Pre-Order Borderlands 2 from us for 10% off and help me get a tattoo! Yes it activates on Steam!

I am a huge Borderlands 2 fan and I want this to be our best selling pre-order ever. So I've drawn a line in the sand. If, from now until launch, we take 40,000 more preorders than where we were on 7/2/2012 I will get a Borderlands tattoo on my back.

I agree custom bundling would be LEGIT. Unfortunately that tech isn't built yet :(. I was looking more for opinions.

Cheers,
Tony
Understandable. Well, as far as opinions go you probably know by now I'd love to see Warlock and Defenders of Ardania in a Paradox bundle. Since Saints Row the Third was so popular maybe you could package it in with other THQ games to push some stuff that wouldn't otherwise sell so great on its own?

Here are the suggestions you requested:

GTA V Anticipation Pack - $5-7.50 for GTA IV, Episodes from LC, and/or GTA 3 San Andres. Steam offered for $7.50 GTA IV + Episdoes, which is a tad high for people that already purchased for Xbox etc. If 2k is interested in those folks who may have migrated to the PC, they´ll need to go a little lower.

Mass Effect DLC 3 pack - From Ashes, Leviathan, and/or multiplayer DLC for 50-75% off. There has to be a huge potential customer base to tap from those who purchased based ME3 from Amazon for 50+% off who would be interested in the DLC if also offered at a discount. Activate on Origin, of course.

Saints Row DLC pack - same idea.

"Build-your-own-bundle" or really "buy-3-get-2-free": You already have the tech for offering buy one, and then receive the credit for another game free based on a past sale. So how about buy X number of games at a certain flat price point, and get credit to buy 2 more at the same flat price point. Like everything possible for the bundle is offered at $5, but if you buy 3 you get $10 in credit to buy two more $5 priced items, making a flexi-bundle for $15?

Total War Empires + Total War: Napolean for $5. Impulse, I think, has been offering this pack for $7.50 several times now. But I am not buying until it hits $5. Does Sega/Amazon want my money?

Other:

Really the stuff I am most interested in is from Bethusda (Fallout 3 stuff and Skyrim) and LucasArts (KOTOR 2). So increasing the catalogue should be priority 1.

This is not bundle related at all, but Sniper Elite V2 - Kill Hitler DLC!

Want to buy it. Don't even care much about a sale at this point, just want to buy it!

Edit:

Checked around and it seems only Steam has it right now? Maybe its a steam exclusive for a while? In that case I will wait it out.

Thought I answered this a couple of days ago, my bad.

We're getting the DLC we're just waiting on keys.

Great news! This has probably been my new favorite purchase from Amazon this year :)

Thanks for the taking the time to read over all our blather, Tony. Honestly, the code giveaways are awesome. The fallout is coming from CAG's distribution methods. It has zero to do with you or Amazon, and I know I speak for everyone here when I say we all do appreciate it, and it only encourages us to support Amazon PCDD more.

Also, that DotEmu bundle is a CRAZY deal for people who want those games. GOG sells most of those for $5 each when they're on sale, so $9.99 for all of them? Wow.
10% off code to everyone who had ever purchased Borderlands GOTY from us digitally
Tony,

Never got this promotional code from Amazon.com, I could get you my order # from ordering Borderlands GOTY on 2/14/12. Any chance you could help me out?

Hate ordering from another site instead of Amazon, not the CAG way to pay more. But sometimes it's better to pay a tad extra in support of the website and company.

Thanks.

Never mind. Did not receive an email but there is a promo showing up at checkout. I guess the promo is just automatically applied to your account without entering any code.

Anyone else looking to buy Borderlands 2? Thought I would check in one last time before pre-ordering it at Amazon. Seems that 10% off promo from ordering Borderlands GOTY is on my account even though I did not get an email about it. And that does not suck.

11. We haven't had a "suggest your own bundle" conversation in a while. If anyone is interested in doing this I'm happy to discuss and pitch your thoughts to vendors. I'd love to look at some of the guys that we don't promote all the time as well to get your thoughts, but am happy to take any input. Again, this is voluntary and I can't guarantee that we'll be able to run them, but if we talk about some and I think there is a chance we'll be able to run them, I'll pitch them :). Let me know.

Also thanks for the giveaway codes, I really wanted to try this game out and this is awesome! I personally see no issue with a tiered release to decrease hoarding.

thanks for the sales Tony.

heck, the product features writeup for Irem Arcade Hits is probably enough for me to buy it :D
I'll let you guys in on a little secret for the War of the Roses beta...

