fuck s-cry-ed complete collection for $9.99?! I couldn't believe I missed it when I read the list last night :bomb:

The WHR complete collection and Love Hina complete collection are the digipak versions released in a limited run for the '04 holiday season (just like the s-cry-ed collection). I believe the WHR collection has the digipak in a book like cardboard case with a pin set.

Well, nobody knew it was the complete collection. There was no description or picture for many hours. And then customer service was called and then it sold out in less than an hour. So, don't beat yourself up over missing it. There was a very tiny window of opportunity.

hey i was damn surprised i ACTUALLY got a winning ticket in this lottery...i'm usually the unlucky one to be the last to know...

ordered the complete sets of Outlaw Star and Witch Hunter Robin yesterday... thanks OP!!!!! And thanks again to Kirin Lemon for helping me out with the info I needed!

To anyone who works on that site... any chance of changing the way shipping selection works? It's the first time I've ever seen a site use some kind of "honor system" like that and it's very confusing! If you just browse through this thread you'll see there was way too much speculation over how the shipping was supposed to work.
Yes. They are not related in any way, shape, or form.

It's an unfortunate coincidence on the name.

Everytime BuyRiteDVD is mentioned, someone inevitably chimes in OMFG BUYRUTEGAMES WUZ TEH SUX.

Do some research, people. Shit. I hate having to defend them everytime from baseless insults.
Good thing I actually READ this b4 or i was gonna end up leaving one of those statements.

I wish I didn't buy the Oshii Triology a couple of months ago, would of saved me almost $15. Its a great box set if you are into weird experamental films.

And I wish I had few more $ to afford the Outlaw Star Box.

Ooh, this just in from the OP:
Attention - everyone who has missed out on some collections. We will be restocking on most of the titles that have sold out as well as bringing in some new titles. It seems that the people who purchased the S-CRYED Set got the deal of a lifetime as that set was misspriced .... ENJOY THE DEAL...
Now im wishing i had gotten more than one if the next stock is gonna be higher priced. Ah well, at least i got one for myself.

MISPRICED?! JEEEESE I'M SO FRIKIN LUCKY. not to rub it in anyone's face at all...honestly...i'm just amazed that i actually got in on a misprice for the first time in my entire life....ok im done now.. :bouncy:
Nice of them to honor a misprice like that.
Yeah, they could have pulled a "Best Buy"; I just got an email about that House ssn 2 set I ordered for ~$18 got axed/cancelled/shot. >_<

*sigh*

But hey, I also got an email with confirmation that the s-CRY-ed Box set order has been fulfilled. :D

Awesome deal! I have to thank Buy Rite DVD for not screwing us over and cancelling the orders. Very cool of them.

i totally agree...though i don't know what you meean by "pulled a Best Buy"?

lol he explained it right after the ";" (i.e. cancelling it). It's just an expression.

I thought the first half of s-cry-ed was pretty hokey, but I enjoyed the last 13 episodes. Can't wait to get the box, as my order was also fulfilled earlier today. Curious as to what other things are going to be put up soon; as was mentioned in the AOD forums.

I would've called it pulling an "Overstock". Neon Genesis Evangelion Platinum thinpak set for $5.99, lol, now that would've been a deal.

My orders have been fufilled. Hopefully they'll add some more decent deals in.
Heh, I'd feel worse if I actually liked s-CRY-ed. But I'm glad some of you guys were able to get in on the deal.
Hey, for $10 for a set you can't go wrong. I only saw sparse episodes while it was being shown on Cartoon Network, and by no means did the show seem horrible, but nothing spectacular. I'll have to see the entirety of it to decide.

Oh, my Infinite Ryvius and S-cry-ed has been fulfilled. let's just see how long it for them to get here.

It sounds like they could be selling the s-cry-ed restock for $49.99, which would be more in line with the price of other complete collections that they are selling at.

Someone could have ordered all the $9.99 s-cry-ed. Or they became aware of the misprice and temporarily pulled the stock.

does anyone know how long this sale is going to last...i'm really interested in purchasing the WHR complete collection and i have to wait another 3 weeks until my birthday....so hopefully it does last a while...?:fridge:

Usually, it lasts until they run out of stock. They're not a traditional store, they usually get overstock from other stores and sell everything at a discount, which is why there are huge holes in their inventory and they may not have every volume in a series. Each item has a stock number, so you can look at that for an idea of how long each will last.

My Infinite Ryvius Box Set came today! You can only imagine my surprise when it did, and it came by DHL no less.

Details: It shipped from Edison, NJ. The box it was shipped in was very compact, the set fit snugly, so there wasn't any room for packing material. The set is brand new, factory sealed. I opened it and looked at the discs, all volumes include their premium items (I'm not sure what they are though, like really thick stickers or something) and all discs appear perfect except for the third volume, which had a few light scratches, none that would hamper playback though. There were no signs (ie, shaking the box set) to indicate any of the discs were dislodged during shipping, so those scratches must have come when the disc was manufactured. And yes, it is the ENTIRE series, volumes 1 through 6. And the set box is in great condition.

I chose the cheapest shipping option, so I didn't expect it to ship in a big box with lots of packing material. I'm very pleased! Especially since it all only cost < $17. :D

Exactly the same thing happened to me earlier today. I am very pleased as well.
Yeah, those are pencil boards. I liked the ones that came with that set.
Pencil boards...I've never heard of such a thing until now. I did a search on Wikipedia on Pencil Boards, that's pretty interesting. When I opened up volume one and saw that, I thought it was a mousepad, then I saw it has some sort of pull off paper, like a sticker.

