Amazon - Rune Factory: Frontier Wii - $19.99

Anyone recommend this? I enjoyed Rune Factory 2 on the DS, but it felt a little lacking to me. Is this one any better?

I picked it up for $15 and it's just more of the same. I played it for about an hour and shelved it. I'm done with Harvest Moon/Rune Factory until the series evolves into something worth my time.

RF2 was ridiculously easy. I actually had a pretty hard time with RFF. Surprised the hell out of me. Amazingly the batteries in the Wii Remote lasted 50 hrs playing this game, I guess the classic controller really saves on consumption. Not that that should be a factor in buying the game.

Overall I was pretty "meh" about RF2 and happy (not thrilled) with RFF.

I bought it at full price since I'd never tried a DS version of the game, it's nothing special. It's a harvest moon game with some subpar RPG combat and annoying gaming mechanic that forces you to spend a lot of time redistributing objects between different zones in the game to maintain a balance for crops to grow.

Bought it for 14.99 at GS too (I believe they probably marked up all their new copies to the used price of 24.99), since I hadn't played rune factory before at all it was decent, and this was my first harvest moon on the Wii. I wouldn't pay full price for this, but a good long game on the Wii is hard to find.

I found RFF at GameStop recently with red $19.99 stickers across their new copies, so Amazon will have to settle for a tie.

I personally enjoyed this game very much for how it improved over the previous two games. I do admit however that the Runey system that controls the ability to grow your crops can be tedious; That is my only gripe.