Fat Shark games are usually pretty bad and this isn't shaping up to be an exception. It's basically Mount and Blade without a meaningful single player campaign condensed into a team-based multiplayer arena brawl. And that's just from videos, I didn't bother redeeming/asking for a beta key.

Re: your spoiler - they have, what, 4 games out? Have you played all of them? Because Hamilton's is awesome.

and I'm guessing he judged Krater by its Metacritic. Krater isn't for everyone but its a prime example of Metacritic's shortcomings.

Thanks Tony, I'm in for DotEmu games on the 8/12.
Great to pick up DRMFree games.
Maybe you can convince publishers to make Steam/GFWL optional too. :) I'd buy a lot more games if they didn't have it mandatory.

I've judged by playing them all but WoTR. Krater is a prime example of a decent concept with extremely poor execution. I don't judge anything on Metacritic. Site is about as useful as IGN or Total Biscuit.

I looked at their list of games and I haven't played them all but I would hold most of them in the better than average to good group.

I'm assuming you mean "when are we going to promote these games at a discount?" because we're already selling them.

Cheers,
Tony

Want to hear something funny? Yesterday, August 8th, I randomly get an email from Amazon finally giving me the $5 promotional code for the THQ pack I bought well over a month ago. Don't know why there was such a delay on the email.

You should know better Tony, you are on CAG after all :p

Rise to the Occasion: Risen 1 and 2, + all DLC.
The Ezio Trilogy: AC2, ACB, ACR, + all DLC.
GPU Stress Test: Metro 2033, Max Payne 3, Crysis 2?

Personally think Crysis is a better fit for that bundle lol.

I got mine 3 days ago, so your not the only one! Same, not sure what was with the delay

I know it's been done before, but I'd like to see a deal on Dungeon Defenders. Trying to get some new people in to the game and a sale would certainly help.

Not a "no" just a "don't have anything locked in yet".

Tony, the site has the download version of Darksiders II listed as coming out tomorrow. This an error or perhaps when the game can be pre-loaded?

Would love to see that.

Seconded. I'd like to have both games + DLC DRM free or Steam redeemable, but not for the prices I've seen. Why? Because Risen 1 is free-to-play on GamersGate's Void service.

If a bundle had a good value though, I'd probably jump on it!

nice suggestions on the bundles but i would have to pass on them since i have 1 or more already. i hope Tony is able to provide single game discounts as well as bundles.

Bundle suggestion:

Maximum Payne Bundle:
Max Payne 3 + Rockstar Pass (Season Pass for MP3 DLC's);
Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne;
I would ALSO add Max Payne 1 to this bundle, but I don't see y'all having it listed there...

i would like to see Alpha Protocol on sale, maybe a spy bundle with alpha protocol, james bond bloodstone, and splinter cell conviction

Tony, is there any chance Prototype (first one), would be steam redeemable? I know Prototype 2 is steamworks, but don't think Prototype is.

Tony,

Just wanted to share something I read. Erik Kain, one of the more respected gaming journalists, mentioned a deal he received from Amazon (Dragon Age Ultimate Edition for $7.50) in the comments section of a story he wrote. While Amazon does get its fair share of press, especially the deal tracking stories, any press is good press.

Char Ell 6 hours ago
I’m still reading this blog. I appreciate balanced, thoughtful critique and am really turned off by those who rant and range over a piece of entertainment. It hardly seems worth the effort to get so bent out of shape over something that in the grand scheme of things is fairly trivial. Yes, BioWare’s Dragon Age 2 disappointed me. I purchased Mass Effect 3 but have yet to play it because I’m still playing Star Wars: The Old Republic and will likely wait for all the single player DLC for ME3 to be released before. I have decided that for future BioWare single player RPG’s I will wait for a “content complete” version to be released before purchasing. I don’t much care for a significant portion of the DLC model that BioWare currently uses. But if BioWare and EA choose not to release complete versions of their games, a la Dragon Age 2 and Mass Effect 2 as opposed to Dragon Age: Orgins Ultimate Edition, I may not be buying any more BioWare games.

Erik Kain , Contributor 6 hours ago
That makes sense. The complete-content editions are great, anyways. I got every last piece of Dragon Age (origins, awakenings, dlc) for $7.50 on Amazon!

$7.50?! That’s insane. Especially considering the amount of hours per playthrough and replayability of the game.

Anyone here know if I pre-order Sleeping Dogs off amazon and put it in steam if I would still get the TF2 items or does it have to be directly pre ordered from steam for it to qualify?
