This is "do it at your own risk" situation thats covered in the new Trading and Feedback rules. Meaning no feedback is to be left for this , as well as a special warning that this isn't what Amazon designed Prime to be used for.
If they get wise, and kick everyone out of Prime - don't expect us mods to worry about getting you your money back (assuming you were not the original Prime purchaser).

(idea is from slickdeals)

A year of Amazon Prime costs $80.

Amazon Prime has a feature where you can invite four other people to share the subscription with you. The Amazon terms say that the people need to live at the same address, but several people from slickdeals say this is not the case.

So people get together in groups of 5, paypal $16 over to one trusted guy. The trusted guy buys the prime membership and adds the other four as household members sharing the subscription.

Then everyone in the group gets Amazon Prime for a year, for $16.

The initial purchaser needs these three pieces of information from the people who are joining:

1) Birth date (Month and Day only)
2) Name associated with the Amazon account that wants to be added to prime
3) The e-mail address associated with your Amazon account that wants to be added to prime

The people joining the account need the birth date (month and day only) of the originating account member to accept the invitation.

The group is tentitively filled. I'll confirm once I receive $16 from all parties and send out all invites. Big thanks to CAG for letting this happen - I posted about making a Prime group a couple times on Slick Deals and the threads got taken down within seconds of posting! What a bunch of stick in the mudds!

So you're going to keep adding and deleting people from your account every 30 days? That's probably not a good idea.

That's a HUGE red flag for amazon... They have closed accounts before because of Non-Household prime.

I think we better just stick to 1-yr renew.

;_; Want Amazon Prime...am missing it...and I kind of need it for school right now. XD Essay turned out to be due earlier than I expected and I don't think I can fin the books I need unless I buy 'em. I bet by the time I'm PMed, it'll be too late. Either way, someone please contact me if they plan to start an Amazon Prime account. :)
 
Hmm...how much does Paypal take off payments anyway? 2.9% + .30, right?
If I remember correctly, Amazon Prime is really $79...so $15.8 for each person...If my calculations are correct, we should probably pay ~$16.60 to the creator of the Amazon Prime family account. Although if it winds up being $80, then ~$16.80. Or if you aren't picky with cents, $17. Decimals are so evil, haha.

Yes, I'm being more of a cheapass than the rest of us by doing the calculations. But eh, I'm an English major, so feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. ;;
