE, it's $17.49 on Steam.
The real advantage of the Alan Wake CE there on Steam is they have the soundtrack on there right now.

MysterD no matter how much you preach the virtues of DRM free I am not buying what you are selling. I am glad it makes some people happy but it is just not for me in all but absolute last resort have no other choice doesn't exist at all on Steam or Desura cases. (ex: Gray Matter)

Extras don't mean much to me. I almost never use them. Also I am willing to pay a premium to a point to get a game on Steam. If a game is a bit more expensive on Steam than DRM free then I will always still opt for Steam. If it's way more expensive on Steam I will just wait for a sale.

Again, you don't have to get it and that's okay. Like I said, it's a polarizing thing that people are generally strongly divided into camps over. Democrat vs Republican, Religion vs Atheism, Chocolate vs Vanilla. :p So is Steam vs DRM Free.

You can say whatever you like but I simply will never, ever prefer DRM free when the option for Steam exists for the same game.

I have nothing to say about the Steam vs DRM argument because I buy games from any service without regard. I just wanted to comment that your post made me happy and sad all at once. Your dog looks just like my dog that just passed away from cancer and seeing that picture reminded me of him. Beautiful dog, btw. What breed? Mine was a chow-chow and german shepherd mix.

Wow RCT3P actually won! It's a great little game and there's loads of content there. I bought it from Amazon back in the winter for that price with the coupon.

I'm guessing Dungeon Defenders lost because it's in that indie bundle. Otherwise it probably would have been DD all the way.

He's an Australian Shepherd.

Sorry to hear about your loss. :whistle2:( My dogs are still fairly young at 3 and 4 but I will be devastated when they pass. I just became a dog owner again a few years back after not having had one since I was growing up as a child. They are great companions. I just wish they had a longer lifespan.

I was counting down the days till I could finally buy RTC3. Bought as soon as I woke up, great deal =). Love any simulation style game, although Tropico 4 right now is giving me trouble with crashes.
Thread is glitched for me. Showing the "phantom next page" behavior.
It isn't a glitch. It simply comes from deleted posts that are no longer visible to non-mod/admin users. The number of posts are correct - you just can't see them all.

The problem would be resolved if the posts weren't soft-deleted.

For sure, MAYHEM starts mid-week next week, still locking down whether or not it will be Wednesday or Thursday.

I do buy from Steam and many OTHER places (Gamersgate, GameFly, Amazon DVG, GameStop PC App, Origin)...
But, I'll take DRM-FREE Version normally over the Steam version, if given the chance.

Steam vs. DRM-FREE - they ALL do have their pro's and con's.
I've been through some of them, throughout the last few pages of the thread.

A lot of where I buy has to w/ price-point; timing; DRM [if there is any]; what other versions of the game are out there; etc etc.

Which Serious Sam games you guys selling next week?
Serious Sam 3: BFE maybe?
Do you have the Serious Same 3: BFE - Deluxe Edition that Steam is selling?

I already own Serious Sam 2 from Retail;
Ssrious Sam HD: First Encounter + Second Encounter on Steam.

I recall the mention of a Serious Sam 3 4-pack for 29.99 I think ($7.49 a pop).
What about a 1-pack?
Edit:
I double checked and confirmed that Tony said there'd be a 4 pack for 30. No mention of a single pack. I think your best bet would be going in on a four pack with some other CAGs.

We don't have the deluxe edition, I don't think we'll get it by Sunday either. I'll ask though.
Dammit Tony; you owe me $5. :whistle2:(

(More than that actually, but I'm being fair.)
Lol why?
What about a 1-pack?
This is correct, all of the games will have a 4-pack with deeper than 75% off per unit pricing as well.
I think the 1 pack will be on sale too but at a slightly higher price (but still lower than any other place has offered it).

If this is true, then I'll be getting this for me and my friend. Anyone else want in?
This is accurate, the single versions will be 75% off, 4-packs will be deeper. So SS 3 BFE will be $9.99, or $29.99 in a 4-pack.

Cheers,
Tony
MAYhem starts next week :) more details to come.

Man, just the hint of games being 75% off and most games having 4-packs at a higher discount is enough info for me.

I anticipate going in on a few group buys and possibly buying extras of certain games to "gift" AKA force friends to play with me...lol

One of the other offers I'm pretty excited about is Payday: The Heist for $4.99...or $14.99 for the 4-pack, especially since the new content just came out for the game. I think customers are really going to dig it.

We'll also have some AWESOME deals for our MMO crowd..I just know that not many of you are in that crowd.

Cheers,
Tony

Oh and if you purchase ANY of the games in the Serious Sam deal you'll get $1.50 off the $4.99 DLC just announced for Serious Sam HD: The second encounter that was just announced.

Before anyone asks. Those who buy 4 packs will only get 1 coupon, we couldn't get our system to spit out 4 for only a limited selection set. We tried, and there is an engineer who now hates me lol.

Cheers,
Tony

I picked up PayDay when you guys had it for 4.99 earlier and it is an absolute blast, even though I can't beat the bridge level no matter how hard I try. The four pack will definitely be on my radar for gifting and I recommend PayDay to everyone.

already had payday many times at that price :(

hope something interesting is on sale next week. (I hope it starts Sunday because next week is Diablo 3 week, not going to look at other games for a while!)

Not to quibble but Payday has been $4.99 once before...through us. Steam had it the week after for a bit more, I remember because we PMed it, people got upset, and we had a several page long discussion about it.

As for the other deals, Serious Sam starts Sunday and the rest will start after D3 comes out, just a heads up.

Cheers,

Actually I think you more than PM'd it....correct me if im wrong but it was 7.50 with you guys and 9.99 with Steam...not to quibble but you were selling yourself short ;)

Yeah there is a ton of other stuff on the plate, Last Remnant fans should be excited, same thing with Hitman fans.

We'll have the best deal yet on Mirror's Edge+Alice: Madness Returns and we'll be revisiting Crusader Kings II at an even better price than before.

Yeah, actually it was $7.50 for about 4 hours, then we moved it to $4.99 because we asked Sony if we could just go back to our previous week's pricing and they said "OK".

Another case of, "I buy too many games."
I already have The Last Remnant on Steam!

I have every Hitman game since Hitman 2 from Retail.
Actually, I am only missing HItman: Codename 47 [the original], actually.

We'll have the best deal yet on Mirror's Edge+Alice: Madness Returns and we'll be revisiting Crusader Kings II at an even better price than before.
Already own Mirror's Edge and Alice: Madness Returns.

I highly recommend everybody buys Mirror's Edge, BTW.
I am so hoping DICE does Mirror's Edge 2.
