Hello.

There's a problem with the 2K Strategy Pack, Amazon.com is selling two 2K Strategy Pack that are exactly the same except I bought the one that has no Steam activation keys. I wanted to buy the one with Steam activation keys, what do I do now?

My best pickup this year from Amazon was probably Divinity II: DKS. You guys patched out the hardware DRM and put it on such a huge sale when it was still a relatively new title.

Edit: Can you confirm or deny if it's the core game? I'd hate to have "Better deal" be a bundle with other games I didn't want but at 80% off.

My best buy was the Dragon Age pack for 10 bucks. Although the download/install/dlc was a bit frustrating, 10 bucks is a steal. Especially Dragon Age Origins, playing that game and it's great. I wasn't expecting Dragon Age to be spectacular, but it's definitely surprised me.

My dream is to save a few bucks on a bundle with its massive amounts of DLC or at least the season pass. Unfortunately i'm one of the few that have to pay tax too so sadly that adds to my equation.

Do you have anymore of the DLC packs for SR3?

My favorite pickup so far has honestly been Max Payne 3, I was hesitant at $30 but it is FANTASTIC.

The Dragon Age bundle was pretty awesome too though.
 
I have faith in Tony. I'll wait for the Amazon SR3 discount. I bet it'll be a great price if the discounts in the past have been any indication. Could be anything from 80%-90% off. I don't know how Amazon does it, but they beat Steam prices like crazy.
 
The only DLC worth buying is the season pass, which Amazon does carry. The rest are new clothing or vehicles or whatever; no new content. The season pass is new content though.

If Tony can get SRTT base game + season pass for $15 or less, that'd make me really happy.

Will you have package/bundle deal similar to the franchise pack that includes all the DLC like Steam has? If you could beat Steam's franchise pack I'd be greatly interested.. Otherwise I might pass on the base game alone, I'm waiting on a pack deal.
 
The SRTT franchise pack with all the DLC is on Steam for $25 for a few hours. I'm going to pass, because there's too much fluff DLC in it to justify the additional $6 over just the base game plus season pass.

Seconding this thought.

I don't doubt that you guys can beat Steam on the base game price, but the DLC is the possible dealbreaker here! Both in the sense of the season pass and/or the rest of the cosmetic dlc!
 
Jumped the gun and brought SR3 before the franchise sale was even up; now hoping amazon does just discount the season pass for 75% or something to make up for it.

Not trying to build hype on this SRTT deal just letting you know why we aren't matching. We will have the base game for 24 hours for at least the same price but I'm pushing for $9.99. The reason we aren't mattching is because $9.99 looks more likely than.not but if we match now we preclude ourselves from that deal.

If $12.49 on Steam sounds like a good deal feel free to grab it now, we will have at least the same for 24 hours with a strong possibility of $9.99. That is the current 100% transparent situation.

I know I'm not in the industry... Wouldn't now be a pretty good time to start promoting the next game in the series and maybe even taking pre-orders on Saints Row 4? It's been announced... Well, strangely announced. A stand-alone expansion for Saints Row 3 was canceled with a message that the content would be incorporated into the next Saints Row game.

So now, with the excellent Saints Row 3 finding it's way into a lot of homes at a good price this week... Really, doesn't that seem like a good time for some screen shots and a trailer for the next one?

Not really directed at you, Tony. You're doing a great job and being mobbed with enough questions already. Get some rest sometime.

Judging by the responses:

If you just want the base game only and (possibly) save a couple bucks and change more, then wait for amazon. If not steam for 12.50.

If you want the entire game + dlc (minus 1 that was recently released), then get the steam 25 dollar pack NOW!

!00% unofficial opinion of course ;) This looks like how things will be though.

Well, this explains why I suddenly have 10+ new pages of posts to read through. :lol:

Best pickup I've actually had time to play: Civ V. Bought it in January for $4 (after coupon). First DD game I'd ever bought from Amazon, but clearly not the last. (EDIT: Nope, it was the second. I bought JC2 for $2.49 in December, which must be where the coupon came from.)

Best pickup I'm looking forward to playing: Crusader Kings 2. Bought it in one of the Pick a Peck of Paradox Packs. (Hey, that name might work for the inevitable Christmas sales...)
 
On the short term: The Square-Enix pack for $7.50 - Just Cause 2 alone has chewed up 30 hours, and Lara Croft is always fun.

On the long term: The Paradox Pack for $20 - because I will probably sink hundreds upon hundreds of hours into the various strategy games. I even bought a second set of the $7.50 deal just to give away so others can get hooked.

Best pickup was Max Payne 3.

Looks amazing with my GTX 670 and 1440P monitor.

Story was better than I expected and gameplay was great. Flew through the campaing and will get into multiplayer this weekend.

Square Enix pack a close second. Haven't got around to all of the games but just cause 2 a fun time waster and looks great to boot.

I'm passing on all the Steam Sale DLC because it's cheaper for me to re-buy the entire game (note, Steam will not let me re-buy the game) + DLC for cheaper than it is to just buy the DLC. I'd rebuy the few pieces I have if the entire pack were a good price. I'd love to give Amazon my money for an all-in DLC pack at a good price.

Nobody wants my money. :(
