Amazon: Vita Wifi with free Mortal Kombat and 4GB memory card (expires 5/12)

If you want the wifi model I think AZ is the better deal (unless you are partial to a particular game BB is offering) because you also get the memory card.

If you want the 3G model then go with Best Buy becasue AZ isn't including it in their promotion

Yeah it really depends on game of your choice, but I prefer MK over what BB is offering. Plus no tax, that's another $25 savings for me (9.5% IL tax)

9.5%? Yikes! I didnt know any state was that high. I guess Im lucky here with my 7%
if you want to get the 3g vita at bestbuy it comes with a free psn game and a 8gb card it's hard to pick
Someone mentioned that the free psn game deal already expired. Not sure though. Plus the free game is not really free as you have to pay for one month of 3g service before you get the "free" game.

Slidecage stop drinking or doing whatever else is making you hallucinate more than usual. Re-read the email, as suggested.

I'm debating about picking up MK for the Vita. Is Mortal Kombat still having issues with their online netcode for the Xbox version? I know PS3's is utter crap.

It was 9.75 here last year

I'm also at 9.5%, but at least I have no income tax. :)

I was thinking about jumping on this, but then I noticed two 8GB Vita memory cards being sold by a Marketplace seller for $19.99 each ($16 + $3.99 shipping), so I jumped on those instead. $39.98 for 16GB is a pretty good deal IMO considering the consistently high prices for Vita memory cards. \\:D/

Now I just need to find a Wi-Fi Vita for ~$150 and I'm all set! :whee:

I never had problems with the 360 version online after the first patch. That said the Vitas works quite well, I've only had 1-2 laggy matches and I've done 50

MK for Vita is excellent, full of content (including an extra Tower with many more levels specific to Vita, and all original content from the big console versions). Well worth getting for the Vita, for a fighting game on the go.

LOL
I would wait until E3 anyways to see if this thing has a price drop or a future of any sort.
Looks like Sony is fucking the Vita just like they did with Go.

At least the GO had 16GB of bulit-in memory. I wonder how many kids got launch systems with no memory card, then realizes they couldn't play the games they got due to ZERO system memory? Super stupid of Sony and all in the name of GREED.

I don't see you complaining about the over priced hard drives on the 360. Trolls will be trolls.

Yes but the 360 at least came with some form of storage. Vita had none whatsoever.

Since this is already way off-topic and a repost at that, I think Inafune's Vita game that was just revealed looks very intriguing, and I can't wait for Gravity Rush next month either. I'm happier with my Vita than my 3DS already, despite being a fan of Mario, Star Fox, and smaller stuff like Nano Assault as well.

Dude, don't come in here ignorantly labeling me. I own two PS3's and two 360's....plus a Wii. I just call it like I see it. If you don't like that, tough 4 u.

You can use a USB drive with 360s. This cannot be done with the Vita. Before you come at someone, educate yoself playa.

Exactly! I'll take it a step further.....even if the Vita had no on board memory, but would let you use their already existing Pro-Duo (PSP) or even the memory stick micro (GO), then that wouldn't be nearly as bad. Instead, Sony created a whole new memory stick to force EVERYBODY to buy it...with a system that has no built-in memory. Now you tell me how that isn't a greedy @ss move!

And how much were memory prices back in 2005? I'm sure it's more than the price of the memory carts for the Vita now and you forgot about the xbox 360 core version which came with no memory.

If making false claims like PSP graphics which are false, then following it up by trying to make a big deal about something that's well known isn't trolling, then I don't know what is. You can try to defend yourself all you want, you're still a troll in my eyes, my lil trollie :)

When the 360 was first launched, this couldnt be done. They didn't add this functionality until what...a year or so ago? Until then, the 360 used proprietary memory drives, which were very much overpriced. If you bought a core system back at launch you got what...a 256MB memory card? The Vita 3G launched with an 8GB card, and most places gave away a 4GB card with the WiFi only system.

The fact is, both Microsoft and Sony have done this with system launches in the current gen. For some reason, people seem to want to completely forgive Microsoft for doing it though.

I'm I could be wrong here, but I can only remember 5ish systems to launch since disc-based games came along that didn't require the use of proprietary memory storage.

PS3
Wii
NDS
3DS
The 5000 models of Gameboy that have been released.

How many of those belong to Microsoft? If anything, Nintendo is the only company that seems to have a track record for releasing systems without the need for new memory solutions. Except for the Gamecube, I can't think of any others.

You couldnt do that at launch, that was added later

It's a common defense for trolls to make up the ownership of multiple systems to try and steer people off their fanboy trail.

"SONY iz so greedee! I haz 403 PS3s, 154 WeeS and too many pSpS to count!!1!! But Microsoft iz da best 1!!!1!!12!!!"