Anyway, that's cool. ^_^

Man, now I can't wait for the s-CRY-ed set to arrive. It's amazing how many great deals have surfaced in so short a time. Maybe this Blu-Ray and HD DVD stuff is having more of an effect than we realize...or we're just really, really lucky. Either works for me. ^_^

when exactly did you order the infinite ryvius collection? just want to know so i can figure out when my S-Cry-Ed is going to get here...i'm hoping it'll be here soon :( and as for the shipping status of my order...is it shipped once it says "shipped"? or once it says "billed?

That's awesome guys. I hope mine comes in today or tomorrow. I haven't checked my mail yet. I order this the day/night they went on sale.

Well, both mine were switched to billed on Thurs Afternoon. Nothing today, so hopefully tomorrow.. (or else ill spend sunday bouncing back and forth waiting for the mail on monday...)
when did you order it? and where do you live? :hot:
Ordered it on Tuesday night, or whenever it first came up. I live in NC, and I think they're based in NJ, so it's no wonder I got it fast; it was also shipped DHL for some reason.

I live in California, Media mail probably is going to take more than a week to get here. Oh well, The price I pay for being a cheap ass and not choosing the more expensive service.

Oooh, nice to know they ship from NJ. I placed the order on Wednesday, I guess it's feasible that the stuff could show up in Long Island tomorrow then!

I also ordered as soon as I saw the box set posted. I checked the confirmation email, and I ordered on June 20th, which was Tuesday. They must have updated the page around 10:00 PM. I'm in IN, btw.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention it, but there wasn't a packing slip in the box. I thought that was odd. But, they give you the option of printing one out on their website, so I guess it's just a way for them to save on paper.

Anyway, I hope my s-CRY-ed box order also gets bumped to DHL for no apparent reason. ^_^

Just got an email from Buyrite, it seems that future dvd listings on the site will include the UPC code. You'll be able to copy it down, and search the code on other retailers to make sure of what the exact product is (no guessing about complete boxes, box with 1 volume, etc)

That'll definately take some of the worry out.

*EDIT*

This is wierd, i just compared some of the UPC codes, it seems that the UPC for "Please Teacher Limited Box & CD" which i was told is only 1 volume, is the same UPC code as the box with all 4 volumes.

Its the only one i can find a difference in, so im wondering if maybe they actually are the complete series. I think someone a few pages back said they ordered one, please, chime in if you get the whole series or just 1 dvd, thanks.

Im in Moorhead, MN (Right across the river from Fargo, ND) and DHL attempted to deliver my order today....2 days after it shipped. These guys definently have my future buisness.

My mail just came in, and I don't know how they do it but I ordered Wednesday night/Thursday early morning (right when the sale started basically) and one of my orders - Infinite Ryvius - just came in. Very fast. It was in a pretty tight box, but there was still enough room for it to move around. Came from Edison New Jersey so this has to be one of the fastest turn around times I've seen. Way faster than DDD. I ordered the Lain and Gungrave boxsets from Rightstuf well days before this deal and I still haven't received either one. Anyway, the box has a bit of a dent in one side it seems and a couple corners are scuffed, but I ain't gonna complain. It's sealed and for $15 how can you go wrong. This has been on my DDD wishlist for a very very long time. I think going on two or three sales now, and even after DDD 20% off discount it would still be $30. This is great. Thanks OP. I hope you offer many more deals like this.

This just in, the Please Teacher box is the COMPLETE SERIES, not just the first dvd.

This makes me wonder what the guy was looking at when he told me it was only 1 >

Yea, i had to do a double take, and i decided against it, instead i pre-ordered the FMA tin 3 for $25 from Video Universe. I'm still debating pre-ordering the DBZ Uncut Vegeta Boxset (Eps 1-40? - 975min) for $20. Its a really good deal.

I received my WHR box today, shipped by DHL (even though i chose first class). Its the "book" box. Comes with the 6dvds in a digipak and 3 pins in a coffin case. Pretty nice for $50. Cant wait til i get my S-cry-ed box, hopefully tomorrow.

I'm definately gonna buy from Buyrite again, the upgraded shipping is just another plus for them on my list.

hmmm berserker...do you think they will honor that misprice? i mean for the DBZ Uncut Vegeta boxset? and GAH i hope my s-cry-ed gets here by tomorrow too...we ordered it around the same time...and you live in fla...i live in GA...so it'd BETTER get here by tom..:bomb:

*EDIT* and the description of the Vegeta box set is "This collection presents the action-packed chronicle of sibling rivalry in its entirety with episodes 1-18." so i don't think its episodes 1-40....

I'm happy to hear you made the right decision.

Remember, crappy anime, no matter how heavily it may be discounted, is still crappy anime. Wasting money is one thing, but wasting multiple hours of time watching it might be even worse.

Well yea, i enjoyed it the first time watching it (unlike the monstrosity that was Please Twins), but then i thought "would i ever re-watch this?", obviously the answer was no. FMA is a much more logical thing to spend money on. I sometimes let my jew insticts of seeing a great deal get the best of me. At ADV sales i've bought Magical Play, Dai Guard Complete, and Devil Lady Complete just because they were on sale. I've yet to watch em.

I see that Buyrite has Saikano vol 2 on their site, i'd love for them to put up either the rest of the series, or the complete boxset. Just got done watching the series, and as depressing as it was, i wouldnt mind owning the actual dvds.

Since the last update was 6/21, maybe Weds. we'll see more anime titles added.
