Pre-Order Borderlands 2 from us for 10% off and help me get a tattoo! Yes it activates on Steam!

I am a huge Borderlands 2 fan and I want this to be our best selling pre-order ever. So I've drawn a line in the sand. If, from now until launch, we take 40,000 more preorders than where we were on 7/2/2012 I will get a Borderlands tattoo on my back.

Origin.
With Origin-required games - copy your entire game folder where it is installed as is. An Installer folder is within the game folder, if you need to reinstall a game - so you'd make sure you'd run that on a reinstall.
I read directions on this somewhere, you were supposed to copy the backed up game folder into your Origin games folder and then just run the game from it's icon in the Origin client and that would get it all set up and installed.

Nevermind. I misread the dates. Thanks!

How's Shogun 2? I'm on the fence about it, but I'm not sure if it's too complex or hard for me. I'm not a really big Strategy fan outside of Civilization, which I really enjoy.

There's a DEMO of Shogun 2 on STEAM; although I think it's 5 GB.

Just to show Tony and Amazon that if you take care of us we will keep buying (even if you swore to yourself you wouldn't because of your backlog :shame:).

Anyone interested in splitting a Paradox Bundle? I only want the Magicka codes. PM me if you don't want the Magicka stuff and like Paypal, Amazon gift cards, or possibly a game/code trade (extremely limited selection, though).

I've been thinking about 'hosting' a pack for that and I wouldn't want the Magicka stuff but I'd need someone to take Sword of the Stars 2 off my hands, also, before I pulled the trigger. So, if anyone wants that, let me know~

Lol people will still ask, mark my words.

Gah, I was relatively stoked about Front Mission Evolved, but I just pop on eBay and a physical copy is cheaper brand new there... Thought this was a better price; oh well. >_<

Question: Anyone here here with a relatively cruddy computer with integrated graphics have any luck playing Divinity 2? For that price I'm really thinking about it, but it's hard to tell if I'll be able to play it well.

If you have Steam, there's a demo of it there you could download to see how it runs on your machine.

I hear ebay and STEAM games can be a bad combo. [heard STEAM doesn't accept receipts from "auction sites" if ownership of a game is called into question].

The price difference for the game is minimal on ebay. I'd go amazon all the way personally unless the price difference was huge.

I used to only buy retail PC games exclusively, but it was a lot of clutter and a lot more hassle.

For one, PC game boxes always tend to be bulky for no reason (though with DVDs they are getting better now) and also for two, unless you bought the game at launch, it usually always involved hunting down some sort of patch or something to get it to work. Once I realize retail prices (even at half price books and big lots) were higher than digital sales it was game over for me. Now I can go onto steam, amazon, or wherever from any computer in any part of the country and DL and play my games on a whim.

I couldn't find it anywhere on ebay cheaper than amazon.

Where did you find it?

I think he meant the Amazon digital download version is more expensive than the physical copies on ebay.

EDIT: You're right, most of them don't seem to be cheaper on ebay.. but Amazon is selling the physical copies for less, so I don't see a reason to buy the download version.

Where are you seeing this? I see them all around the same price about $10

http://www.ebay.com/ctg/Front-Missi...ksid=p5360.c0.m312&LH_BIN=1&_sop=15&_sticky=1

The ones under $10 are charging $2.99 shipping.

I honestly don't know anyone who gets Steam games off of eBay. To me it's not worth risking that even a "new" described item might have the key used. Not to mention you are sitting around waiting for a box that just gives you a code that you have to plug into Steam to download the game anyway.

At the risk of pissing someone off again, I think that dealing with eBay is a console person's mentality and makes more sense there than it does for (newer) PC games.

I'd also rather pay a few more dollars for a key from a reputable dealer with good customer service. I do know some people who buy games from those grey market Steam key resellers online but I don't mess with them either.
I hear ebay and STEAM games can be a bad combo. [heard STEAM doesn't accept receipts from "auction sites" if ownership of a game is called into question].
That really shouldn't be an issue with a boxed copy on eBay. If it really is new then there won't be a problem with the key.

The problem with auction sites is when the keys are illegal or gotten through shady means.

That wouldn't happen with a boxed copy, though. Likely just with an emailed code.

Really loving these awesome deals AND that you are offering Steam versions when available. Top notch effort by Amazon to make things easy for the customer!

Yup boxed copies should be fine. I got 5 boxes copies of prey off eBay for 10 bucks. I gave a few to people here actually. No issues with any of them

You'll never have issues with a boxed copy of a game on eBay. If it ends up not working you'll get your money back; eBay favors the buyer in every circumstance.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Front-Missi...8077?pt=Video_Games_Games&hash=item4ab4bcbd8d

Not much cheaper, but the only reason I jump on sales here (I have bought a LOT of these sales, trust me) is because the price is considerably cheaper than a hard copy elsewhere. Sorry, but digital should always be cheaper in the first place because 1. no materials are needed to produce it, and 2. there is no shipping to account for. Also, I'm only going to pull the trigger on something if it's a price you're not going to be able to find again soon. There's really no reason to jump on a "one day sale" at a price that is more than a hard copy. Front Mission Evolved just isn't worth it this time around here.

I appreciate the ease and reliability of digital, but I still appreciate having a hard copy of something. I'll hold out for a $5 or $7 price point on that one; just disappointed with the $10 price.

Might be kinda late to do so considering that it's only on sale for a couple more hours, but the link for Last Remnant needs to be fixed.

Went ahead and got Mass Effect 3. Was going to get it from Origin the day before but found Amazon had it a few bucks cheaper. Would have gone for the digital deluxe version if it came with a sound track or something, but as it stands it seems like a waste of extra money for some PDFs and in game unlocks.

Except with a Steam game you aren't truly getting a hard copy. You are getting a box with a code inside . Everything is tied to the key and your Steam account and you will have to connect to Steam and download the game regardless. If you don't have access to your Steam account a disc won't do you any good.

I'm not going to criticize someone for waiting for a cheaper price or comparison shopping, that's part of being a CAG. I just don't see a practical reason for a boxed cop of a Steam game unless it's a lower price or CE content. The game itself is completely tied to the service so any boxed copy as far as I am concerned is more of a gift certificate than a true hard copy of a game.

For what it's worth, I bought the digital deluxe from Amazon at launch and got a soundtrack when I redeemed it on Origin.
