Amazon Super Saver Shipping Question

Has anyone tried out amazon's super saver shipping? I don't remember using it before, but my brother told me horror stories on how it lags ass. He said it takes about a month to get what you've ordered :? . Can anyone confirm that? Im ordering the Z-680's and I want to know before I shell out 40 extra on shipping.
 
I have had no problems with the super shipping in terms of lag- used it probably half a dozen times. Maybe a 2 week delay if an item was out of stock.

Only time I had a problem was a large item that arrived in terrible shape- all beat up and packed poorly. But it was easy to return and I got a full refund.
 
I never had a problem, items ship as normal and take about a week to get to me. No big deal. Perfect shipments each time.
 
I don't know about a month. Maybe in extreme cases where items are on backorder it might take that long. I ordered three books for my Mom on Wednesday of last week, and they are schedule to arrive today or tomorrow. It's not lightning quick, but I've never had an order take longer than two weeks using the super saver method.

It didn't lag for me. I ordered those cheap 5.1 speakers off of the front page on the 31st and am expecting them in tommorrow. Not bad at all for free shipping (plus they send it UPS with the super saver opition0
 
I usually don't order from amazon, since they rarely have the lowest prices for what I want. However, when I have I've gotten everything rather quickly, maybe a week tops.
 
I use it all the time....ordered the speakers and received them in less than a week. Just received my DVD's I ordered with it too, got them in shipped Mon or Tuesday....got it Thursday
 
i also orderd the z-680s and to my suprise they arrived the next day.... its hit and miss with amazon.. but i haven't gotten anything from them late... usually really early or on time.
 
i've used the super saver before.. sometimes it takes a couple days, sometimes it takes a couple weeks... I've never had any complaints with their shipping though...
 
My wife ordered something last night (9/9) with Super Saver. On the stat page, it says that it won't ship out until 9/15 (5 days from now) which I think is strange. It does estimate that we'll receive the item on the 21st or 22nd, which is fine because we need it before the 27th (need the item for vacation and that's when we're going).
 
I always use Super Saver when I order from Amazon, which comes Priority Mail when I get my items.

Never had a problem with it, it ships when they say it ships (or occasionally earlier), and it shows up in 3 days. Worst case 4.

No reason I can see to change it, unless I needed it ASAP.
