I've had one of these for about a year and never opened it. So much for my plans to take the wii to other peoples places occasionally.

My friend has one and surprsing its been over a year and he has yet to replace the batteries, and he plays his Wii all the time.

You should use rechargeable batteries like the excellent Eneloop, that can keep a 70% charge for a year. This way you save money and reduce pollution.

I would check Radioshack... I found mine for $2 at the one in West Towne Mall in Madison, WI.
