Amazon: Vita Wifi with free Mortal Kombat and 4GB memory card (expires 5/12)

You guys are comparing a system launch in 2012 to one in 2005? Jesus. Look, we have much advanced in the world of storage; and for Sony to pull this shit is inexcusable! They could've added a SD slot, sorta like their biggest competitor, but they didn't. And you all are justifying their decisions with a very irrelevant, and weak argument. 2005 was a lonnnng time ago people. Just because Microsoft did it 7 years ago, does not make it ok for Sony to do it now.
It's a common defense for trolls to make up the ownership of multiple systems to try and steer people off their fanboy trail.

"SONY iz so greedee! I haz 403 PS3s, 154 WeeS and too many pSpS to count!!1!! But Microsoft iz da best 1!!!1!!12!!!"

Fools! Look at my sig!

This game is awesome. I had it on PS3 and have it on my Vita now. The cut scenes look exactly like they do on PS3. The difference is during the actual gameplay the graphics are noticeably different but they only look bad when it shows their stupid animations/comment at the beginning and ending of a fight. During the actual fighting it looks good because its on a small screen.

CAG has got a lot of WAG... whiney ass gamers.
I sure Vita will do $50 - $75 price cut to compete with 3DS.
nah i dont see sony doing that... now packing in more free stuff yes.. price drop nope

I still don't know why Sony didn't use SD cards instead of their proprietary cards. They claim it is to prevent privacy, but that's a lame excuse.

I mean, the 3DS uses SD cards (2GB card included + 2GB internal storage) and it hasn't been hacked yet (and it has been our in the market longer than the Vita).

And not only that, but the Vita Memory Cards are considerable slower than a Class 10 SD Card (you can buy a PNY 32GB Class 10 card for $30 at Amazon).

So, yeah... Sony definitely dropped the ball here. They just wanted maximum profit from the memory cards.

I almost jumped on this deal, not a bad deal at all, but I am going to wait it out a bit longer.

Of course they will have a price cut, every single system gets a price cut at some point in it's life. The question is not if, but when. The addition of games is a great move, but it is a move every system does in the attempt to boost sales.

All three current consoles price cuts took approximately 2 years (not including the 3ds)? The recent reported weekly sale of 91,868 3ds systems compared to 10,583 vita sales in Japan may make a price cut come sooner than later. Either way I hope it starts selling better in all the major markets. Great system that I want to own soon.

I jumped on this deal. about $330 in total for everything separately, it came to $263 with next day shipping. That's cheaper than just getting the system at a B&M store and having to pay tax.

I'd be surprised if there was a price cut. Sony says they're happy with current sales. I think all the 3DS fanboys are just makin up for when they had to take the beating when the 3DS first came out.

The only problem I have with the Vita is the proprietary memory cards - other than that I'm loving the handheld. I'm so jealous of Japan they've had KH DDD since March. They also need to announce that they will be releasing Fire Emblem here in the states already.

Was just about to check out when I thought WAAAAAIT!!! E3 is less than a month away! Ugh. It's gonna be a lonnnng couple weeks; but it'll be worth it to see whether or not Sony will drop the price.

I'm going to hold out until after E3 at least. There's a decent chance they'll either do a price drop or at least a new bundle that, in effect, will be the same as a price drop.
This system should have had 16 gig internal memory (or come bundled with a free 16 gig card) included from the start. Doesn't Sony want people to buy downloadable games for the system?

Of course there will be a price cut! THe question is not if, but WHEN. Every system gets a price cut at some point in the consoles lifespan.

Sony stating they are 'happy' with current sales is typical business jargon. It is like MS saying they were happy with the 360 sales in Japan in the beginning. Of course they are not happy with the current sales in Japan. How could they! The PSP outsold the Vita and not by just a small amount. I just hope the Vita gets on track. I want to see some awesome games and support!
