Amazon promotion credit question

I'm thinking about getting the 4GB xbox 360 console with the $50 promo credit. There is a chance that I might not need to upgrade but I wanted to know if I bought it and used the credit what would the return process be like? Would they just refund $50 less since I already used the credit?

Chances are if I buy the console I would just hold off on using the credit so I don't run into this issue but I'm curious if anyone knows the facts on that.

I'm pretty sure the promotional credit is subtracted from your refund. Otherwise, people would've already run them into the ground with sneaky little schemes.

just return it as something that is "their fault" and you get the full refund. Unauthorized purchase, damaged during shipping, defective, etc.

I pre-ordered MOH from them and decided to return it. They left the credit on my account for over a month before I finally used it. They do not give you a 100% return though I believe.

I'm not trying to scam them, I just want to know what the procedure is.
