As of today, Amazon.com will be offering Free to Play and MMO games that you can purchase virtual goods, currencies, and subscriptions for on Amazon.com. These purchases will be delivered directly into your game account. We're calling this new service Game Connect.

Amazon has teamed up with our launch partners to bring Amazon customers exclusive content and bonus offers for the opening of the Free to Play store. Here is some of the cool stuff you'll get just for linking your Amazon account with a game account:


Super MNC: Customers who link their Amazon account with a Super MNC account will receive an exclusive Team Spirit Assault Rifle. This weapon for the Assault Pro has a unique, team colored, metal barrel shroud and is only available through Amazon.




Stronghold Kingdoms: Customers who link their Amazon accounts with a Stronghold Kingdoms account will receive a starter pack valued at $10. This pack includes: 10 packs of strategy cards (50 cards), 100 card points, and a 7 day premium token (7 days of Premium).

Which of the four $4.99 EA racing titles would you guys recommend? The last NFS I liked was Most Wanted. I'd like something like that, or something that is just overall the best to play.
 
Definitely get Hot Pursuit. The other ones are kinda meh, except Burnout. It's different than NFS but probably the most fun racing game in existence. I also agree that Most Wanted is the best Need for Speed game yet.
 
Bought Hot Pursuit today (first amazon download purchase ever) and I had a pretty good experience. The install was painless and the game runs well with my ps3 controller through motionjoy.

Thanks for all your amazing work! I am a faithful Amazon customer because of their great prices and more importantly the great customer service. I've never had a problem with CS (or really needed to contact them) but the work you do on CAG in reaching out and working with the community is just great.

I just have a few simple questions that maybe you can help me with, regarding the Sims 3 downloads.

1. Repeating a question I saw asked a few pages back: will there ever be a Sims 3 bundle sale? I remember seeing one this past winter, although I can't remember if it was Amazon or Origin, I believe it was the latter. I'm not sure what the total price of that was, but you probably matched or beat it with this sale anyways, but I'm just wondering.

2. About the Sims 3 Pets download. Does this include the "limited edition" content? I am not sure if LE was even available for downloaded versions of the game. I have seen it listed elsewhere in download versions descriptions, but couldn't say if it was actually present in the game. LE includes an in-game store that sells unique items.

3. Just a general question about usability- how does installing Sims 3 and expansions on TWO PCs work with the download verisons? With the disks you could install on two computers, but would need to insert the disk to start the game. For instance, I want to install on my desktop, but would also like to install on a laptop. Do you (or anyone) know if this is possible or how it works? I'm trying to figure out if I could play on both computers (not at the same time) without having to purchase each game/expansion twice heh.

side story: I have been waiting a looong time on a deal such as this and hope to jump on it soon. What I am actually doing is building my girlfriend a desktop computer with more gaming power (just finishing as this deal comes along- what a great coincidence). She loves the Sims 3, but her laptop isn't the greatest at gaming. So I would like to gift her the complete Sims 3 franchise and a new gaming pc to enjoy the best gameplay possible- although she would still be using her laptop most of the time as she's often out and about.

I was watching the Sims 3 stuff too. All I saw as far as a bundle of sorts was the Sims 3 Deluxe, which just has Ambitions as well. Guess that really isn't a bundle. :\

The sales looked pretty good, but I'm gonna hold off on Sims 3 until I actually have a rig that will run it well. Hopefully there will be an even better Sims 3 sale a few months down the line!
 
It is likely too new for a sale but you guys have had excellent success at getting Paradox games discounted. Any chance for a Warlock Master of the Arcane sale? I already purchased it on steam but I am looking for some more giveaway fodder.

I don't even think they've done a full bundle for Sims 2 yet and that game is pretty old at this point. They are still releasing expansions and packs for Sims 3 so I wouldn't hold my breath on a full bundle, but there may be some more alternate bundles (ie the base game and 1 or 2 expansions or stuff packs) in the future.

In any case, I don't think that is something up to Amazon but rather EA and EA does not seem to be selling any large Sims 3 bundles at this point anywhere. I think the best you can hope for is just getting good sale prices on the base games and whatever add ons you want.

I'm interested in a Civ 5 with wizards Warlock: Master of the Arcane sale as well, but it's really new and I won't be shocked if it doesn't make the sale this time around.

Personally, I went with Hot Pursuit because I already have Burnout for PS3 and from what I've read the pc version is incomplete, missing DLC, and from what I've seen of Shift it looks more like a racing sim, which I hate. I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong. :lol:

Yeah, I'd also recommend Hot Pursuit. The PC version of Burnout Paradise lacks DLC that the console versions have, and the online is nearly dead from what I've heard.. might as well get it for PS3/360.

The expansion only adds 3 teams, and I honestly doubt many people will pick it up if they already have the Legendary version with its 21 teams. There are indeed still numerous bugs in the game, but given the complex ruleset and gameplay, that isn't surprising. I wouldn't consider any of the existing bugs truly game breaking, and most of them, the typical player would never realize.

$10 for Legendary provides a ton of gameplay opportunities, especially if you can get a league going with your friends.

There won't be, we'll continue to test multi packs, but the past few we've run haven't been big enough to merit pursuing them aggressively.

I bought Shift 2 and I wanted to know which DLC do I get for it since I bought it from amazon but I redeemed it and downloaded it from Origin.
 
Regarding Sims 3, I purchased it when it was bundled during the last Sims 3 sale on Amazon. All the games activate on Origin and I have no trouble at all playing the game on 2 different computers at the same time.

Does anyone know if the Sims 3 Pets download includes the LE content? I know that it was available through the download version, but wasn't sure if it was all DL's or if it's unavailable now?
 
I just got my first amazon digital title, divinity 2. Thanks Tony. I doubt I would have noticed if not for your work on CAG. Whats the date for Crusader Kings 2? I read the last couple pages, but I am not bright. Thanks
 
When does the sale for Borderlands GOTY end? And with Borderlands 2 coming out rather soon, do you see this being on sale again (perhaps for a better price) around the time the second one comes out, Tony?

I usually don't post about price drops but I just bought this for $29.99 because I couldn't find anyone for a two pack and now it drops to $17.99. SCMoney are you seeing this.

I have sympathy for you man, that is a crazy drop from one week to another, especially when the original was presented as a sale/great price. I'm thinking EA didn't sell as many copies at 29.99 as they expected, but it definitely makes people think twice about purchasing things. Maybe you can ask for a refund or get a price match through amazon cs.

Lol you guys have no faith :).

I've already got all the people who purchased at the higher price point in the system and queued up to refund you the difference for what you paid :).

EA was adamant that we do this before promoting deeper on the 26th. Sorry for not including in my original post, it has been a crazy day.

Thanks for putting X-Com on sale...the news of the new X-Com release date today gave me a hankering for some old X-Com play, and this certainly will do the trick.

Perhaps a deal with the Collectors Edition of the new X-Com is in the works? ;)
