Some of the prices on those complete collections are mighty, mighty tempting. If that Love Hina collection is the Perfect collection...I don't know if I can pass that up...!

But, but...DDD, Rightstuf, DVDPacific, Best Buy, and eBay have wiped me out!
buyritegames.com and buyritedvd.com are not related.
Yes. They are not related in any way, shape, or form.

It's an unfortunate coincidence on the name.

Everytime BuyRiteDVD is mentioned, someone inevitably chimes in OMFG BUYRUTEGAMES WUZ TEH SUX.

Do some research, people. Shit. I hate having to defend them everytime from baseless insults.

Glad I'm not the only one sick of the "ZOMG BUYRITE LOLX0rZ n00b j00 BOUGHTWRONG" crap.

Buyritedvd does take a little while to ship as much as 4 or 5 days on some occasions, but they've always come through.

Eh, once again the mystery ensues with the poorly described items. Most likely everything that says "box" but doesnt include "complete" or "set" is just 1 volume with the box, or the box itself.

It's legit. I was gonna post it when it went live. After I placed my order. They've been prepping for this sale at AoD.com for at least a week.

Sale won't start until Monday or Tuesday.

And chill with the buyrite stuff. BuyRiteDVD is a reputable company. I've placed several large orders with them. I believe they're based out of New Jersey.

I can't trust a site that wouldn't immediately rename themselves when they realize how much bad blood their name inspires.

Come on guys. Jeeze I know for a fact that they are a legit reputable site. Only thing I wonder is whether Cheapy has cleared them to post here, but with them saying that there will be a link here I guess it has.

By the way guys, jump all over that Witch Hunter Robin set. It is so worth it.

I'm also comtemplating Love Hina and Jin Roh (I've seen this one, but it is just such a good anime movie).

I've been searching the site for the items, but none are coming up. I was trying to find out if s-CRY-ed Box was indeed the complete box set as that's the only one i didn't have enough money to pick up last December at Rightstuf's 12 days of christmas.
I can't trust a site that wouldn't immediately rename themselves when they realize how much bad blood their name inspires.
I doubt people outside of gaming circles even know the bad blood associated with the name.
I can't trust a site that wouldn't immediately rename themselves when they realize how much bad blood their name inspires.
Yeah, and you've decided to never buy anything Nintendo because they didn't rename from their console from Wii too right?
These are real US DVDs.
wow! is anime now cheap these days or is this a super special once-in-a-lifetime sale?

I would like to add that I ordered like $500 worth of stuff from them and I'm very pleased. Sadly, one of the DVDs were damaged during shipping but they were quick to replace it. What they lack in selection, they make up for in customer service and rock bottom prices.
wow! is anime now cheap these days or is this a super special once-in-a-lifetime sale?
They sell stuff wholesale so their prices reflect that... anime is still on the expensive side, those it's not as expensive as it was a few years back.
Anyone mind giving me their thoughts on Love Hina and Please teacher? Possibly comparing them to other popular anime?
Please Teacher is a crappy Ah! My Goddess featuring space aliens who act in completely illogical ways to advance the absurd plot. Oh, and the main character has a "disease" that makes his body look younger, just so they can stick in some seemingly pedophilic sequences with him and his older (alien!) teacher. Super-lame.

Love Hina is your standard harem comedy-romance, in which you'll see the male lead character being knocked into the sky every three minutes for misunderstandings that make him seem like a complete pervert to the rest of the female cast. The manga might be worth your time, but the anime is incredibly mediocre. Oh, and the dub is genuinely atrocious.

Only watched the first two eps of Hina so far seemed ok. probably get around to watching the rest someday. It might be my sometimes strange taste in music but I thought the opening theme was catchy.

Thanks for the input Kirin Lemon. I wonder how companies can manage to still screw up dubbing nowadays? Anywho, you saved me $70. I'll be using that to get Last Exile at the next DDD sale.

A much better choice!

I can't say anything bad about Please Teacher!, I enjoyed it. The animation and music was superb. If you want soft core porn, you can't go wrong. XD Episodes 12 and 13 were good stuff.

I've only seen vol 1 of Last Exile, but I really want to see the rest of it. Top notch quality. It has one of my favorite intros that I've seen in an anime. And they have like every good English VA who's ever dubbed in that show as well. Too bad it's so expensive...
For some reason I cant find s-cry-ed or piloit candidate on the site........
The OP said due this week not up now.

Ive ordered many times from Buyrite and have always been very happy. They are a great source for anime....and one of the best catalogs ever!

Yeah, I saw a few episodes of last exile when they had that marathon on Tech TV. I thought it was pretty good. I plan on buying the ultra mega box set, lol.
I doubt people outside of gaming circles even know the bad blood associated with the name.
But then they (like someone did in this very thread) might do a BBB search or even a simple Google search before ordering to see if they can trust them. There's no way that name will help sales; it can only hurt.
Yeah, and you've decided to never buy anything Nintendo because they didn't rename from their console from Wii too right?
There's a difference between having a name that's goofy and having a name that's easily mistaken for something bad. If they called it the Nintendo Rapist, then yeah, I wouldn't be able to take them seriously.

Theyre only selling volume 1, so obviously you gotta scout elsewhere for the other 3.

Found some good stuff on the website, but none of the complete collections are available yet. I'll wait til they're up.
I'm hoping to get Galaxy Angel A and Geneshaft.
Really nice prices.

I really like the theme song, though I realize it's an acquired taste.

Rented it once. Never got past disc one.

Yes, Love Hina is an acquired taste, I enjoy it, but I was never able to figure out why. On Please Teacher, I do not believe that it is a crappy OMG rip-off. Yes, its a rip-off but it is well done IMO, and the disease makes him go into super-comas (what I call them, basically his body completely shuts down), his "stand-still" as he calls it lasted for 3 years, so he looks 15 when he's really 18. Yes, the aliens act weird, but what do you expect, they're aliens. (Look at Uresei Yatsura, okay bad example). Anyway, Please Teacher is kind of what you'd get if you took My Favorite Martian, and Oh My Goddess and put them in a blender, and hit frapay. (sp) What have you got to lose aside from that money. But, if you're still not sure try to rent it. It's worth at least a look.

Please Teacher Ltd Box w/ CD 19.99

There is a Love Hina Complete Collection that does not contain the movies (and maybe not even Love Hina Again I don't remember). Make sure it is the perfect collection that contains everything if you're gonna buy it.

I downloaded the English dub first before buying the perfect collection and said to myself "this has to be a fan dub the voice acting is too terrible". The voice acting is sooooooo bad it really detracts from the 'story'. You can't even enjoy the fan service. I haven't watched the dvds since then but I assume there is a subbed japanese version on there.
i'm not seeing any of these dvds on the site?
I said it before I'll say it again. THE OP said DUE THIS WEEK they didn't say available now.

Attention all Anime fans due in this week will be the following titles.
It's only Vol. 1 with the soundtrack, post cards, mini manga, and a mouse pad. It actually is quite cheap compared to other places (35+)

Though you can buy the complete set for 40 something, without all the extra stuff. This is obvisouly the better choice, unless you can get the other 3 for cheap.

Please twins is pretty much the same deal. IMO, it's actually a better show, but I'm probably Bias, since I fansubbed the show in thai and I have very fond memories of it. I never went around to get the DVDs though, so I guess this is a good chance.
I think it's probably going to be this one

Buyrite did this same thing the last time, putting generic titles but not giving any details whether they are complete or not.

For the past 2 sales they've had the "Witch Hunter Robin Box", "S-Cry-Ed box" and the "Please Teacher box with cd" just by the fact that these have lasted so long, i doubt theyre the full boxsets. Hopefully when the items are put up on the site, they'll have a little more detail.

Does anyone know when this will start and I really wish that there would be more information regarding what comes with these DVDs.
